The book is intended, in fact, to be an introduction to the Common School Geography, and, like that, contains little or nothing that will not be as true as it is now, when the child has left school and gone forth to use what he has acquired. The time will prob ably never come, to the present generation at least, when the newest edition of either book cannot be used in the same class with the oldest edition, a consideration of some importance in the selection of a school book. Large Outline Maps, similar to those in the book, will soon be prepared by the authors, at a low price; and, as the plan is different from that of other geographies, all the necessary for its use are given as fast as they are needed.
