Transcorridos os primeiros anos de vigência da lei, a Universidade de São Paulo, a Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais e a Universidade Estadual de Londrina reuniram-se em congresso para discussão dos avanços obtidos, desafios a serem enfrentados e obstáculos a serem ultrapassados. Como forma de consolidação desse diálogo entre as universidades, os expositores – professores e alunos de pós-graduação e graduação – elaboraram textos relativos ao Estatuto da Pessoa com Deficiência, com destaque para temas como a capacidade de agir, tomada de decisão apoiada, convivência familiar e comunitária, casamento, educação e responsabilidade civil.

The right to access the same digital content at the same time and at the same cost as people without disabilities is implicit in several human rights instruments and is featured prominently in Articles 9 and 21 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
