This book was released on 1998 with total page 500 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: L'OBJECTIF PRINCIPAL DE NOS TRAVAUX DE RECHERCHE EST LE DEVELOPPEMENT D'UN SYSTEME D'ANALYSE MORPHO-SYNTAXIQUE BENEFICIANT D'UNE ARCHITECTURE DISTRIBUEE. NOUS AVONS MIS AU POINT LE PROTOTYPE TALISMAN II: UNE ARCHITECTURE MULTI-AGENTS D'ANALYSE AUTOMATIQUE DU FRANCAIS ECRIT. CES TRAVAUX SE SITUENT A L'INTERSECTION DE DEUX DISCIPLINES DE RECHERCHE : - LA LINGUISTIQUE AU TRAVERS DE L'ETUDE D'AMBIGUITES, NOTAMMENT DES AMBIGUITES RELEVANT DES NIVEAUX D'ANALYSE MORPHOLOGIQUE ET SYNTAXIQUE. LES FONDEMENTS LINGUISTIQUES DE CE SYSTEME SONT LES SUIVANTS : L'ETUDE DE LA LANGUE EN GENERAL, LA PRISE EN COMPTE DE PHENOMENES LINGUISTIQUES COMPLEXES (TELS LA COORDINATION, LA NEGATION, L'ELLIPSE,...), L'INDEPENDANCE DE TOUTE APPLICATION, ET, IL A POUR OBJECTIF DE FOURNIR POUR CHAQUE PHRASE, LA OU LES ANALYSES MORPHO-SYNTAXIQUES ATTESTEES PAR LA LANGUE DANS UN CONTEXTE DONNE. - L'INFORMATIQUE, ET PLUS PARTICULIEREMENT, LES SYSTEMES MULTI-AGENTS. NOUS NOUS SOMMES INTERESSE A LA COMMUNICATION (PRIMORDIALE DANS DE TELS SYSTEMES) DANS LA MESURE OU ELLE DOIT PERMETTRE AUX AGENTS LINGUISTIQUES DE DISPOSER DE LA BONNE INFORMATION AU BON MOMENT ET DE GERER AUSSI LES CONFLITS. DANS TALISMAN II, NOUS ILLUSTRONS LA GESTION DE CONFLITS LINGUISTIQUES EN MORPHO-SYNTAXE SUR UN CORPUS JOURNALISTIQUE. NOUS MONTRONS COMMENT LES AGENTS MORPH(OLOGIE) ET SYNT(AXE) RESOLVENT (EN INTERNE) CERTAINES SOLUTIONS MULTIPLES PROVOQUEES PAR LES AMBIGUITES RELEVANT DES NIVEAUX D'ANALYSE MORPHOLOGIQUE ET SYNTAXIQUE. ET, NOUS PRESENTONS DES EXEMPLES DE RESOLUTION COOPERATIVE PERMETTANT DE COMPRENDRE LA COMPLEXITE D'UN SYSTEME GENERAL D'ANALYSE AUTOMATIQUE D'UNE LANGUE, NOTAMMENT LORS DE LA PRISE EN COMPTE DE PHENOMENES LINGUISTIQUES COURANTS TELS QUE LA COORDINATION.

This book was released on 1994-06-30 with total page 596 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With this volume in honour of Don Walker, Linguistica Computazionale con tinues the series of special issues dedicated to outstanding personalities who have made a significant contribution to the progress of our discipline and maintained a special collaborative relationship with our Institute in Pisa. I take the liberty of quoting in this preface some of the initiatives Pisa and Don Walker have jointly promoted and developed during our collaboration, because I think that they might serve to illustrate some outstanding features of Don's personality, in particular his capacity for identifying areas of potential convergence among the different scientific communities within our field and establishing concrete forms of coop eration. These initiatives also testify to his continuous and untiring work, dedi cated to putting people into contact and opening up communication between them, collecting and disseminating information, knowledge and resources, and creating shareable basic infrastructures needed for progress in our field. Our collaboration began within the Linguistics in Documentation group of the FID and continued in the framework of the !CCL (International Committee for Computational Linguistics). In 1982 this collaboration was strengthened when, at CO LING in Prague, I was invited by Don to join him in the organization of a series of workshops with participants of the various communities interested in the study, development, and use of computational lexica.

This book was released on 2004-04-05 with total page 583 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Expert coverage of the design and implementation of state estimation algorithms for tracking and navigation Estimation with Applications to Tracking and Navigation treats the estimation of various quantities from inherently inaccurate remote observations. It explains state estimator design using a balanced combination of linear systems, probability, and statistics. The authors provide a review of the necessary background mathematical techniques and offer an overview of the basic concepts in estimation. They then provide detailed treatments of all the major issues in estimation with a focus on applying these techniques to real systems. Other features include: * Problems that apply theoretical material to real-world applications * In-depth coverage of the Interacting Multiple Model (IMM) estimator * Companion DynaEst(TM) software for MATLAB(TM) implementation of Kalman filters and IMM estimators * Design guidelines for tracking filters Suitable for graduate engineering students and engineers working in remote sensors and tracking, Estimation with Applications to Tracking and Navigation provides expert coverage of this important area.
