Es de esta forma que cambia su imagen; una película no es un simple elemento abstracto, ya que depende de elementos complejos para su realización, sin los cuales no sería posible la consolidación de esta industria y su evolución gracias al creciente desarrollo de recursos económicos, técnicos y humanos. Es por esto importante para nosotros como docentes, apropiarnos del cine como una herramienta pedagógica y didáctica que nos permita fomentar un punto de vista crítico y objetivo frente a situaciones que se nos presenten; para poder analizarlas y ubicarlas en nuestro contexto con fines didácticos y de interés en un tema vital en nuestros días: tratar la imagen y en el caso específico lo que se muestra en el cine. La metodología del cine foro para promover las competencias ciudadanas se realizó para destacar la importancia de esta área de aprendizaje dentro del currículo, ya que ésta se ha ido perdiendo debido a las estrategias didácticas empleadas por los docentes que generan cada vez menos interés en los estudiantes; es por esto que tomamos del cine la proyección de películas como una herramienta didáctica que nos permita acceder a diferentes situaciones y contextos para realizar una reflexión crítica y asumir una posición frente a estos. El objetivo principal de este proyecto fue identificar y acercar a los estudiantes a determinados tipos de competencias ciudadanas a través de la proyección de películas y por medio de la realización de talleres; mediante los cuales se pretende generar en los niños y niñas una conciencia de apropiación de habilidades y actitudes que contribuyan al mejoramiento de la convivencia en la sociedad.
