Copenhagen, 1967; lives and works in Berlin and Copenhagen) is a visual artist whose critically acclaimed solo shows have appeared in major museums around the world since 1997. In his studio, established in 1995, Eliasson works with a team of craftsmen, architects, geometers, and art historians; as a professor at the Berlin University of the Arts, he has run the Institut fur Raumexperimente (Institute for Spatial Experiments), an innovative model for art education, since April 2009. Eliasson's practice is characterised by incessant exploration of our modes of perceiving. His works, described by the artist as "experiemental setups," span photography, installation, sculpture, film, major projects in public space, and architectural works. His oeuvre often bridges art and science. Exploring human perception, Eliasson has conceived iconic works that invite the viewer to engage with their surroundings, a process the artist has described as "seeing yourself sensing." The book is published on occasion of the exhibition at the Monchehaus Museum and the awarding of the Kaiserring of the city of Goslar.

One powerful attempt to meet this challenge can be found in the application of cross-company management accounting approaches in order to execute performance control. However, implementation of suitable mechanisms and execution of control activities across company boundaries – commonly executed by both partners – is often insufficient because actual improvement potentials are not identified correctly. Embedded in a contingency-based research framework, the author combines several statistical methods to empirically analyze causal relationships between performance and contingent performance-determinants. Resulting in a control process-oriented guideline, findings support companies in the design and use of performance control systems in buyer-supplier relationships and open the field for further research.
