Book excerpt: Just for a moment, imagine yourself to be the ace archer Arjuna who upon seeing his kin, Gurus and the estimable Bhishma, slumps to the ground in the gargantuan battlefield of Kurukshetra where the blood-thirsty Kauravas were prepared to go to war to retain the precious trophy of Hastinapur. At that crucial juncture Lord Krishna, Arjuna’s charioteer, decodes the majesty of Universe by revealing the secret of his SOHUM swarupe and defogs the mind of his beloved sakha, Arjuna. Soon the fabled marksman is battled-ready to combat his cousins, having been rescued from a life of ignominy. SOHUM is the syllable of the unique rhythmic breathing technique of Sudarshan Kriya, which has transfigured the lives of millions of people across the globe. Divine Whispers, similar to the grandiose revelation by Lord Krishna, are pearls of wisdom uttered by H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. This book is a collation of 365 quotes of the spiritual Master (one quote for every day of the year) on a variety of subjects that confront us in our daily lives. By dwelling on these quotes the reader can elevate his consciousness and metamorphose into a spiritual being, still and silent from within. As we move into the new decade, these 365 quotes will suffuse us with energy to become productive individuals, build powerful societies and nations. Humans can develop a necklace of One World Family and live harmoniously by eschewing avarice and violence. Jai GuruDev Victory to the Big Mind.

The reader will be taken aback reading the sheer size and scale of Soma yajna, described step by step, in great detail. Hinduism’s journey to the Age of Reason, the Upanishads, its encounter with Buddhism, and its transformation into idol worshipping society with many gods and a multitude of stories about its millions of gods is lucidly explained. Puranas, what they contain and what was the reason they were created, has been described and explained next. Witnessing the devastation of 9/11 before his eyes and narrowly escaping death, Kushal's life was never going to be the same again. Suddenly, all his pursuits felt meaningless and he felt a void within him like he had never felt before-until one day, when he reluctantly decided to spend an afternoon with a spiritual master in New York City. From being a Wall Street trader immersed in the material world to embarking on a quest to find answers to life's biggest questions, Kushal Choksi writes about his doubts, struggles and revelations on a spiritual path as a left-brained sceptic. On a Wing and a Prayer is one such (true) account of one man finding himself on a fifteen-year long journey shadowing the spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “It is a man’s own mind, not his enemy or foe that lures him to evil ways,” observed Gautama Buddha. The Infinite Mind is a work on exploring the different facets and the contours of the human mind. The majesty of the human mind lies in its astonishing latent powers. Humans have set footprints on the moon, attempted to explore the universe and human body since ages but are yet to fathom the mind. During their short time on earth, the average human neglects to understand or explore the mind. Yet right from childhood humans use the mind, everyday, till death. The mind is a tool; one should learn about it, sharpen it and then see the phenomenal results that follow in the shortest possible time. The first step could be a SWOT analysis of the human mind, which can bring in greater harmony with nature and the universe. If the mind is trained in the right direction, life will automatically gravitate to happiness and healthy thoughts persist. The human mind can act as a positive or negative trigger. The question is “How to touch the mind? Sharpen it?” Yes, it can be done. In this book, there are techniques discussed to strengthen the mind and break the fears or barriers. Miracles happen when thoughts manifest in life through the mind. Invest attention in the mind and feel the genie experience. Humans often experience something magical, something that is unexplainable. How does it happen? What is the X-factor that metamorphoses the thought process in the mind? This book is an attempt to provide answers in this direction. “Like very muddy water, which is clearly water again when the mud is removed, one’s true self shines forth again when the contamination (ignorance) is removed.”- Adi Shankaracharya.

This book was released on 2008-10-17 with total page 764 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Where are Judges or Judgments with human conscious and high moral when about half of Iraqi population vanished since recent war against Iraq including millions children of Iraq for illegal sanction? Which means there is no justice for those who do not have WMD to attack or to defend own land or dollars or pounds to bribe or to buy few real Judges or Judgment with human conscious or moral. And without money you cannot buy a Judgment. Illegal Governors of present illegal Muslim or Arab client States are also responsible to host most powerful countries on earth with their army, air force and navy with deadly WMD in Muslim land, sea and air to invade Muslim land like Iraq and Afghanistan or to threaten Iran. There were no independent states like Iraq before First World War since those present illegal client States became part of Caliphate/Khilafah 1400 years ago. World Muslims never accepted those illegal Muslim or Arab client States which were created after First European War known as First World War. A policy of attacking the idea of the Caliphate by linking it with the political violence of the jihadi movement cannot eliminate its Koranic authority. The Islamic world may not totally agree with the armed method of the jihadi movement, but the Caliphate s linkage with the Koran is not in dispute. The political and non-violent aspect of the Islamic movement, considered the godfather of reviving the Caliphate idea, has deeper and wider appeal. An attack on the Caliphate is in effect considered an attack against Islam.[i] Readers also must judge on following fact prior to World War as Desert storm in 1991 and subsequent sanction against Iraq which killed millions children was wrong and it was internal matter of destroyed Caliphate. What about genocide in Iraq since 2003 for which half of Iraqi population are gone? What about millions killed in Indonesia after Sukarno was ousted? What about coup in Iran in 1953 which ousted democratic elected Prime Minister of Iran? What about genocide in Bangladesh in 19171 by same Pakistanis Army who is now doing same genocide in Northern Pakistan at this moment? And yet in another recent book 'THE SECRET HISTORY OF SADDAM'S WAR UNHOLY BABYLON BY ADEL DARWISH AND GREGORY ALEXANDER' published by Victor Gollancz Ltd, London, it is mentioned in pg. 3-4 that 'Britain had recognized Kuwait's independence on 19th June 1961, abrogating an agreement signed in 1899 which had made the emirate a British protectorate-..... the 1899 Anglo-Kuwait agreement signed by the former Sheikh of Kuwait for 15,000 Indian rupees from the British commissioner in Abadan.., in pg. 6 it is mentioned 'Britain proceeded to establish posts and naval bases along the trade route to India via the Suez Canal, which was opened in 1866, and also signed exclusive agreements with Arab rulers throughout the Gulf. The first was with Bahrain in 1880, prohibiting the sheikhdom from making any treaties or agreements with any state other than Britain or establishing diplomatic relations with other countries without British consent. "there have been 7,000 madrassas built ... and that's where bin Laden lives and we will go at him if we have actually (sic) intelligence."Seven thousand? Where on earth does this figure come from? It's an odd situation. Obama and Biden want to close down Iraq and re-conquer Afghanistan. The Palin College of Clich s characterised this as "a white flag of surrender in Iraq" while continuing to warn of the dangers of Iran, the name of whose loony president Ahmadinejad defeated McCain three times in last week's pseudo-debate.But it's the same old story. All we have learned in America these past two weeks, to quote Joan Littlewood's Oh! What a Lovely War, is that the war goes on.

Book excerpt: "Mysticism, magic and alchemy all come into play in the creative process. For centuries musicians have tapped into things spiritual, embracing ritual, spell, incantation and prayer deeply into their life and work. Although the connection of music to mysticism has been consistent, well documented and productive, it is still shrouded in mystery and largely misunderstood. For this special edition, Aracana focuses on the nexus of mysticism and spirituality in the magical act of making music. Far from an historical overview or cold musicologist's study, these essays illuminate a fascinating and elusive subject via the eloquent voices of today's most distinguished modern practitioners and greatest adult thinkers, providing insights into the esoteric traditions and mysteries involved in the composition and performance of the most mystical of all arts."--Book cover.
