Now will My eyes be open and my ears attentive to prayer made in this place" (2 Chronicles 7:14-15). These days, you can turn on the television and get a word for the day or a lesson for the week, and this is great - however, there are still people who, after the word is preached and the lessons are taught, are still hurting and in bondage of multi-dimensions, who are still sick and still not delivered, who need a God, a Jesus, who does more than talk. They need a Jesus who is able to demonstrate His presence and power. When one peruses Scripture one can easily see that God delights to display His power at the behest of an intercessor. An intercessor is one who stands in the gap on behalf of others. Is the church at large postured to intercede? "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one" (Ezekiel 22:30).
