D. 1300-1378 It has been said that it was, probably, in view of this visit of the Justices that he drew up the Ordinaciones de Itinere, which appear in his book, in order to instruct the civic authorities as to the procedure to be followed in the reception of these unwelcome visitors; and that the Ordinances were appropriated by John Carpenter, the City's famous Town Clerk, for his compilation of the Liber Albus, a century later.
