Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume presents the lectures given during the second French-Uzbek Colloquium on Algebra and Operator Theory which took place in Tashkent in 1997, at the Mathematical Institute of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences. Among the algebraic topics discussed here are deformation of Lie algebras, cohomology theory, the algebraic variety of the laws of Lie algebras, Euler equations on Lie algebras, Leibniz algebras, and real K-theory. Some contributions have a geometrical aspect, such as supermanifolds. The papers on operator theory deal with the study of certain types of operator algebras. This volume also contains a detailed introduction to the theory of quantum groups. Audience: This book is intended for graduate students specialising in algebra, differential geometry, operator theory, and theoretical physics, and for researchers in mathematics and theoretical physics.
Book Synopsis Primera álgebra de magnitudes by : J. M. ARNAIZ
Download or read book Primera álgebra de magnitudes written by J. M. ARNAIZ and published by Ediciones Go Beyond. This book was released on 2017-08-19 with total page 500 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. The equations of Physics do not simply relate numbers, vectors or tensors of a mathematical nature, but rather dyadic quantities formed with these components linked to various units that indicate quantities of natural magnitudes. So, why do we operate with the dyadic entities of Physics as if they were pure mathematical elements? Doesn't this fiction suppose an aberration that debases all scientific knowledge? Some authors have warned of this critical gap, which hides such a fundamental pillar from Physics. Pre-eminent physicists such as Clerk Maxwell or Max Planck, among other classics, can be cited. All of them expressed in their own way the scruples aroused by the traditional and unjustified way of operating with physical quantities and their units. Here such a remarkable «arithmeticization» paradox of Physics is discovered, described and solved and a rigorous and coherent algebra is constructed for the quantities of magnitudes. The First Algebra of Magnitudes resolves the false hypothesis of the International System of Units, consisting of negligently assuming that physical magnitudes have a multiplicative abelian group structure. It cannot be like that, as demonstrated in this work. Finally, the logical and unappealable path that leads from the algebra of magnitudes to the «dysmetric» spaces is revealed, which are studied in greater depth in the second volume of this work. «Dysmetry» is a powerful new tool for accurately representing the physical phenomena of a variable universe. This new Physics welcomes a multitude of innovations, which will undoubtedly be appreciated by many enterprising researchers.
Book Synopsis Air Pollution XXIV by : J.W.S. Longhurst
Download or read book Air Pollution XXIV written by J.W.S. Longhurst and published by WIT Press. This book was released on 2016-07-14 with total page 281 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In these proceedings of the 24th International Conference on Modelling, Monitoring and Management of Air Pollution, international academics and air pollution practitioners contribute to the evolving understanding of the science and policy contexts of air pollution. All the books from the conference series have discussed important air pollution issues at an international, national and local level and by virtue of their truly international composition have brought to the discussion a unique suite of perspectives. The conference findings enjoy a wide and rapid dissemination amongst the air pollution science and policy communities. The management of air pollution is one of the most challenging problems facing the international community. A particular strength of the series has been the attention given to regulatory and market solutions to air pollution management. The Air Pollution series of conferences has consistently acknowledged that science remains the key to identifying the nature and scale of air pollution impacts and reaffirmed that science is essential in the formulation of policy relevant information for regulatory decision making. The conference series also acknowledged, at a very early stage, that science alone will not improve a polluted atmosphere. The scientific knowledge derived from well-designed studies needs to be allied with further technical and economic studies in order to ensure cost effective and efficient mitigation. In turn, the science, technology and economic outcomes are necessary but not sufficient. Topics covered include: Air pollution modelling; Air pollution mitigation and management; Aerosols and particles; Emission studies; Health effects; Indoor air pollution; Air data quality; Monitoring and measuring; Case studies; Air pollution control technologies; Industrial air pollution; Air pollution science; Global and regional studies; Climate change effects; GIS & remote sensing applications; Emerging pollutants; Socio economic issues; Public engagement; Policy and legislation.

Book Synopsis Mathematical principles of everything by : J. M. ARNAIZ
Download or read book Mathematical principles of everything written by J. M. ARNAIZ and published by Ediciones Go Beyond. This book was released on with total page 396 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: E-mail: [email protected] Physics is diminished by a simulated algebra that does not take into account the essential difference between quantities of magnitudes and abstract numbers. We have called this nineteenth-century fiction «arithmetization» of Physics and in short it consists of frivolously admitting that the symbols of physical units can be operated as if they were simple numerical elements, imposing a merely symbolic algebra that produces numerous unconscious errors and makes Physics is a disabled science, which ignores the peculiarity of the generative external laws of composition, specific to physical magnitudes, foreign to common algebraic structures. To rescue our minds from that lethargy, we embark here on a journey that is not for the lazy, conceited or well-off. Freeing Physics from its arithmetic prison is a great collective task that requires honesty, sacrifice, humility and commitment from everyone. First we have to go down to the hell of the fundamentals, going back to review the most basic, what we believed to be outdated and obvious, what seems to be known by everyone, to find out to our astonishment that none of us understand it. Only thus is it possible to observe how the treacherous «arithmetization» has intoxicated our minds. Afterwards we will be able to free ourselves from the invisible chains that prevent us from appreciating what the magnitudes and the operations with their quantities really are, starting the flight towards the true understanding of physical phenomena. Through dyadic forms, this absurd trap of arithmetic simplification to operate with magnitudes is dismantled, and the veil that hides a fascinating physical reality is lifted, emerging «dysmetry» and its two impressive main physical-mathematical truths: first, the properties of empty space, which is not presented as inert but as an active entity that produces physical effects by itself, characterized by «dysmetric» tensors; and second, the immortal law of differential dyadic variation, which proves the original fact that what is natural is «dysmetry». At that point we will feel great satisfaction at having discovered an pernicious gap in our knowledge, and it will seem incredible and shameful to have proceeded mechanically without thinking about the lack of foundation of our physical formulations. We will not be able to resist recycling and updating all our most basic and fundamental knowledge so that with a little study we can stop being unconscious, which will be the best decision we can make.
