El servicio incluirá toda la plataforma de gestión de tráfico IP y su operación integra por parte del operador El proyecto se enmarca temporalmente en el periodo 2005-2007 y tiene como principal objetivo la puesta en marcha de servicios y despliegue de infraestructura de redes para permitir que Internet se implante de manera paulatina en la vida cotidiana de los tres millones de ciudadanos que residían en 1.500 municipios rurales de toda España todavía si cobertura. Dada la naturaleza del proyecto, centrado en entornos rurales, no era factible ofrecer tecnologías de acceso terrestres convencionales (línea de abonado digital) y por tanto, fue imprescindible y nuclear en nuestra solución, recurrir a un conjunto de tecnologías de acceso radioeléctrico tanto terrestres como satelitales. El objetivo final del proyecto era proporcionar y gestionar la plataforma tecnológica para facilitar el acceso a dos servicios diferenciados: acceso a Internet de carácter universal y acceso a las Intranets propias de la entidad solicitante; así como la instalación, gestión y mantenimiento de toda la infraestructura propuesta por parte del proveedor.
