Have you ever thought about how this can be accomplished, or what your part may be in God's plan to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world? Evangelism Memos can help give you a better understanding of the importance of being actively involved in personal evangelism and outreach. These practical teachings can also help to give you a deeper understanding of God's love for all of mankind, and to help build a desire with-in your own heart to share God's love with the lost and dying world around you.Evangelism Memos consists of two distinct parts of practical evangelism teachings. Part one of Evangelism Memos is made up of a series of actual emails, which were sent to a group of Christian Church leaders regarding the planning of an evangelism ministry. These emails touch on a broad range of material regarding personal evangelism and God's desire for each of us to be involved in sharing His love with others.Part two of Evangelism Memos, gives us some practical training and insight into how we can share our Christian faith with those around us, by using various evangelism methods, and by establishing evangelism and outreach ministries in our local Church's and communities.

Book excerpt: Evangelism. Approaching this task has been a challenge for God's people both individually and corporately since as long as we can remember and longer. We've tried to examine, evaluate, and consider American culture; adapting to reach it, attempting to develop fresh and creative methods to get our message to make sense to the lost. In doing so, we have placed the culture at the front of our consideration. We ask, "What is our culture like?" and then ask, "How do we reach it?" Are we asking the right questions? Is this task as complicated as we've made it? This book is an urgent call for the Church in America to repent, recover, and renew our priorities in evangelism. The inspiration for this book came from the author's experience and his benefit from the ministry of Evangelist Ray Comfort and The Way of The Master. This book endeavors to discuss something more than a method of sharing our faith (while that is included), but to truly examine the motives, presuppositions, and thinking behind how and why we evangelize the way we do. This is our most substantial resource on Amazon. Questions this book will answer:* What is Intentional Evangelism?* What should form our philosophy or theology of Evangelism?* How has contemporary Evangelism attempted to reach the lost and to what degree are our methods and the language we use biblical and effective? * Is the gospel still central in our evangelism?* What does it mean to be effective?* How do we deal with our fears of sharing our faith?* What specific counsel does Scripture give us for how to share our faith and what does it teach by example?* What does Intentional Evangelism look like practically?* Is street preaching a legitimate means of reaching the lost? * How do we answer the objections from the lost?CHANGES IN THE SECOND EDITION: -New Cover Design-Minor spelling and other corrections-Additional footnotes and sources-Additional material within body of text, expanded paragraphs-Formatting and Structure Changes-Appendix reviewing Bill Hybels and Mark Mittleberg's book, Becoming a Contagious Christian-Appendix on Is it Wrong to Have an Agenda With Unbelievers?-Appendix on Does 2 John v.10-11 prohibit us from witnessing to cults?-Appendix on Event-Based Evangelism-Appendix on 7 Reasons to Share Your Faith at Work-Appendix on Open-Air SpringboardsAbout the author:Joseph came to know Christ as Savior in 2004 after growing up in a non-Christian home and being an atheist for seven years. He lived in North Texas most of his life. He attended Moody Bible Institute, graduating in 2010 with a B.A. in Biblical Exposition and is currently studying at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He serves as the Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries at Milton Baptist Church in Milton, KY. He has led evangelism teams in North Texas and Chicago for outreach on the streets, in local parks, and on college campuses. He has facilitated, taught, and written evangelism curriculum for youth, college students, and adults. He and his wife also served a two-year term in a domestic incarnational missionary program designed to reach the lost through building community. Joseph simply has a heart to build and stabilize a biblical worldview into the hearts and minds of the church alongside a theology of evangelism that isn't driven by popular culture or sentimentalism, but instead intentionally shares the comprehensive gospel message in a loving yet uncompromising way.*All proceeds go to support my wife and I while we're at seminary.

Almost thirty years later the book still provokes discussion as it stimulates both theorists and practitioners to comprehend evangelism as initiation into God's reign. Combining theological insight and historical analysis, Abraham's groundbreaking work remains the primary text to set the stage for how evangelism may be conceived. In these timely essays written by both theologians and church leaders, The Logic of Evangelism Revisited takes a critical and yet appreciative look into the ways Abraham's work still speaks to the church in today's world. The authors, coming from a wide array of backgrounds, show how The Logic of Evangelism remains a key text into the twenty-first century.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Examining the layers of meaning encoded in software and the rhetoric surrounding it, this book offers a much-needed perspective on the intersections between software, morality, and politics. In software development culture, evangelism typically denotes a rhetorical practice that aims to convert software developers, as well as non-technical lay users, from one platform to another (e.g., from the operating system Microsoft Windows to Linux). This book argues that software evangelism, like its religious counterpart, must also be understood as constructing moral and political values that extend well beyond the boundaries of the development culture. Unlike previous studies that locate such values in the effects of code in-use or in certain types of code like free and open source (FOSS) software, Maher argues that all code is meaningful beyond its technical, executable functions. To facilitate this analysis, this study builds a theory of evangelism and illustrates this theory at work in the proprietary software industry and FOSS communities. As an example of political liberalism at work at the level of code, these evangelical rhetorics of software construct competing conceptions of what is good that fall within a shared belief in what is just. Maher illustrates how these beliefs in goodness and justice do not always execute in replicable ways, as the different ways of decoding software evangelisms in the contexts of Brazil and China reveal. Demonstrating how software evangelisms exert a transformative force on the world, one comparable in significance to code itself, this book highlights the importance of rhetoric in even the most seemingly a-rhetorical of technical endeavors and foregrounds the crucial need for rhetorical literacy in the digital age.
