Book excerpt: "The Grand Sweep of Cosmic History of How we got here" For thousands of years, we − an advanced breed of talking monkeys − survived just like the inhumanly cruel beasts in jungles on a minor planet of a very average star. Immediately something called curiosity ensued which triggered the breath of our perception. We became conscious of our existence, able to find a new way to think of ourselves, started to wonder what makes us exist the way we are. If, like me, you have wondered looking at the star, and tried to make sense of what makes it shine the way it is. Did it shine forever or was there a limit beyond which it cannot or may not shine? And, where did the matter that created it all come from? Which came first, the chicken, or the egg? In other words, which cause makes the matter exist? And, what makes that cause exist. Or maybe, the matter, or the cause that does it exist, existed eternally, and didn't have a beginning. Up until recently, we have tended to shy away from such questions, thinking that finding answers for them is more complex than simply turn our mind blank and say mysterious God is the cause there is something living rather than nothing. Everything that begins to exist must have a creator; If the universe began to exist, then The universe must have a creator. But if the universe prevails in the boundary of understanding in that it neither started nor does it end: it would plainly be. What place, then for a mysterious creator? Cosmology is the branch of science that studies the origin, evolution, and large-scale structure of the universe as a whole. It seeks to understand the physical laws that govern the universe, the nature of dark matter and dark energy, the formation and evolution of galaxies, and the ultimate fate of the universe. The modern understanding of cosmology is based on the theory of general relativity, which was developed by Albert Einstein in 1915. According to this theory, the universe is described as a four-dimensional space-time that is curved by the presence of matter and energy. The curvature of space-time determines the motion of objects in the universe, and it can be calculated using Einstein's equations. One of the key concepts in modern cosmology is the Big Bang theory, which states that the universe began as a hot, dense, and infinitely small point about 13.8 billion years ago. The universe has been expanding and cooling ever since, with the galaxies moving farther and farther apart from each other. Another important concept in cosmology is dark matter, which is a type of matter that does not interact with light or any other form of electromagnetic radiation. Dark matter is believed to make up about 85% of the matter in the universe, and its gravitational effects can be observed through the motions of galaxies and galaxy clusters. Dark energy is another mysterious component of the universe, which is believed to be responsible for the accelerated expansion of the universe in the present era. Dark energy is thought to make up about 70% of the total energy density of the universe, and its nature is not yet well understood. Cosmologists use a variety of observational and theoretical tools to study the universe, including telescopes, satellites, computer simulations, and mathematical models. The field of cosmology is constantly evolving as new observations and discoveries are made, and it is one of the most active and exciting areas of research in modern astrophysics. This book is a comprehensive introduction to the field of cosmology, written for students and general readers interested in learning about the origins, evolution, and structure of the universe. The book covers the historical development of cosmological theories, from the ancient Greeks to the present day, and explores the latest observations and discoveries in astrophysics and cosmology. The book provides a clear and accessible explanation of the principles of general relativity, quantum mechanics, and other scientific theories that underpin our understanding of the universe. It also discusses the role of dark matter and dark energy in the structure and evolution of the universe, and explores the possibility of parallel universes and other speculative theories. This book emphasizes the importance of observational evidence and scientific testing in the development of cosmological theories, and it discusses the challenges and limitations of scientific inquiry in this field. Overall, "From the Beginning of Space and Time: Modern Science and the Mystic Universe" offers a comprehensive and engaging exploration of the mysteries of the universe, and it provides readers with a solid foundation for further study and exploration in this exciting field of science.

Book excerpt: In astronomical observation, there are a lot of "gravitational anomalies" that cannot be explained by the current theories of gravity. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the influence of the motion of various space particles on the forming force. Based on the particle radiation emitted by stars, I deduced three formulas on the repulsion of stars and wrote this book on them. When there is a force, there must be an entity applying said force. I have pondered: the theory that mass itself creates gravitation does not make sense from the point of view of the law of Conservation of Energy. The further corollary is that there is also an external actor on the force of gravitation besides mass. After much thought and based on the characteristics of gravity, I believe the gravitational force between two objects is caused by the mysterious set of subatomic elementary particles that I am terming "strongly transmissive particles" diffusing in space. Although we have difficulty in detecting them comprehensively at present, we cannot rush to deny their existence and function. Neutrinos are typical example of strongly transmission particles, especially tau neutrino ( ). is a master of invisibility. It is the most likely one to cause gravitation. Now, we don't know for sure the flux of neutrinos in the universe. So it is too early to accept that the Big Bang theory is entirely correct until a more compelling theory of gravity is found. In March 2013, I established the analysis model for the interactions of the strongly transmissive particles acting between two objects and re-deduced the gravity formula. When I deduced the formula to the format of, the universal gravitational constant is nowhere to be seen. Instead, there were seven factors that showed up in the precious seat of . This new gravity formula may give valuable answers to some long pending cases in the theory of gravity. The components of the comprehensive force of the stars and their peripheral celestial bodies are different from that of the planet and their peripheral celestial bodies, mainly because of the repulsion of the stars. That is to say, the force components (including gravity, radiation repulsion, rotating centrifugal force, and normal force from the ground, etc.) of the earth and its "apple" are different from that of the sun and its "apple," which represents the planets and asteroids in the solar system. This is why we call this book " Apple of the Sun." The content of this book intend to prove that the in the equation for Newton's law of universal gravitation, we used to recognize as a "constant value," should not be a constant. The author came up with this core theory and intends to prove it from a certain angle throughout this book. This book is dedicated to the vast number of scientific workers to facilitate discussion on the mystery of gravity.

Book excerpt: The First Conference of the International Society for the Study of Time was held at the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut at Oberwolfach in the Black Forest, Federal Republic of Germany from Sunday, 31 August to Saturday, 6 September, 1969. The origin of this conference and the formation of the Society goes back to a proposal due to J. T. Fraser that was discussed at a conference on "Interdisciplinary Perspectives of Time" held by the New York Academy of Sciences in January, 1966. It was unanimously agreed than that an international society should be formed on an interdisciplinary basis with the object of stimulating interest in all problems concerning 'time and that this object could best be attained by means of conferences held at regular intervals. J. T. Fraser was elected Secretary, S. Watanabe Treasurer, and I was elected President. It was agreed, at my suggestion, that the organization of the first conference of the newly formed Society be left to a committee of these three officers, on the understanding that they would invite authorities on the role of time in the various special sciences and humanities to form an Advisory Board to assist them. One of the main difficulties in seeking support for an interdisciplinary conference is that most foundations confine their interest exclusively either to the sciences or to the humanities.

Book excerpt: The main focus of this book is on the interconnection of two unorthodox scientific ideas, the varying-gravity hypothesis and the expanding-earth hypothesis. As such, it provides a fascinating insight into a nearly forgotten chapter in both the history of cosmology and the history of the earth sciences. The hypothesis that the force of gravity decreases over cosmic time was first proposed by Paul Dirac in 1937. In this book the author examines in detail the historical development of Dirac’s hypothesis and its consequences for the structure and history of the earth, the most important of which was that the earth must have been smaller in the past.
