With machines in good condition, tools that will remove the maximum amount of material in a given time with the least frictional resistance and retain their cutting edge, form a necessary part of a perfect combination. The man who runs his machine, instead of letting his machine run him, will soon discover the proper shape of tool for a given (to be continued.) operation, and on all forgings that have been roughed out, the amount of feed and depth of cut will then be limited only by the pulling power of the belt.
