Book excerpt: What are you looking for? You’ve stumbled across this book and find yourself compelled to read the back of it. I’m not a famous author, wealthy business, or even a college graduate. Yet you hold in your hands a book written by a person that would be considered by popular opinion illiterate, dumb, and broke. What can I possible offer to you? Within these pages proves that anything can be accomplished. I proved to myself that I could bring this book into existence. If I can do this, what can you do? This book isn’t a literary masterpiece so don’t expect that. If all you do is read the back of this book, then I truly appreciate your time in that alone.

Download or read book The Motivation Manifesto written by Brendon Burchard and published by Hay House, Inc. This book was released on 2014-10-28 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Motivation Manifesto is a poetic and powerful call to reclaim your life and find your own personal freedom from Brendon Burchard – the world’s #1 high performance coach and #1 New York Times bestselling author of High Performance Habits. “It’s a triumphant work that transcends the title, lifting the reader from mere motivation into a soaringly purposeful and meaningful life. I love this book." —Paulo Coelho The Motivation Manifesto is a call to claim our personal power. World-renowned high performance trainer Brendon Burchard reveals that the main motive of humankind is the pursuit of greater Personal Freedom. We desire the grand liberties of choice—time freedom, emotional freedom, social freedom, financial freedom, spiritual freedom. Only two enemies stand in our way: an external enemy, defined as the social oppression of who we are by the mediocre masses, and an internal enemy, a sort of self-oppression caused by our own doubt and fear. The march to Personal Freedom, Brendon says, can be won only by declaring our intent and independence, stepping into our personal power, and battling through self-doubt and the distractions of the day until full victory is won. Recalling the revolutionist voices of the past that chose freedom over tyranny, Brendon motivates us to free ourselves from fear and take back our lives once and for all. In this life-changing personal growth book, Brendon presents his nine declarations for personal power and motivation, drawing on insights from his own personal journey and from the lives of some of history's greatest leaders and thinkers. Each chapter focuses on one of the nine declarations, offering practical strategies and exercises to help you apply these principles to your life. Whether you're seeking to overcome self-doubt, boost your confidence, or achieve your goals, The Motivation Manifesto is an invaluable guide to unlocking your full potential. With its inspiring message and actionable advice, this bestselling book is a must-read for anyone who wants to unleash their inner greatness with the power of determination, resilience, and an empowering mindset.
Book Synopsis Have You Discovered Your Assignment with Destiny? by : Anthony Ugochukwu Aliche
Download or read book Have You Discovered Your Assignment with Destiny? written by Anthony Ugochukwu Aliche and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2012-07 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The subject of destiny has attracted various explanations from diverse schools of thought. While some believe in and espouse the philosophy of predestination, others hold that man is the architect of his own destiny—and still others fail to believe in the concept at all. Even among those who believe in the concept of destiny, there is lack of consensus about its definition and its workings given the critical nature of the subject of destiny. There is a need for man to clearly understand and employ the knowledge in his journey from mortality to immortality. In Have You Discovered Your Assignment with Destiny? author Anthony Ugochukwu O. Aliche thoroughly examines the concept of destiny and seeks to guide others to an understanding of how this important aspect of our existence functions. The journey begins with Aliche’s lamentation of man’s inability to acknowledge and define his destiny with particular reference to his assignment with himself, his obligation with his environment, and his assignment with the Creator and the entire cosmos. He believes that life lived without discovering one’s assignment with destiny is life lived without putting God first—and consequently a life tragically wasted. He opens our eyes to the fact that so many lives could make a quantum leap if only they could turn to God and nature for the discovery and manifestation of their destiny. The world would be a better place if we all discovered that we have a role to play individually and collectively, and that we can only achieve if we strive to discover our assignment with destiny.

What they achieved is indeed remarkable, but they all are quick to testify: it is not us, but rather the hand of God using us as building bricks. Book Synopsis Praising Girls by : Henrietta Rix Wood
Download or read book Praising Girls written by Henrietta Rix Wood and published by SIU Press. This book was released on 2016-01-22 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Praising Girls, Henrietta Rix Wood explores how ordinary schoolgirls engaged in extraordinary rhetorical activities during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries in the United States. Focusing on high school girls’ public writing, Wood analyzes newspaper editorials and articles, creative writing projects, yearbook entries, and literary magazines, revealing how young women employed epideictic rhetoric—traditionally used to praise and blame in ceremonial situations—to define their individual and collective identities. Many girls, Wood argues, intervened rhetorically in national and international discourses on class, race, education, immigration, racism, and imperialism, confronting the gender politics that denigrated young women and often deprived them of positions of authority. The site of the study—Kansas City, Missouri—reflects the diverse rhetorical experiences of girls in cities across the United States at the beginning of the last century. Four case studies examine the writing of privileged white girls at a college preparatory school, Native American girls at an off-reservation boarding school, African American girls at a segregated high school, and working- and middle-class girls at a large whites-only public high school. Wood’s analysis reveals a contemporary concept of epideictic rhetoric that accounts for issues of gender, race, class, and age.
