Damit ist die unumgängliche Widersprüchlichkeit gemeint, die entsteht, wenn der Frage nachgegangen wird, ob im Rahmen von interkultureller Kompetenz kulturelle Unterschiede betont oder im Sinne einer universellen Haltung ausgeblendet werden sollen.

Dies hat der Verfasser unter Verwendung und Zusammenfuhrung aktueller Literatur zu seiner primaren Forschungsfrage erhoben. Seine These lautet, dass die Verinnerlichung des systemischen Ansatzes eine besondere Form der Selbstreflexion ermoglicht, die im Ergebnis zu einer Verflussigung kultureller Stereotype fuhren kann. Dies halt der Autor fur eine notwendige Praxis, da die systemische Denkweise vom Berater die Anerkennung multipler Unterscheidungskriterien des Klienten einfordert. Ein nationaler oder ethnisch kultureller Faktor sollte demnach nur eine Facette unter vielen sein. Diese Hypothese des Autors wirft die Frage auf, ob dieser kulturelle Einfluss in Beratungen vor anderen Faktoren zu priorisieren ist. Der Verfasser dieser Masterthesis ist seit 17 Jahren als Personalberater und Coach in unterschiedlichen Kontexten tatig und hat dadurch einen personlichen Bezug zu dem Thema der Thesis. Etwa die Halfte seiner Klienten hat einen Migrationshintergrund. Im Expatriate-Consulting arbeitet der Autor seit mehreren Jahren mit Klienten aus dem Ausland zusammen und unterstutzt sie bei ihrer beruflichen und privaten Integration in Deutschland. Nationale und ethnische Faktoren des Migrationshintergrundes sind fur den Autor allerdings nicht der Ausgangspunkt und der Fokus seiner Arbeit. Es sind die unterschiedlichsten kulturellen Dynamiken und einzig-artige Kontexte, die generell den Bezugsrahmen seiner Klienten konstituieren und sich in jedem einzelnen Lebenslauf seiner Klienten offenbaren.
