Aus dieser Funktion ergibt sich das Idealbild eines Mitarbeiters, „der jeden Tag gut gelaunt am Arbeitsplatz erscheint und mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht allen Stress positiv empfindet – [A]uch wenn der Computer ständig abstürzt, Kunden und der Chef meckern, schließt er oder sie abends heiter die Tür und freut sich auf morgen.“ 1 In der Realität sieht es aber meist anders aus: Der Alltag vieler Berufstätiger wird bestimmt durch Frustration, Überforderung, Überarbeitung aber auch durch Unterbezahlung und Unterforderung. Diese Faktoren führen zu einer kontinuierlich sinkenden Arbeitsmoral und einer nachlassenden Bereitschaft Leistung zu erbringen.2 Der französische Dichter Saint Exupéry schrieb: „Wer ein Schiff bauen will, sollte seinen Leuten nicht Hammer und Nägel geben, sondern [in] ihnen die Sehnsucht nach dem weiten, endlosen Meer wecken“.3 Damit beschreibt er das – vor allem in deutschen Unternehmen oft vernachlässigte – „Grundgesetz der Motivation“. Für den Bereich der Perso-nalführung und -entwicklung heißt das also: Nicht nur die Qualifikation (Hammer, Nägel) ist für die Arbeitsbereitschaft eines Menschen entscheidend, sondern auch die Zielsetzung des eigenen Handelns. Durch Qualifikation, kann Leistung erbracht werden, aber erst durch die Zielsetzung entsteht der Wille Leistung zu erbringen.4 Täglich erleben wir, dass gerade hoch-qualifizierte Mitarbeiter eine wesentlich geringere Arbeitsbereitschaft zeigen, da sie in ihrem vorgeschriebenen Aufgabenbereich zu sehr eingeschränkt sind und dadurch nicht alle Möglichkeiten ihrer Qualifikation ausschöpfen können. Ist die Perspektive etwas Überragendes leisten zu können nicht gegeben, sinkt die Motivation. Die folgende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Bereich der Motivationstheorien. Im Vordergrund der Untersuchungen stehen die zentralen Ansichten darüber, wie Motivation ausgelöst wird und welche Faktoren dafür entscheidend sind. Vier der bedeutendsten Theorien sollen vorgestellt und hinsichtlich ihrer Anwendbarkeit im Berufsalltag betrachtet werden.

Eine einzige, allgemein gültige Motivationstheorie, mit der erklärt wird, wie menschliches Verhalten im Betrieb zustande kommt, gibt es jedoch nicht. Doch im Zuge der Globalisierung und des immer schärfer werdenden Wettbewerbs, suchen immer mehr Unternehmen nach einer Möglichkeit die Produktivität zu steigern. Ziel der Hausarbeit ist es, die Inhaltstheorien von Maslow, McGregor und Herzberg ausführlich darzustellen, denn ihre Kenntnis ist eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für den Umgang mit Mitarbeitern.

Zur Vorlesung gehört ein umfangreicher Exkurs, in dem Husserl durch eine phänomenologische Analyse des Unterschieds zwischen Sach- und Normbegriffen den wissenschaftstheoretischen Charakter der Ethik als normativer Geisteswissenschaft bestimmt.

Within literary studies, narratology is a highly developed field.
