Hot boys, the mall, best friends, dreams of an amazing future. So much potential. Downs? Hot boys, parental drama, frenemies, emotional craziness, snakes emerging from your head when angry… Yeah, I was surprised, too. How am I supposed to stay on my carefully planned path when my true biological heritage presents its ugly head—ahem, heads. And when the messengers of my so-called destiny happen to be two of the most incredibly hot and irritating males on the planet, I’m left fantasizing about my previously boring life. Am I supposed to believe that my duty is to seek vengeance? Or to grant mercy to the offender? And how on earth am I qualified to make these decisions? I’m bound to make mistakes along the way, but keep your fingers crossed that I don’t inadvertently send the world to Tartarus in a hand basket.

Book Synopsis Customization 4.0 by : Stephan Hankammer
Download or read book Customization 4.0 written by Stephan Hankammer and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-06-20 with total page 692 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This proceedings volume presents the latest research from the worldwide mass customization & personalization (MCP) community bringing together new thoughts and results from various disciplines within the field. The chapters are based on papers from the MCPC 2017. The book showcases research and practice from authors that see MCP as an opportunity to extend or even revolutionize current business models. The current trends of Industrie 4.0, digital manufacturing, and the rise of smart products allow for a fresh perspective on MCP: Customization 4.0. The book places a new set of values in the centre of the debate: a world with finite resources, global population growth, and exacerbating climate change needs smart thinking to engage the most effective capabilities and resources. It discusses how Customization 4.0 fosters sustainable development and creates shared value for companies, customers, consumers, and the society as a whole. The chapters of this book are contributed by a wide range of specialists, offering cutting-edge research, as well as insightful advances in industrial practice in key areas. The MCPC 2017 has a strong focus on real life MCP applications, and this proceedings volume reflects this. MCP strategies aim to profit from the fact that people are different. Their objective is to turn customer heterogeneities into opportunities, hence addressing “long tail” business models. The objective of MCP is to provide goods and services that best serve individual customers’ needs with near mass production efficiency. This proceedings volume highlights the interdisciplinary work of thought leaders, technology developers, and researchers with corporate entrepreneurs putting these strategies into practice. Book excerpt: The Evolution Arti?cielle cycle of conferences was originally initiated as a forum for the French-speaking evolutionary computation community. Previous EA m- tings were held in Toulouse (EA’94), Brest (EA’95, LNCS 1063), Nˆ?mes (EA’97, LNCS 1363), Dunkerque (EA’99, LNCS 1829), and ?nally, EA 2001 was hosted by the Universit ́e de Bourgogne in the small town of Le Creusot, in an area of France renowned for its excellent wines. However, the EA conferences have been receiving more and more papers from the international community: this conference can be considered fully internat- nal, with 39submissions from non-francophonic countries on all ?ve continents, out of a total of 68. Out of these 68 papers, only 28 were presented orally (41%) due to the formula of the conference (single session with presentations of 30 minutes) that all participants seem to appreciate a lot. The Organizing Committee wishes to thank the members of the International Program Committee for their hard work (mainly due to the large number of submissions) and for the service they rendered to the community by ensuring the high scienti?c content of the papers presented. Actually, the overall quality of the papers presented was very high and all 28 presentations are included in this volume, grouped in 8 sections which more or less re?ect the organization of the oral session: 1. Invited Paper: P. Bentley gave a great talk on his classi?cation of int- disciplinary collaborations, and showed us some of his work with musicians and biologists.
