Diese Thematik betrifft sowohl den kleinen gemeinnützigen Verein, als auch die großen Wohlfahrtsverbände. Die praktischen Erfahrungen, die ich im Rahmen meines Studiums sammeln konnte, haben mir gezeigt, dass die Vielfältigkeit von Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten in den Einrichtungen oft nicht bekannt sind. Wer aber weiterhin auf dem Markt der Sozialen Arbeit Erfolg haben will und neue Ideen und Projekte verwirklichen möchte, muss Kenntnisse über den Finanzierungs-Mix besitzen. Zudem hat sich der Beruf der Fundraiserinnen und des Fundraisers schon in vielen Organisationen etabliert und bietet somit eine neue Berufschance auch für SozialpädagogInnen. Die aktuelle Wirtschaftslage erfordert ein Umdenken in der Sozialen Arbeit. Viele SozialpädagogInnen sträuben sich nach wie vor, sich mit der sozialökonomischen Neuorientierung zu befassen. Ich halte es für notwendig sich mit dieser Thematik auseinander zusetzen. Daher werde ich im Rahmen dieser Diplomarbeit die Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten für Nonprofit Organisationen darstellen. Ich möchte dem Leser zu Beginn einen Einblick über mögliche Finanzierungsformen der Sozialen Arbeit gewähren, bevor ich die Stellenwerte der einzelnen Finanzierungsformen der Sozialen Arbeit in Deutschland betrachte. Im Anschluss werde ich mich eingehend mit den einzelnen Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten auseinandersetzen. Den Schwerpunkt meiner Diplomarbeit lege ich dabei auf die alternativen Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten, dem so genannten Fundraising. Der Begriff Fundraising wird erläutert und anschließend der aktuelle Fundraising-Markt in Deutschland, mit seiner Bedeutung für die Soziale Arbeit dargestellt. Die Erklärung der einzelnen Finanzierungsformen im Rahmen vom Fundraising, wird auch den Bezug zwischen Theorie und Praxis beinhalten, indem ich die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen einzelner alternativer Finanzierungsformen aufzeige. Die angeführten Praxisbeispiele, sowie die Zusammenfassung werden sich auf Grund meines fachlichen Hintergrundes häufig auf den Bereich der Sozialen Dienste und Hilfen beziehen. Insbeson- re in dem breiten Spektrum wohlfahrtsstaatlicher Leistungen – soziale Dienste, Gesundheitswesen, Bildung, Forschung – wie aber auch bei humanitären A- landseinsätzen, oder aber bei der Katastrophenhilfe haben Nonprofit- Organisationen als gemeinnützige Dienstleister kontinuierlich an Bedeutung gewonnen. Das in der Vergangenheit häufig angeführte Argument, eine spezielle Finanzierungslehre für Nonprofit-Organisationen sei aufgrund ihrer geringen gesellschaftlichen und insbesondere wirtschaftlichen Bedeutung nicht notw- dig, trifft daher auf keinen Fall zu. Doch auch ein zweites Argument, das in der Vergangenheit häufig gegen eine spezifische Beschäftigung mit Fragen der Finanzierung von NPOs angeführt wurde, hat sich als falsch erwiesen. Gemeinnützige Organisationen sichernihre Existenz nämlich nicht primär durch Spendenmittel.

Nach ihrer Definition gehören diejenigen Organisationen zum Dritten Sektor, die formell strukturiert, organisatorisch vom Staat unabhängig und nicht gewinnorientiert sind; die eigenständig verwaltet und zu einem gewissen Grad von freiwilligen Beiträgen getragen werden und keine Zwangsverbände darstellen. Der Zweck einer NPO ist es dem Wohl der Allgemeinheit bzw. Teilen davon zu dienen. Es gibt unterschiedliche Formen von NPOs: Vereine, Verbände, Stiftungen, Genossenschaften. Inhaltlich gibt es innerhalb dieser Organisationen ein großes Spektrum, welches u.a. die Bereiche Soziales, Gesundheit, Kultur, Umwelt, Tierschutz und Sport umfaßt. In Deutschland ist die Dominanz der Wohlfahrtsverbände (Arbeiterwohlfahrt, Caritas, Diakonisches Werk, Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband, Rotes Kreuz) charakteristisch für den Nonprofit-Sektor. Seit den siebziger Jahren sind vor dem Hintergrund der sozialen Bewegung neue, kleinere Vereine entstanden, deren Arbeit Themenbereichen gewidmet waren, die zuvor eher vernachlässigt wurden (z.B. Die Analyse sowie die kritische Beurteilung der Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten von NPOs, zunächst im theoretischen Kontext und anschließend anhand einer bestehenden NPO im sozialen Bereich, stellen das Ziel dieser Arbeit dar. Die Arbeit beginnt mit der Einleitung, welche sich in Problemstellung sowie Ziel und Gang gliedern lässt. Darauffolgend befasst sich das zweite Kapitel mit dem theoretischen Kontext von NPOs und geht somit neben der Begriffsbestimmung und den möglichen Formen insbesondere auf die detaillierte Aufgliederung und Beschreibung der verschiedenen Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten und deren Grenzen ein. Die Finanzierung innerhalb einer bestehenden NPO wird im dritten Kapitel analysiert, wodurch die in Kapitel Zwei aufgeführten theoretischen Grundlagen durch Beispiele aus der Praxis untermauert werden sollen. Book excerpt: This book aims to take stock and systemize existing knowledge on crowdfunding while providing overview of the industry, its regulatory environment and advancing the insight into the role of crowdfunding in the startup lifecycle. It is adopting an exploratory and phenomenon-based approach which is deemed appropriate when investigating rather new phenomena. Furthermore, the research combines survey and interview methodologies to assess the opinion and real-world behavior of different stakeholders in crowdfunding marketplace and identify gaps requiring further academic consideration. Empirical data was gathered using multiple interactive web-based questionnaires distributed to different stakeholders and “informed general public” mainly through the social networks (Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter) and direct solicitation of entrepreneurial associations, networks and online communities. The study conducted relies on both qualitative and quantitative analysis in attempt to find data patterns useful in future research and establish some managerial and policymaker recommendations based on limited evidence collected. The work adds value to this field through a 3-fold contribution: Taking a look at crowdfunding through the prism of SWOT analysis of the practice itself and Porter’s 5 forces analysis of crowdfunding platforms industry. Providing evidence in favor of implementing various degrees of regulation based on different crowdfunding categories, using the Italian case of equity-based crowdfunding regulation as a model. Finally, it yields some interesting findings on relevance of crowdfunding in the venture startup while pointing out key motivators which make entrepreneurs consider this fundraising option. In addition, related policymaker/managerial implications are exposed and academic literature updated with reference to contemporary developments in this dynamic field.
