Assim, nos dias 10 e 11 de novembro de 2016 ocorreu o I Congresso Brasileiro da Academia Nacional de Estudos Transnacionais (CBANET) onde os autores dos textos aqui publicados puderam apresentar seus trabalhos e discutir nos Grupos de Trabalho (GTs) suas propostas e resultados de pesquisa nos campos do Direito Internacional e das Relações Internacionais. A cidade de Belo Horizonte foi escolhida para recepção dos membros administrativos, dos associados ordinários e demais participantes do primeiro evento desta natureza promovido pela a ANET. Os artigos científicos aqui expostos estão divididos em três partes, a saber: Fronteiras e desafios do Direito Internacional dos Direitos Humanos, do Direito Internacional Humanitário e da Jurisdição Internacional às violações de direitos humanos; Relações comerciais e econômicas na agenda internacional; e Políticas sustentáveis no espaço global e os diálogos transnacionais para proteção socioambiental. Estas seções correspondem à organização dos Grupos de Trabalhos e aos debates enfrentados por professores e estudantes de graduação e de pós-graduação, naquele instante.
