Book excerpt: Do you ever find yourself wondering . . . Is it actually possible to know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that I am going to heaven? If you say that my salvation is "eternally secure" and that I can never lose it, does that mean that I can commit any sin and still go to heaven? How can an understanding of "eternal security" make a difference in my Christian life? With the wisdom and skill of a man who has personally wrestled with these questions, internationally-known pastor and bestselling author Charles Stanley addresses the age-old issue of grace vs. works in this compassionate, straight-forward book. With questions at the end of each chapter, Eternally Secure is an excellent choice for individual or group study. "I know from experience that until you settle once and for all the question of whether or not you are eternally secure, joy will elude you. Therefore, it is my prayer that God will use this book in your life and that in the very near future you will be able to face life with the confidence that comes through knowing you are eternally secure. ?Charles Stanley Previously published in hardcover (0840790953).

John 10:10a NKJV Satan is the god of this world (see 2 Corinthians 4:4 and 1 John 5:19), is the “father of lies” (see John 8:44), and his job description is to “steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” In order to achieve his aims, he most often lies to us and deceives us. Satan often disguises his forces to make them look like natural problems so you’ll fight them with natural weapons. But you cannot fight a spiritual foe with natural weapons but with spiritual weapons, i.e. speaking God’s word to the devil and his demons. Unfortunately satan can disguise himself as an “angel of light,” so it is possible to be deceived by an innocent and apparently correct Christian teaching (see Matthew 24:4, 24:5; Mark 13:5, 13:6; and Luke 21:8). Often these inaccurate or incomplete teachings focus on God’s love and blessings (thus appealing to our flesh and so lead us astray (see Mark 13:22 and 1 Timothy 4:1) and do not mention His greatness, or our need to obey Him and have a reverential fear of Him. This book aims to help reveal satan’s lie and deception strategies and so empower Christians to live the Christian life that God intended. “Great book, interesting and well written based on solid evidence, documented, and not on flights of fancy or fanciful digressions or comforting in a fantastic book where you can find and discover the birth of the religion best known to the world. Through the dialogue structure, the reading is easier even if the terminology is researched and complex. At first glance it may seem pedantic, but you will be fascinated by the events described that so well dot the book.” -- Kalyan Panja , Booktica - Book Reviews

Deception is a process, a road, a path. We need a map, a compass, and a way of knowing the difference between Deception and Truth. But what kind of Truth? Truth that helps us succeed only in this life, or truth that prepares us to live for eternity in a presently invisible System of Reality? Shouldn’t we listen and obey this God who, from the invisible realms, reveals Himself to us through an objective Truth Source called the Bible, & His Son, Jesus, and His Holy Spirit?

This book was released on 2018-08-14 with total page 704 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For over a century, the Danish thinker Søren Kierkegaard (1813–55) has been at the center of a number of important discussions, concerning not only philosophy and theology, but also, more recently, fields such as social thought, psychology, and contemporary aesthetics, especially literary theory. Despite his relatively short life, Kierkegaard was an extraordinarily prolific writer, as attested to by the 26-volume Princeton University Press edition of all of his published writings. But Kierkegaard left behind nearly as much unpublished writing, most of which consists of what are called his “journals and notebooks.” Kierkegaard has long been recognized as one of history’s great journal keepers, but only rather small portions of his journals and notebooks are what we usually understand by the term “diaries.” By far the greater part of Kierkegaard’s journals and notebooks consists of reflections on a myriad of subjects—philosophical, religious, political, personal. Studying his journals and notebooks takes us into his workshop, where we can see his entire universe of thought. We can witness the genesis of his published works, to be sure—but we can also see whole galaxies of concepts, new insights, and fragments, large and small, of partially (or almost entirely) completed but unpublished works. Kierkegaard’s Journals and Notebooks enables us to see the thinker in dialogue with his times and with himself. Kierkegaard wrote his journals in a two-column format, one for his initial entries and the second for the extensive marginal comments that he added later. This edition of the journals reproduces this format, includes several photographs of original manuscript pages, and contains extensive scholarly commentary on the various entries and on the history of the manuscripts being reproduced. Volume 10 of this series includes the final six of Kierkegaard’s important “NB” journals (Journals NB31 through NB36), which cover the last months of 1854, a period when Kierkegaard made the final preparations for and the initial launch of his furious assault on the established church. But in addition to this incendiary material, these journals also contain a great trove of his reflections on theology, philosophy, and the perils and opportunities of modernity.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Comprehensive training and well-established tactics are the trademark qualities of a solid and robust military training program designed to win wars. As a result, well-trained soldiers can think and act soundly while engaged in warfare. Like soldiers, Christians must similarly train to become prepared to make biblically-sound choices while engaged in spiritual warfare—specifically, deception. Deception, as clearly conveyed in the Bible, is Satan’s weapon of choice, therefore, if understood properly, can be thwarted effectively. Defying Deception: A Field Guide to Understanding and Countering Satan's Strategy of Deception is a book for those who want to raise their awareness of the enemy’s strategies and to mature their spiritual walk by offsetting the enemy’s deceptive methods with practical means. That said, this field guide establishes a parallel between Satan’s deceptive tactics and military Psychological Operations (PSYOP), operations to convey false information to influence emotions, motives, and reasoning because both seek to lead people into falsehood to influence decision-making in a destructive way. This field guide discusses Satan’s deceptive strategy within the context of PSYOP. Armed with this information, practical defensive strategies are developed using well-established, effective military tactics to assist readers in overcoming spiritual deception.

Book excerpt: A group of kids from hell come to Earth on one of the craziest nights of the year—Halloween—in this “entertaining, high-octane” (Kirkus Reviews) middle grade adventure about teamwork, friendship, shattering expectations, and understanding the world (or otherworld) around us. Malachi and his friends are just your regular average kids from hell. The suburbs that is, not the fiery pit part. But when Hell’s Bells ring out—signaling that a soul has escaped from one of the eternal circles, Mal and his friends can’t help but take the opportunity for a little adventure. Before they know it, they’ve somehow slipped through the veil and found themselves in the middle of Salem, Massachusetts, on Halloween night. And what’s even worse, they’ve managed to bring the escaped soul with them! As the essence of one of history’s greatest manipulators gains power by shifting the balance on Earth, Mal and his squad-mates—along with some new friends that they meet along the way—work desperately to trap the escapee, save the people of Earth from the forces of evil, and find the portal back to their own dimension. If they can’t manage it before their parents realize they’re gone, they’ll be grounded for an eternity. And an eternity in hell is a very, very long time.
