Thus, this book invites you to harness your psycho-spirituality to empower your life. It speaks to both Christians and lay readers who seek Christian precept to overcome helplessness in order to enhance emotional and spiritual growth. Hence, Empowered attempts an unprecedented exploration of the intersection of psychology and theology towards the psycho-spiritual study of a biblical character the prophet Daniel of the Old Testament to answer two questions: How is psycho-spirituality expressed in Daniels life and empowered him? How can you apply the lessons to empower your life? The result is an enhanced understanding of Daniel, the person; how his personality interplays with divine calling; and 10 practical lessons backed by research findings that you can apply to better your life.

Book excerpt: Author Pat Munsamy preaches the power of Gods seed in an enlightening book released through Xlibris. In Empowered, readers will know who they are in Christ and what they can do through the miracle of the seed. Empowered discusses the different forms of the seed, and how they affect ones daily life. Munsamy begins by discussing that the seed is the Word, which brings conviction to engender repentance. The seed is also faith, which grows once a person hears the Word. To be empowered by the spirit of God, a person must also experience the seed anointing. As readers absorb Munsamys message in this book, they will see how everything starts with a seed. Everything we give to the Lord is our seeds. Our abilities, our time, our energies, our intellect and our money are our seeds we sow into the kingdom of God. The turnover we will get from these will be startling and incredible. The Lord will give it back to us more than a hundredfold, says the author. Material, fi nancial, spiritual, and intellectual prosperity can only be achieved from sowing seeds. Empowered shows readers how. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All children deserve the opportunity to practice freedom of thought, voice, and movement in school. Giving students the opportunity to practice freedom--to teach them how to be autonomous, responsible, cooperative and critically literate--should be done in communities and schools across the country, and this book shows how. The key ability of the human brain that cannot be digitized or mechanized is its ability to interpret—that is, to cope with the intentions of another, to understand what was said and what was meant. Humans have the ability to work together as a team toward a common goal (i.e. cooperate), to be altruistic and make sacrifices to help others, to build trust, and to feel empathy or sympathy—and robots do not. Developing and using these interpretive and cooperative skills is essential to having a nation of thoughtful citizens who are capable of seeing themselves as solutions to the problems and issues we face. Empowered Students: Educating Flexible Minds for a Flexible Future is a theory-to-practice story of how students at a segregated and failing New York City high school were released from years of oppressive schooling practices and learned how to practice freedom, told through the voices and the people who built it: the school leaders, teachers and students.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines women's participation in the executive structures of the Basel Mission and Presbyterian Church in Cameroon in order to tell a new story of women and church leadership. In 1886, the Basel Mission commenced mission work in Cameroon and successfully established an indigenous church which gained independence in 1957 as Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC). In both churches, women were underrepresented in the echelons of power owing to entrenched patriarchy and recourse to controversial empowerment. Female missionaries to Cameroon trained women in fields like motherhood, domestic science and marriage, which yielded little or no opportunities for local women to participate in the power structures of the Basel Mission. This patriarchal culture was handed down to the PCC, whose initial all-male authority ensured that the power structure was all-male. But growing feminism within the church and pressure from international ecumenical partners led to timid gender reforms which ended women's exclusion from the ordained ministry, promoted female eldership, led to the establishment of a convent, and the adoption of a gender inclusive policy. But women's dearth in positions of leadership persisted, with most executive structures filled by men. So, this book tells the story of women's involvement in the executive structures of the Basel Mission and Presbyterian Church in Cameroon. It is the first effort at a holistic approach to interpreting women's lack of power in these two churches. Based upon archival research and oral sources, the book tells the story of the people, forces and events that led to the consistent underrepresentation of women in the churches' echelons of power. The lived realities of women who challenged patriarchy and held leadership positions in the church are illuminated. It documents the reality of women's lack of power, with particular focus on the dilemmas of female pastors, elders, nuns, and female Christian groups.

It's just been one of those times in the last few weeks, God has just been speaking incredibly special things. I believe such a time as this, this is the most powerful time in the church ever, in our lives. In anybody's lifetime is right now what God wants to do. He wants to do wonderful things. He wants to do mighty things. It's not just about America, but it's about the world. In our day of destiny, that's what it is. This is our destiny. For what God is getting ready to do, there is a destiny, we're going to see the glory of God. To see the glory, we must believe, you got to believe God's doing something. For a long time, I've been in many revivals, and we've had outbreaks of revival where people were healed 1000s of cancers, and all kinds of miracles and, and things taken place. We've had so many different things take place, every time.

It brings new approaches as well as reminds us of lessons already learned but put aside." ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Just buy it!" 🤦🏻‍♀️ There are very few people who escape this physical life without having the experience of feeling like giving up. Life can get so hectic and out of control at times that we feel like we don't have any control at all. What we believe about ourselves becomes our reality; and in so many ways, what we believe about ourselves forms our future. I'm not speaking in airy-fairy, New Age terms here. I am talking about the real deal. 🙍🏻 Our paradigms drive us, one way or the other. You have to willfully choose how you want to be steered. If you are the captain of your boat called life, then your hands need to firmly remain on the wheel that moves the rudder. You can't be the captain of your boat called life if you allow other people to form your paradigms, your beliefs about Self. Don't allow others to shape your beliefs about yourself. Read The Empowered Life. 👍🏻 Success coach Cassandra Blizzard offers an intensive look at how we inadvertently give away our personal power and how we can regroup and bring ourselves back into balance. This book is the culmination of years of working with people and teaching clients how to trust in their Soul, live a more balanced life, and find fulfillment and happiness in the world. Build a bridge of trust with your own Soul, become self-actualized, and take charge of your life like never before. Learn how to get rid of old baggage and break up old belief systems that hold you back, and be bold about moving forward in positive ways. You can have the good life, a balanced life, and an emotionally healthy life. Cassandra shows readers how to appreciate, respect, and value Self, how to lay down positive boundary lines in relationships, and how to transform your life overall. Break through wrong-thinking, overcome obstacles, restore hope, and create personal success. Using this book, together with The Empowered Life: The Workbook, you can transform yourself and your life, reconnect with your Soul, and develop inner peace. 🤸🏻‍♂️ Wouldn’t you like to feel better about your life? Empowerment is just a choice away. Sometimes we make major changes in life just by taking one, small step, or making one, simple decision. But those decisions are not always easy to make. We tend to cater to other people’s whim, or we are afraid of hurting someone’s feelings. Afraid to take a risk, to step out of that dead-end job and aim for something higher. Afraid to make a decision to get out of a bad relationship. Afraid, fearful, anxious. Too often, these are the emotions that rule our lives and make our decisions for us. But it doesn’t have to be that way. You can empower yourself to be more in control of your life, to be more centered, to make more positive decisions for self, and to understand how the soul works in your life to bring you to a better place, always. Whether in business, relationship, or just within yourself, you can learn how to take control and be a much more balanced, much happier person. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Empowerment produces the conditions for high performance. Especially for middle managers and below. Empowered cultures attract and retain talent. They produce high achievement, high accountability and high commitment. The Empowered Manager uncovers a roadmap to creating a more accountable culture in today's fragmented and virtual world. Bestselling author Peter Block is a true visionary: author of the classic Flawless Consulting, his work is about empowerment, stewardship, chosen accountability, and reconciliation of community. In this book, he returns his eye toward management to renew our efforts to create a shift in the traditional hierarchy. Twenty years after the original book, Block talks of why it is so difficult to both open the door to empowerment and more importantly, have people walk through it. It is more important than ever to create a culture in which all members of an organization are treated as entrepreneurs, giving them ownership over their role and responsibilities. This is in the face of the reality that most employees want safety, not the adventure of empowerment. Peter enhances the first edition of the book by acknowledging employees wish for dependency. Their longing for the days when a job carried a promise of a future, and companies cared more about the product and the people, than about the money. This is written primarily for people in the middle. Good managers and employees who care more about doing good work and treating people right, than ambition and making it into the ruling class. The upper middle and below is where there is the greatest need for great management. Which builds on valuing strengths, and allowing talent the space to stretch and achieve. Almost independent of the power points of people at the top. This book shows you how a new approach to management empowers all employees at all levels, and culminates in better business outcomes for the entire organization. Help shape a culture of commitment Develop the political skills to negotiate successfully Take responsibility for your actions Learn to fail up, and face setbacks with courage If you feel controlled by bureaucracy, unrewarded for creativity, and from a distance, powerless to control your own destiny, this book is the breath of fresh air your career has been craving. Timeless tips from a master of business strategy alongside a framework for more effective management makes The Empowered Manager a must-read guide for anyone doing business today.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In his seminal work, Young, Anointed and Empowered, Marcus L. Arrington presents an uplifting message of hope to teens and young adults worldwide. Through transparent articulation of his own journey and the journeys of well-known biblical figures, he confirms that God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Some of his character highlights include David, Joseph and Daniel and his three friends. Arrington's introduction begins with a brief survey of the ills that inundate the landscape of youthdom. He ends on a glorious note of triumph by assuring youths and those that care for youths that the enemies that confront them and seek to destroy them aren't indestructible. In fact, Arrington informs some and reminds others that God Almighty is a timely deliverer who makes it His business to rescue the downtrodden, bruised and oppressed. After a riveting introduction, Arrington builds momentum in Chapter 1 where he asks poignantly, "whatcha lookin for?" He again informs and reminds youths that the "it" or "thing" their searching for is found in God through Jesus Christ. After examining the faith, commitment and courage of the aforesaid biblical figures in Chapters 4-6, Arrington continues his conversation by observing purity and the need to have a clean heart before God in chapter 7. He transitions from his emphasis on purity and addresses the politics of being called by God to do a work for God. In Chapter 8 Arrington, discusses empowerment. He creatively explains the ministry, person and work of the Holy Spirit and why all believers need His direction and help. Finally, Arrington concludes his conversation with a heartfelt observation of the truth that greatness in life is preceded by the tandem of humility and obedience to God.
