This book was released on 2018-11-29 with total page 856 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Based on 4 years' worth of understanding, this new edition of Financial Reporting for Unlisted Companies in the UK and the Republic of Ireland details how the standard should be applied in different circumstances. This is conveyed using many real-life examples from practice. The content has also been restructured so it is more in line with the structure of FRS 102. This edition of the title also incorporates the micro-entities regime, which had not been transposed into company law at the time the 1st edition was written. The book has also been revised with the changes brought in through the FRC's Triennial Review which was published in December 2017. The principal amendments to the standard are as follows: - The simplification of the measurement of directors' loans to small entities - A requirement for fewer intangible assets to be separated from goodwill in a business combination - Permit investment property rented to another group entity is to be measured by reference to cost, rather than fair value - There is expansion of the circumstances in which a financial instrument may be measured at amortised cost, rather than fair value - The definition of a financial institution has been simplified. New case law covered includes: - Companies Act 2006 and related SIs - FRS 102 The Financial Reporting Standard Applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland (March 2018) - FRS 105 The Financial Reporting Standard Applicable to the Micro-entities Regime (March 2018)

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "IFRS SYSTEM evolved out of Financial Reporting Specialists' (FRS, www.frsgroup.com.au) need for a superior automated financial reporting tool. In 2004 when FRS were looking for a tool that could assist them to prepare client's financial reports, they were unable to find one that did everything to the high standard required. They solved the problem by internally developing IFRS SYSTEM. Since 2004 IFRS SYSTEM has undergone extensive development and testing and it has been used successfully to prepare interim and annual financial reports for hundreds of clients. IFRS SYSTEM has now evolved into a 'commercially ready' application and in addition to its core financial reporting application, IFRS SYSTEM also offers other software, tools and books. IFRS SYSTEM products were marketed for the first time in 2010 and these products have quickly established themselves in leading accounting and auditing firms as well as large and small companies."--Publisher's website.

Book Synopsis Valuation of Unlisted Direct Investment Equity by : Emmanuel O. Kumah
Download or read book Valuation of Unlisted Direct Investment Equity written by Emmanuel O. Kumah and published by International Monetary Fund. This book was released on 2009-11-01 with total page 75 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This paper analyzes the seven valuation methods for unlisted direct investment equity included in the recently adopted IMF Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual, Sixth Edition (BPM6). Based on publicly available Danish data, we test the three methods that are generally applicable and find that the choice of valuation method and estimation technique can have a highly significant impact on the international investment position, pointing to the need for further harmonization. The results show that the price-to-book value method generates more robust market value estimates than the price-to-earnings method. This finding suggests that the valuation basis for the forthcoming Coordinated Direct Investment Survey - own funds at book value -will provide useful information for compiling the international investment position.

This book was released on 2010-10-01 with total page 201 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Public and private investors want timely, accurate financial information about institutions before investing. This requires adherence to internationally accepted financial disclosure standards. However, implementing these standards is a particular challenge for economies in transition from the Soviet-era central planning approach toward a market economy. The Asian Development Bank provided a technical assistance grant (TA 6505- REG) to build capacity to enhance financial disclosure standards in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. The book is a compendium of the project's findings, activities, results, and recommendations. It discusses the rationale for the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards and the enforcement of International Standards on Auditing by legal entities, and explores their use by small and medium-sized enterprises in the three countries. The book is a valuable guide to accountants, auditors, financial institutions, regulators, investors, governments, researchers, and others interested in financial disclosure practices and progress of these transitional nations.
