Conducted in a second grade classroom, this 6-week program included brain breaks at least once a day, 3 days a week, for 4 weeks. Brain breaks included activities inside and outside the classroom varying in style similar to those activities in physical education. I collected data of students' on- and off-task behavior using qualitative and quantitative methods. Data sources included observations, pre- and post-surveys and interviews, and behavior checklists.
