Book Synopsis Ghana by : International Monetary Fund. African Dept.
Download or read book Ghana written by International Monetary Fund. African Dept. and published by International Monetary Fund. This book was released on 2019-12-18 with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This 2019 Article IV Consultation with Ghana highlights discussions focused on strengthening institutions and policies to preserve macroeconomic stability and promote inclusive growth, building on the authorities’ “Ghana beyond Aid” strategy. The government headline deficit is projected to reach 4.7 percent of gross domestic product in 2019, driven by lower-than-expected revenues, spending on flagship programs, and unexpected security outlays due to emerging security challenges in the region. Medium-term prospects are favorable, with robust growth driven mostly by the extractive sector. Election-related spending pressures in 2020 constitute the main risk to the baseline scenario. Fiscal risks in the financial and energy sectors could also impact the government deficit. Government borrowing needs are exposed to rollover risk that should be carefully managed as financing conditions could tighten. The commitment to the new fiscal rules is expected to help maintain fiscal discipline, as reflected in the unchanged policy baseline. A more ambitious fiscal stance is called for to reduce macroeconomic risks, accelerate debt reduction, and strengthen the external balance.
Book Synopsis A Taste for Corpora by : Fanny Meunier
Download or read book A Taste for Corpora written by Fanny Meunier and published by John Benjamins Publishing. This book was released on 2011-08-18 with total page 313 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The eleven contributions to this volume, written by expert corpus linguists, tackle corpora from a wide range of perspectives and aim to shed light on the numerous linguistic and pedagogical uses to which corpora can be put. They present cutting-edge research in the authors’ respective domain of expertise and suggest directions for future research. The main focus of the book is on learner corpora, but it also includes reflections on the role of other types of corpora, such as native corpora, expert users corpora, parallel corpora or corpora of New Englishes. For readers who are already familiar with corpora, this volume offers an informed account of the key role that corpus data play in applied linguistics today. As for readers who are new to corpus linguistics, the overview of approaches, methods and domains of applications presented will undoubtedly help them develop their own taste for corpora. This volume has been edited in honour of Sylviane Granger, who has been one of the pioneers of learner corpus research.

This book was released on 2012-11-08 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Relay Testing Handbook was created for relay technicians from all backgrounds and providesthe knowledge necessary to test most of the modern protective relays installed over a widevariety of industries. Basic electrical fundamentals, detailed descriptions of protective elements, and generic test plans are combined with examples from real life applications to increase yourconfidence in any relay testing situation. A wide variety of relay manufacturers and models areused in the examples to help you realize that once you conquer the sometimes confusing andfrustrating man-machine interfaces created by the different manufacturers, all digital relays usethe same basic fundamentals and most relays can be tested by applying these fundamentals. This package provides a step-by-step procedure for testing the most common differential protectionapplications used by a variety of manufacturers. Each chapter follows a logical progression to helpunderstand why differential protection is used and how it is applied. Testing procedures are describedin detail to ensure that the differential protection has been correctly applied. Each chapter uses thefollowing outline to best describe the element and the test procedures.1. Application2. Settings3. Pickup Testing4. Timing Tests5. Tips and Tricks to Overcome Common ObstaclesWe will review techniques to test differential relays with 3 or 6 channels so that readers can test nearlyany differential application with any modern test set.
