Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you a textbook overthinker? Does your mind constantly run? Does it make it hard to fall asleep? Did you know you can control the mind? Did you know that it has an off switch! I know, I was pretty mad no one ever told me until now either! Six simple steps can guide one to master the mind. It will lead them to enlightenment. It is to turn the mind off. Is this world the way it is because you asked yourself and indeed it is? Or is it the way it is because someone told you how it was and you believed them? The truth has been written down hundreds of times before... but those books don't work! The answer is the present moment, it is the now you have been preached! We just have not been taught to sustain it! Sustainability and the translational divide between the enlightened and the common mind masses is what Wagner tackles in this revolutionary guide. In this genre-defining self-help guide, a normal burnt out, depressed man cuts through the crap to show us how to Awaken so that we can truly become better, happier people. For decades, we’ve been told that an enlightened person is: Peaceful and Serene. ...Loving, Kind, and Compassionate. ...Not Self-Centered. ...Emotionally Stable. ...Patient and Understanding. ...Humble. ...Insightful and Open-Minded. . "Complete bullsh*t," Adam Wagner says. "This book outlines a process that can guide one to enlightenment. The language surrounding enlightenment is fanciful and misleading. Enlightenment is to stop the mind. To stop your thoughts. As simple as that. Amplification Meditation: The New Science of Awakening is his antidote to the typical work, sleep, work, die, lifecycle we find ourselves in as a society. It is his way out! Wagner makes the argument, backed both by academic research and well-timed cannibalism jokes, that Enlightenment hinges not on our ability to embrace the power of now,” but on being able to turn off the brain. Human beings have collectively suffered enough—" We have never been taught to stop our minds. An active mind is highly encouraged. We were educated for 18 years and then sent into the world to think ourselves into a better life. No one ever mentioned the “off switch.” You will have strong feelings I am wrong and that to turn it off would be extremely detrimental. , Wagner makes clear. This is your ego snarling at an idea that is very threatening to it. To stop the mind is to kill the ego.. A much-needed grab-you-by-the-shoulders-and-look-you-in-the-eye moment of real-talk, filled with entertaining stories and profane, ruthless humor, Amplification Meditation: The New Science of Awakening is a refreshing slap for a generation to help them begin a great awakening. We discuss Eckhart Tolle, Leo Guru, Allan Watts, and all the modern spiritual culture that has us so lost! Your rating and reviews will be very helpful to me going forward. If you enjoy the book please consider rating and reviewing. Thank you kindly! They will be released for free to spread awareness. Please share them where you can!

It is an attempt to reclaim something of what we were before we used words like ‘civilized’ to define ourselves.” —Micah Mortali In his long-awaited book Rewilding, Kripalu director Micah Mortali brings together yoga, mindfulness, wilderness training, and ancestral skills to create a unique guide for reigniting your primal energy—your undomesticated true self—and deepening your connection with the living earth. Whether you live in the middle of a city or alongside the woods, the insights and practices on these pages will bring you home to your wild, wise, and alive self. Highlights include: Practice-rich content—mindfulness exercises, guided meditations, yoga and pranayama, inward sensing, forest bathing, and much moreThe “life-force deficit”—explore how our separation from nature affects us physiologically and spirituallyAncestral skills—such as tracking, foraging, building fires, and finding shelterDevelop a sense of calm, clarity, connection, and confidence in both your daily life and the great outdoorsWhat you can learn from nature’s teachers—lessons from mountains, rivers, trees, and our animal kinRewild in the wild—guidelines around safety, preparedness, appropriate gear, and packing listsA mindful rewilding flow—put everything together in an immersive, step-by-step rewilding experienceAwaken your authentic spiritual connection with the natural world as you come home to your true selfUnderstand the relationship between our health and the health of our planet—and how we can begin to heal both Part celebration of the natural world, part spiritual memoir, and part how-to guide, Rewilding is a must-read for anyone who wants to embrace their wild nature and essential place in the living earth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Handbook provides a comprehensive overview and analysis of the state of the field of the philosophy of meditation and engages primarily in the philosophical assessment of the merits of meditation practices. This Handbook unites novel and original scholarship from 28 leading Asian and Western philosophers, scientists, theologians, and other scholars on the philosophical assessment of meditation. It critically assesses the conceptual and empirical validity of meditation, its philosophical implications, its legitimacy as a phenomenological research tool, its potential value as an aid to neuroscience research, its many practical benefits, and, among other considerations, its possibly misleading interpretations, applications, and consequences. Following the introduction by the editor, the Handbook’s chapters are organized in six parts: • Meditation and philosophy • Meditation and epistemology • Meditation and metaphysics • Meditation and values • Meditation and phenomenology • Meditation in Greco-Roman and Judeo-Christian traditions A distinctive, timely, and invaluable reference work, it marks the emergence of a new discipline therein, the philosophy of meditation. The book will be of interest to an interdisciplinary audience in the fields of philosophy, meditation, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, theology, and Asian and Western philosophy. It will serve as the textbook in any philosophy course on meditation, and as secondary reading in courses in philosophy of mind, consciousness, selfhood/personhood, metaphysics, or phenomenology, thereby helping to restore philosophy as a way of life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: *As heard on the Tim Ferriss Show podcast* 'Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics is well researched, practical, and crammed with expert advice and it's also an irreverent, hilarious page-turner.' - Gretchen Rubin ABC News anchor Dan Harris used to think that meditation was for people who collect crystals, play the pan pipes, and use the word namaste without irony. After he had a panic attack on live television, he went on a strange journey that ultimately led him to become one of meditation's most vocal public proponents. Science suggests that meditation can lower blood pressure, mitigate depression and anxiety, and literally rewire key parts of the brain, among numerous other benefits. And yet there are millions of people who want to meditate but aren't actually practising. What's holding them back? In this guide to mindfulness and meditation for beginners and experienced meditators alike, Harris and his friend Jeff Warren, embark on a cross-country quest to tackle the myths, misconceptions, and self-deceptions that stop people from meditating. They rent a rock-star tour bus and travel across the US, talking to scores of would-be meditators, including parents, police officers, and even a few celebrities. They create a taxonomy of the most common issues ("I suck at this," "I don't have the time," etc.) and offer up science-based life hacks to help people overcome them. The book is filled with game-changing and deeply practical meditation instructions. Amid it all unspools the strange and hilarious story of what happens when a congenitally sarcastic, type-A journalist and a groovy Canadian mystic embark on an epic road trip into America's neurotic underbelly, as well as their own.

Have you tried to rise up and renew your mind only to be weighed down by exhaustion or laid low by hopelessness? The truth is that what you think controls who has access to your mind. Even seemingly harmless thoughts can open gates in your mind that allow the enemy to secretly infiltrate, build strongholds, and turn your mind to wage war against the very One that you long to serve. But what's been opened can always be closed. Having helped multitudes experience spiritual freedom from demonic forces, Jareb Nott shows how you can seal off the powers of darkness from your mind and tear down their strongholds, empowering you to think thoughts that host the peace, presence, and power of God. Through scientific and biblical research, he offers a step-by-step process to help you transform your mind into a supernaturally impenetrable fortress of hope and joy! In this revolutionary yet practical book, Jareb not only exposes the enemy’s insidious strategies for infecting your mind, but he also reveals how to: Silence the enemy’s tormenting thoughts. Think the kind of thoughts that host God’s presence. Wield the power of biblical meditation, prayer, and intercession to renew your mind. Build supernatural strongholds in your mind that open the gates of Heaven. Protect your life and mind from the powers of darkness. And more! A deeper dimension of fellowship and encounter with the Holy Spirit awaits you! Stop empowering the darkness to dominate your thoughts. It’s time to dominate the darkness—and flood your mind with the transforming light of God’s presence.

In Awakening from the Daydream, discover how these ancient symbols are still relevant to our modern life. In Awakening from the Daydream, meditation teacher David Nichtern reimagines the ancient Buddhist allegory of the Wheel of Life. Famously painted at the entryway to Buddhist monasteries, the Wheel of Life encapsulates the entirety of the human situation. In the image of the Wheel we find a teaching about how to make sense of life and how to find peace within an uncertain world. Nichtern writes with clarity and humor, speaking to our contemporary society and its concerns and providing simple practical steps for building a mindful, compassionate, and liberating approach to living.

This book, from the author of The Code of the Extraordinary Mind, will disrupt your deeply held beliefs about work, success, and, indeed, life. If you’re the average person in the developed world, you spend 70 percent of your waking hours at work. And if you’re the average person, you’re miserable for most of those hours. This is simply not an acceptable state of affairs for your one shot at life. No matter your station, you possess incredible unique powers. It’s a modern myth that hard work and hustle are the paths to success. Inside you is a soul. And once you unleash it fully into the domain of work, magic happens. Awakening the Buddha and the Badass inside you is a process that will disrupt the way you work altogether. You’ll gain access to tools that bend the very rules of reality. • The Buddha is the archetype of the spiritual master. The person who can live in this world but also move with an ease, grace, and flow that comes from inner awareness and alignment. • The Badass is the archetype of the changemaker. This is the person who is out there creating change, building, coding, writing, inventing, leading. The badass represents the benevolent disruptor—the person challenging the norms so we can be better as a species. Once you integrate the skill sets of both archetypes, you will experience life at a different level from most people. You will operate from a space of bliss, ease, inspiration, and abundance. The Buddha and the Badass: The Secret Spiritual Art of Succeeding at Work will show you how. Author of the New York Times bestseller The Code of the Extraordinary Mind and founder of Mindvalley, Vishen Lakhiani has turned his own life and company into his research lab. He’s codified everything he’s learned into the how-to steps in this book. The Buddha and the Badass teaches you how to master your work and your life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Learn to mobilize latent energy in your body and direct it to energize and awaken your higher brain • Provides a simplified step-by-step guided process to the higher-brain activation techniques of Source Code Meditation • Explains how to shift energy out of the lower “survive” brain into the higher “thrive” brain to bring confidence, clarity, and empowerment for transformative change in all areas of life • Reveals how the “brain first” techniques of SCM tune the brain to receive meditation, enabling access to deep flow states, transcendent states of consciousness, and higher brain potential The human brain is like a flowing river of potential. Until now, that river has been blocked, barricaded, and diverted by the primitive lower brain. The lower brain hijacks our ability to experience deeper flow and higher transcendent states of consciousness. It also guards against the full expression of the passionate human heart. Source Code Meditation (SCM), with its nine summits of transformation, effortlessly re-routes that lower brain diversion, allowing you to activate latent energy in your body, awaken your higher brain, enlighten your mind, and set your heart on fire to create a new world. With traditional meditation techniques, it often takes decades of practice for hours each day to confer significant changes in the mind and the higher brain. Few of us make it to these rarified states of mind, due to the amount of time and the intensity of focus needed. With “brain first” SCM techniques, you mobilize latent energy in the body and direct it to energize and awaken the higher brain before meditation begins. With the higher brain prepped and tuned, meditation is efficiently received, leading to quantum breakthroughs in higher consciousness without years of practice as well as access to deep flow states, transcendent states of consciousness, and higher brain potential. Providing a simplified step-by-step guided process to SCM, Dr. Michael Cotton explains how to shift energy out of the lower “survive” brain into the higher “thrive” brain to bring confidence, clarity, and empowerment for transformative change in all areas of life. Distilled from the world’s most comprehensive philosophy, Integral Metatheory, SCM offers not only a way to create the brain state necessary to change the mind, but the crystal clarity needed to use these advanced meditative states to actualize your potential and live your destiny to the fullest.

Book excerpt: Now on Netflix as a 4-part documentary series! “Pollan keeps you turning the pages . . . cleareyed and assured.” —New York Times A #1 New York Times Bestseller, New York Times Book Review 10 Best Books of 2018, and New York Times Notable Book A brilliant and brave investigation into the medical and scientific revolution taking place around psychedelic drugs--and the spellbinding story of his own life-changing psychedelic experiences When Michael Pollan set out to research how LSD and psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) are being used to provide relief to people suffering from difficult-to-treat conditions such as depression, addiction and anxiety, he did not intend to write what is undoubtedly his most personal book. But upon discovering how these remarkable substances are improving the lives not only of the mentally ill but also of healthy people coming to grips with the challenges of everyday life, he decided to explore the landscape of the mind in the first person as well as the third. Thus began a singular adventure into various altered states of consciousness, along with a dive deep into both the latest brain science and the thriving underground community of psychedelic therapists. Pollan sifts the historical record to separate the truth about these mysterious drugs from the myths that have surrounded them since the 1960s, when a handful of psychedelic evangelists inadvertently catalyzed a powerful backlash against what was then a promising field of research. A unique and elegant blend of science, memoir, travel writing, history, and medicine, How to Change Your Mind is a triumph of participatory journalism. By turns dazzling and edifying, it is the gripping account of a journey to an exciting and unexpected new frontier in our understanding of the mind, the self, and our place in the world. The true subject of Pollan's "mental travelogue" is not just psychedelic drugs but also the eternal puzzle of human consciousness and how, in a world that offers us both suffering and joy, we can do our best to be fully present and find meaning in our lives.

Book excerpt: This book is fourth part (book-4) of the Kundalini science series. Its first part, second part (book-2), and third part (book-3) are also available. It is the compiled form of blog-posts. Those posts are written by Premyogi vajra, a mystic yogi. He is enlightened as well as he has his kundalini awakened. These all posts are related to kundalini. One post corresponds to one chapter. Premyogi vajra is writing about Kundalini since 4 years ago, when his kundalini awakened after one year long continued kundalini yoga meditation. He became amazed on seeing that nowhere Kundalini had been mentioned or described completely. Even Kundalini had not been defined properly. He searched and read many kundalini awakening experiences, but he found none as genuine and complete. Although he found Samadhi as mentioned in Patanjali Yoga Sutras as equivalent to Kundalini, but that was described in a mystic and ancient way that was difficult to be understood by the laymen type general public. Therefore inspired by these shortcomings, he decided to present every know-how about kundalini in very simple or childish way keeping everything at ground level, true, experiential, scientific, original, practical and intuitive. That genuine, honest and humane effort resulted into the origination of this wonderful book. That is why this book appears as a blessing for kundalini seekers. Because it is not comfortable to read so many blog posts together on glare producing screens, therefore those posts were presented in the form of a kindle e-book that is comfortable and enjoying to read. As a result, it is fully hoped that readers will find this book spiritually uplifting and comfortable to read. Premayogi Vajra was born in the year 1975 in a small village in the beautiful basket valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. He is naturally fond of writing, philosophy, spirituality, yoga, public service, applied science and tourism. He has also done commendable work in the field of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine. He is also fond of polyhouse farming, organic farming, scientific and water conserving irrigation, rainwater harvesting, kitchen gardening, cow farming, vermicomposting, website development, self-publishing, music (especially flute playing) and singing. He has also written close to ten books on almost all these subjects, whose descriptions are available on Amazone Author Central, Author Page, Premyogi vajra. The description of these books is also available on his personal website demystifyingkundalini.com. He had also been a Vedic priest for a short period of time, when he performed religious rituals in people's homes with the help of his Vedic priestly grandfather. He has gained some advanced spiritual experiences (enlightenment and Kundalini awakening). His autobiography, along with his unique experiences, is particularly shared in the book "Physiology Philosophy - A Modern Kundalini Tantra (A Yogi's Love Story)" written in Hindi. The matching equivalent of this book in English is “Love story of a Yogi- what Patanjali says”. This book is the most prominent and ambitious book of his life. This book contains the most important 25 years of his life’s philosophy. He has worked very hard for this book. In a quality and unbiased review on Amazon.com, this book has been reviewed as a five-star, best, must-read and excellent book. Google Play Book Review also found five stars for this book, and this book was rated as good (cool). Premyogi vajra is a mysterious person. He is like a polymorphic man, who has no fixed form of his own. His actual form depends on the size and type of the trance/Samadhi that he is continuously experiencing in his mind, no matter what he looks like from outside. He is enlightened (self realized), and his Kundalini has also awakened. He had self realization or enlightenment naturally / through love yoga, and Kundalini awakening through artificial means / Kundalini yoga. At the time of natural samadhi, he was assisted by symbolic and uni-vehicular Tantra yoga, while at the time of artificial trance/Samadhi he got the help of complete and bi-vehicular Tantra yoga along with the majority of his own efforts. More and more scientists are discovering that both disciplines are only two sides of the same coin. We are on the verge of a major paradigm change in science where the immaterial subjective world of the mind can no longer be separated from the objective material world. This leap in human consciousness was already foreseen by the ancients and American indigenous people like the Maya, Hopi and Aztecs who prophesized that this transformation of consciousness would take place in our time. This book takes you on a journey from the ancient wisdom to the most modern scientific insights and demonstrates how both can be united.
