Book excerpt: O conhecimento de modo de heranca, ligado a avaliacao da capacidade decombinacao, tanto geral como especifica, ao tipo de comportamento dos reciprocos e, ao estudo de correlacoes, devera proporcionar maior facilidade e ganho de tempo nos futuros estudos desta area. Os resultados obtidos sao: 1. As cinco linhagens e os vinte hibridos mostram grande variacao para quase todas as caracteristicas, evidenciando alta diversidade genetica no material estudado. 2. A constancia e o valor de certas correlacoes fenotipicas, entre as caracteristicas estudadas nas linhagens e nos hibridos, dependem em ultima analise do material empregado, ou seja, do genotipo. 3. Caracteristicas que se salientam numa determinada linhagem aparece em evidencia nos hibridos dos quais faz parte. 4. O melhor cruzamento em relacao a produtividade foi obtido com as linhagens T 61 e Tux 1020, material mais contrastante para esse caracter. 5. A capacidade geral de combinacao foi mais evidenciada do que acapacidade especifica de combinacao, em quase todas as caracteristicasobservadas, o que mostra uma maior acao da variancia aditiva. 6. A linhagem T 61 apresenta maior capacidade geral de combinacao justamente para aqueles caracteres em que a Tux 1020 e Tux 94, material menos produtivo e de mesma origem proporciona menor capacidade geral de combinacao. 7. A linhagem T 61, em termos de capacidade especifica de combinacao se destaca nas caracteristicas mais ligadas a produtividade, enquanto que a linhagem SR 522 se salienta nas mais ligadas a parte vegetativa da planta. 8. As variancias aditivas foram mais elevadas em relacaoas nao aditivas para os caracteres PG, PE, PS, CE, DC, CME, MS, NTF, NFA e NFB. Semelhantes para AP e NE e inferiores para AE, CUI, NFG e AFindicando que, justamente para aqueles caracteres pouco considerados no momento atual da cultura, em termos de melhoramento, e que as variancias nao aditivadas foram mais evidenciadas. 9. Os coeficientes de correlacao fenotipicas sao equivakentes ou inferiores aos aditivos para PG vs PE, DC, CME, CUI, NE, MS, NTF, NFA e NFB, indicando que uma selecao baseada somente no fenotipo seria vantajosa para esses caracteres, proporcionando resultados alem dos esperados. Ja uma selecao fenotipica para PG vs PS, AE, CE, NFG e MS proporcionaria resultados contrarios aos esperados. 10. Os valores obtidos para a herdabilidade foram inferiores a 0,60, indicando uma acentuada influencia do ambiente. 11. A repeticao deste estudo durante maior numero de anos e locais e indispensavel em trabalhos dessa natureza. So a constancia de resultados permitira uma melhor avaliacao do estudo da interacao genotipo-ambiente.

Foram tomados apenas os dados de producao de graos/parcela. Ensaios analisados individualmente e de forma conjunta. Com a finalidade de verificar a influencia dos locais sobre os parametros geneticos, foi testada a interacao das capacidades combinatorias com os locais, o qual indicou maior inconsistencia dos efeitos geneticos aditivos em ambientes diferentes, quando comparados com os efeitos nao-aditivos. Foram determinadas as correlacoes fenotipicas, genotipicas e de ambiente entre os caracteres estudados, a fim de determinar o grau de associacao entre eles. De modo geral, as correlacoes fenotipicas foram maiores que as genotipicas, indicando maior influencia dos componentes geneticos da correlacao sobre os de ambiente. Assim, as caracteristicas: area foliar, altura de planta, altura de insercao da espiga superior e numero de espigas/parcela correspondem as mais importantes para selecao que tenha como meta aumento da produtividade.

Book excerpt: No presente trabalho, e estudado o comportamento, em dois locais, das linhagens de milho, Tuxpan 1020-17, SR 201-5232, T 61-984-1, Salbert 5392 e SLP 1026-5745, em cruzamentos dialelicos quanto a quinze caracteristicas fenotipicas. Visando a estudar a capacidade geral, especifica e feitos reciprocos, foi aplicado o metodo I modelo II, proposto por GRIFFING (1956). A fim de se analisar a influencia de cada variavel na produtividade, foi usada a analise de regressao multipla "passo-a-passo". Os resultados obtidos evidenciam para estes materiais, nas condicoes ocorridas no ano agricola 1974/75, uma variacao significativa entre locais das caracteristicas estudadas, alternando significativamente, as correlacoes entre elas. A analise de regressao multipla evidenciou como mais influentes na produtividade as caracteristicas, comprimento, diametro e numero de espigas, dentre as estudadas no processo. A analise genetica destacou maior resposta para a capacidade especifica de combinacao, tendo, se evidenciado significancia para os efeitos reciprocos.

Community Under Anarchy supports this thesis through a new and original interpretation of the Concert of Europe, the Holy Alliance, and the political integration of Italy and Germany. In the wake of the upheavals created by the French Revolution and the revolutions of 1848, political elites helped to validate new forms of governance by creating transnational reference groups from which they could draw legitimacy. As a result, European states were able to overcome the polarizing effects of anarchy and create a concert system, a common security association, and two amalgamated security communities. The empirical cases demonstrate how socially derived identities can shape state preferences and create new roles for state leaders.
