Download or read book Trois essais pour une économie politique du 21e siècle written by Arno Tausch and published by Editions L'Harmattan. This book was released on 2011 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book La nouvelle économie et la mort de l'homme written by Justin Marie Foe Zibi II and published by Editions L'Harmattan. This book was released on 2020 with total page 279 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Academy is an institution for the study and teaching of public and private international law and related subjects. Its purpose is to encourage a thorough and impartial examination of the problems arising from international relations in the field of law. The courses deal with the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject, including legislation and case law. All courses at the Academy are, in principle, published in the language in which they were delivered in the "Collected Courses of the" "Hague Academy of International Law." The number of national laws that protect competition against private restrictions are constantly increasing. Their application to trans-boundary situations poses difficult problems for both private international law and public international law. The course deals with both, either with respect to application of the "lex fori" or with respect to application of foreign laws. - Enforcement in the International Context by K.D. KERAMEUS, Professor at the University of Athens. In recent years, enforcement proceedings have gone through a comprehensive reform in many countries. Furthermore, modern enforcement increasingly relies on foreign judgements. The course focuses on three subjects: the comparative element in recent codifications and case-law developments in the area of enforcement: salient and converging trends in the enforcement of foreign judgments on the basis of domestic law or international conventions: and the delimitation of "lex fori"and foreign law during the enforcement proceedings. Book Synopsis Post-Western Sociology - From China to Europe by : Laurence Roulleau-Berger
Download or read book Post-Western Sociology - From China to Europe written by Laurence Roulleau-Berger and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-05-15 with total page 330 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is rooted in an epistemological approach to sociology in which the boundaries between Western and non-Western sociologies are acknowledged and built on. It argues that knowledge is organised in conceptual spaces linked to paradigms and programmes which in turn are linked to ethnocentred knowledge processes; that until recently Western approaches, including Post-Colonial, French Social Science and American approaches, have dominated non-Western theories; and that Western theories have sometimes seemed incapable of explaining phenomena produced in other societies. It goes on to argue that the blurring of boundaries between Western and non-Western sociologies is very important; and that such a Post-Western approach will mean co-production and co-construction of common knowledge, the recognition of ignored or forgotten scientific cultures and a "global change" in sociology which imposes theoretical and methodological detours, displacements, reversals and conversions. The book brings together a wide range of Western and Chinese sociologists who explore the consequences of this new approach in relation to many different issues and aspects of sociology.

Book Synopsis The Social Sciences of Quantification by : Isabelle Bruno
Download or read book The Social Sciences of Quantification written by Isabelle Bruno and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-09-29 with total page 204 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book details how quantification can serve both as evidence and as an instrument of government, whether when dealing with statistics on employment, occupational health and economic governance, or when developing public management or target-driven policies. In the process, it presents a thought-provoking homage to Alain Desrosières, who pioneered ways to study large numbers and the politics underlying them. It opens with a summary of Desrosières's contributions to the field in which several generations of researchers detail how this statistician and historian profoundly influenced them. This tribute, based on personal testimonies, bears witness to the vitality of the school of thought and analytical framework Desrosières initiated. Next, a collection of essays explores the statistical argument in the neoliberal era, examining issues such as counting the homeless in Europe, measuring the performance of public services, and quantifying the effects of public action on the unemployed in France. The third part details the uses of quantification. It reveals that although statistics are frequently used to the advantage of those in power, they can also play a vital role in challenging and resisting both the conventions underlying the measurements as well as the measurements themselves.Featuring the work of economists, historians, political scientists, sociologists, and statisticians, this title provides readers with a thoughtful look at an influential figure in the history of statistics. It also shows how statistics are used to direct public policy, the degree of conflict that is possible in their production, and the disputes that can develop around their uses.

Book Synopsis Strategic Intelligence for the Future 1 by : Henri Dou
Download or read book Strategic Intelligence for the Future 1 written by Henri Dou and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2019-04-10 with total page 147 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Information in all its forms is at the heart of the economic intelligence process. It is also a powerful vector of innovation and, more than ever, a balance between economic and societal forces. Strategic Intelligence for the Future 1 analyzes the need for the French economic intelligence to mutate in order to develop the economy, strengthen social cohesion and protect vital interests. This mutation requires a change of attitudes and a new way of thinking, widely open to global change and new technologies. The focus of the French economic intelligence on conventional objectives such as business and the economy does not allow for the integration of its multiple possible fields and thus its global nature. The strategy, foresight and temporal dynamics necessary to the understanding of the world, and the new balance of power and control of complex situations, have thus increased the time needed to put this in place. Both theoretical and practical, this book provides a basis from which to develop "enhanced economic intelligence" leading to the implementation of global security.

This book was released on 2020-04-06 with total page 657 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book brings together papers presented at the 3rd Conference of Research in Economics and Management (CIREG) held in Morocco in May 2016. With a focus on the challenges of SMEs and innovative solutions, they highlight the contribution of researchers in the fields of business and management, with all their micro and macro-economic aspects. They shed light on the universal scientific vision of the importance of SMEs with answers relevant to their local context and adapted to their specific national situation. The relevance of SME research lies in its heuristic value of analyzing change, rather than in constructing a category, a particularly useful empirical concept. This third volume is focused on marketing and human resources.
