This book was released on 2018 with total page 14 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Gaussian affine interest rate models are widely used in the financial industry for pricing, hedging and also risk management purposes. We consider the multifactor models with time dependent parameters. Usually the models are simulated using some appropriate discretization schema because the joint distribution of the stochastic and discounting factors is not known. We derive the exact joint conditional distribution of the stochastic and discounting factors. Additionally we show how an efficient and exact Monte Carlo simulation of the Hull White and G2++ interest rates models could be performed.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Abstract. This paper describes how an efficient and exact Monte-Carlo simulation of the Hull-White model could be performed. For that purpose the joint conditional distribution of the short interest rate and the discount factor is derived. The proposed approach can be straightforward extended to the multifactor Gaussian affine term structure models.
Book Synopsis Interest Rate Models Theory and Practice by : Damiano Brigo
Download or read book Interest Rate Models Theory and Practice written by Damiano Brigo and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-04-17 with total page 544 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 2nd edition of this successful book has several new features. The calibration discussion of the basic LIBOR market model has been enriched considerably, with an analysis of the impact of the swaptions interpolation technique and of the exogenous instantaneous correlation on the calibration outputs. A discussion of historical estimation of the instantaneous correlation matrix and of rank reduction has been added, and a LIBOR-model consistent swaption-volatility interpolation technique has been introduced. The old sections devoted to the smile issue in the LIBOR market model have been enlarged into a new chapter. New sections on local-volatility dynamics, and on stochastic volatility models have been added, with a thorough treatment of the recently developed uncertain-volatility approach. Examples of calibrations to real market data are now considered. The fast-growing interest for hybrid products has led to a new chapter. A special focus here is devoted to the pricing of inflation-linked derivatives. The three final new chapters of this second edition are devoted to credit. Since Credit Derivatives are increasingly fundamental, and since in the reduced-form modeling framework much of the technique involved is analogous to interest-rate modeling, Credit Derivatives -- mostly Credit Default Swaps (CDS), CDS Options and Constant Maturity CDS - are discussed, building on the basic short rate-models and market models introduced earlier for the default-free market. Counterparty risk in interest rate payoff valuation is also considered, motivated by the recent Basel II framework developments.

Book Synopsis The Affine Heston Model with Correlated Gaussian Interest Rates for Pricing Hybrid Derivatives by : Lech A. Grzelak

This book was released on 2014 with total page 23 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this article we define a multi-factor equity-interest rate hybrid model with non-zero correlation between the stock and interest rate. The equity part is modeled by the Heston model [Heston-1993] and we use a Gaussian multi-factor short rate process [Brigo,Mercurio-2007; Hull-2006]. By construction, the model fits in the framework of affine diffusion processes [Duffie, et al.-2000] allowing fast calibration to plain vanilla options. We also provide an efficient Monte Carlo simulation scheme and investigate hedging in the presence of non-zero correlation between the processes from different asset classes.

Book Synopsis Interest Rate Models by : Andrew J. G. Cairns
Download or read book Interest Rate Models written by Andrew J. G. Cairns and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2018-06-05 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The field of financial mathematics has developed tremendously over the past thirty years, and the underlying models that have taken shape in interest rate markets and bond markets, being much richer in structure than equity-derivative models, are particularly fascinating and complex. This book introduces the tools required for the arbitrage-free modelling of the dynamics of these markets. Andrew Cairns addresses not only seminal works but also modern developments. Refreshingly broad in scope, covering numerical methods, credit risk, and descriptive models, and with an approachable sequence of opening chapters, Interest Rate Models will make readers--be they graduate students, academics, or practitioners--confident enough to develop their own interest rate models or to price nonstandard derivatives using existing models. The mathematical chapters begin with the simple binomial model that introduces many core ideas. But the main chapters work their way systematically through all of the main developments in continuous-time interest rate modelling. The book describes fully the broad range of approaches to interest rate modelling: short-rate models, no-arbitrage models, the Heath-Jarrow-Morton framework, multifactor models, forward measures, positive-interest models, and market models. Later chapters cover some related topics, including numerical methods, credit risk, and model calibration. Significantly, the book develops the martingale approach to bond pricing in detail, concentrating on risk-neutral pricing, before later exploring recent advances in interest rate modelling where different pricing measures are important.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers a new approach to interest rate and modeling term structure by using models based on optimization of dynamical systems, rather than the traditional stochastic differential equation models. The authors use dynamic models to estimate the term structure of interest rates and show the reader how to build their own numerical simulations. It includes software that will enable readers to simulate the various models covered in the book.
Book Synopsis Term-Structure Models by : Damir Filipovic
Download or read book Term-Structure Models written by Damir Filipovic and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2009-07-28 with total page 259 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Changing interest rates constitute one of the major risk sources for banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions. Modeling the term-structure movements of interest rates is a challenging task. This volume gives an introduction to the mathematics of term-structure models in continuous time. It includes practical aspects for fixed-income markets such as day-count conventions, duration of coupon-paying bonds and yield curve construction; arbitrage theory; short-rate models; the Heath-Jarrow-Morton methodology; consistent term-structure parametrizations; affine diffusion processes and option pricing with Fourier transform; LIBOR market models; and credit risk. The focus is on a mathematically straightforward but rigorous development of the theory. Students, researchers and practitioners will find this volume very useful. Each chapter ends with a set of exercises, that provides source for homework and exam questions. Readers are expected to be familiar with elementary Itô calculus, basic probability theory, and real and complex analysis.
