Book excerpt: Roughly five thousand years ago, the Persians noticed four stars were located at specific locations along the ecliptic at which the sun would pass in front of during the four seasons. These four stars and their constellations became integrated into the lore and mythology of religion. Th e royal Persian stars then became intertwined with the story of Jesus Christ, the Holy Roman Catholic Church, and St. Peter’s Basilica. In From Four Royal Persian Stars to Jesus and the Sun, author Eric Norland presents a primer on modern astronomy to show how this relationship developed. A world traveler and amateur astronomer, Norland delivers an explanation about the core of the Christian religion. He discusses the astronomy-related misunderstandings people had long ago, shows how these beliefs became the foundations of Christian religion, and provides an account of how many other religions found their inspiration. With a host of graphics and examples, From Four Royal Persian Stars to Jesus and the Sun digs into the core of religion and explains its early connection to astronomy.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some years ago it was my privilege to enjoy the acquaintance of Miss Frances Rolleston, of Keswick, and to carry on a correspondence with her with respect to her work, Mazzaroth: or, the Constellations. She was the first to create an interest in this important subject. Since then Dr. Seiss, of Philadelphia, has endeavoured to popularize her work on the other side of the Atlantic; and brief references have been made to the subject in such books as Moses and Geology, by Dr. Kinns, and inPrimeval Man; but it was felt, for many reasons, that it was desirable to make another effort to set forth, in a more complete form, the witness of the stars to prophetic truth, so necessary in these last days. To the late Miss Rolleston, however, belongs the honour of collecting a mass of information bearing on this subject; but, published as it was, chiefly in the form of notes, unarranged and unindexed, it was suited only for, but was most valuable to, the student. She it was who performed the drudgery of collecting the facts presented by Albumazer, the Arab astronomer to the Caliphs of Grenada, 850 a.d.; and the Tables drawn up by Ulugh Beigh, the Tartar prince and astronomer, about 1650 a.d., who gives the Arabian Astronomy as it had come down from the earliest times. Modern astronomers have preserved, and still have in common use, the ancient names of over a hundred of the principal stars which have been handed down; but now these names are used merely as a convenience, and without any reference to their significance. This work is an attempt to popularize this ancient information, and to use it in the interests of truth. For the ancient astronomical facts and the names, with their signification, I am, from the very nature of the case, indebted, of course, to all who have preserved, collected, and handed them down; but for their interpretation I am alone responsible. It is for the readers to judge how far my conclusions are borne out by the evidence; and how far the foundation of our hopes of coming glory are strengthened by the prophecies which have been written in the stars of heaven, as well as in the Scriptures of truth.

Book excerpt: For thousands of years humans looked to the stars for navigation, deities, personality insights, predictions and omens about the future. What can we learn from these heavenly bodies? The Bible says that the Lord placed them there as faithful witnesses to mark the seasons, the days, and the times. The Bible also tells of Wise Men from the east that followed a star to Bethlehem to find a king. What other events might be revealed by the movement of the stars and planets? Is there more hidden in the stars? Is there a Star Code?

Book excerpt: This original 2012 review by an Amazon Top 1000 Reviewer was redacted from the Amazon Website. "Author Daniel Briggs has done a lot of work to put together this remarkable compilation of evidence that we are inevitably heading toward a major shift in consciousness. I was very impressed: he must have read hundreds of books in his research of this compilation. It includes history going back to matriarchal times, biblical times, esoterica, alien influences, the Mayans (of course), the Bible code, Terence McKenna's analysis of the I-Ching, and much, much, MUCH more! Modern events such as 9-11 and OJ Simpson are weaved into the prophecies. Though I have read a great deal on the vast majority of these topics, I was nonetheless surprised and shocked by tidbits of info, such as the concept that men actually leave energy lines in women during sex, and these take 7 years to go away. Astronaut Edgar Mitchell went into Samadhi during his space flight. I was most astonished to learn that even hard-headed engineering types have concluded that this shift is inevitable as we head toward zero point energy. There is hope on the horizon! I love how Mr. Briggs suggests we will develop siddhis (powers) after the shift: 'Attendance at the Hogwarts schools of the new Golden Age promises inconceivable thrills as we develop our God-given siddhis in a natural and controlled environment. Without doubt, the most popular class will be flying. Sporadic levitations have been recorded throughout history, mostly connected with an overpowering euphoric vision: rapture.' My only complaint about this book is that there is no introduction for us to get the overall picture of what the book is about, nor is there an author bio. But if you want a summary of all things pointing to a major shift, this is a great read!" Susan Schenck, Amazon Top 1000 Reviewers

Book excerpt: This is study book four of The Sons of Sa-Nanada, the Ancient & Mystic Order of Iu-em-hetep, Jesus Christ. Question: where did the Roman's Christian deity originate? Answer: good question, the Roman's first worshiped a deity called Mithra. Mithra was an adaptation of the ancient Egyptian (Kemetian) deity Ra: hence Mith-Ra. Mithra was originally worshiped by the ancestors of the Persians when they were still united with the Dravidians of the Indus Valley. The Dravidians were already worshippers of Mithra. The hymns of the Vedas and Avesta celebrated the name of Mithra, and despite the differences between the two theological systems, the Vedic Mitra and the Persian Mithra have preserved the original Egyptian (Kemetian) origin of the Creative Force of Creation which is Ra. Both spiritual systems saw Mithra as a god of light, invoked together with Heaven, also known as Varuna by the Dravidians, and Ahura by the Persians; his main attribute was Protector of Truth, and the Antagonist of Falsehood and Lies.

Book excerpt: Hope is an endangered virtue in today’s chaotic world. Yet Christmas provides us with the inspiring reminder that our true hope lies not in the understanding that people can sometimes be good, but that God, who is good, is also faithful and loves us in our unloveliness and graces us in our gracelessness. In a unique guide for Christian travelers, Scott Mages marries the fascinating story of the figures that surround the infant Jesus in that inescapable seasonal tableau of shepherds and wise men, as told through the bible, folk tales, and art, with reflections on the enduring meanings of each. While addressing Christian curiosities like why so many manger scenes display Joseph with staff and lantern and where in the scripture we can find the ox and ass who preceded Mary in artists’ renditions, Mages leads others through the history of the figures of the crèche and their lessons while offering a spiritual preparation for Christmas. Shared for the curious and pious, lovers of odd facts and forgotten legends, and seekers of more than the glitz that often passes for Christmas, A Place for Jesus guides Christians on an inspiring journey to learn and understand the lessons surrounding the figures of the crèche.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The early Christian Gnosis did not spring up in isolation, but drew upon earlier sources. In this book, many of these sources are revealed for the first time. Special emphasis is placed on the Hellenistic doctrine of the "Solar Logos" and the early Christian symbolism which depicted Christ as the Spiritual Sun, the illumination source of order, harmony, and spiritual insight. Based on 15 years of research, this is a unique book which throws a penetrating light on the secret traditions of early Christianity. It clearly demonstrates that number is at the heart of being. Jesus Christ, Sun of God, illustrates how the Christian symbolism of the Spiritual Sun is derived from numerical symbolism of the "ancient divinities."
