Book excerpt: Because of its placid disposition, ease of maintenance, and alluring look, the White Tree Frog, scientifically known as Litoria caerulea, is a well-liked and attractive frog that is frequently kept as a pet. It is also called the "Dumpy Tree Frog" or the "Australian Green Tree Frog." Although it is native to Australia, New Guinea, and some parts of Indonesia, its hue can vary from green to blue-green depending on its surroundings and stress levels.
