Book excerpt: Alien Times – Book 2, Confrontation continues the efforts by Special Investigative Agent Sam Holden and Washington Post Senior Staff Reporter Julie Peterson to uncover the truth about alien coverup efforts by the Extraterrestrial Counter Threat Group (ECTG) and identify its leaders. Events spiral out of control as anti-alien protesters and militia supporters blame the world’s environmental crises on alien interference in human affairs. The final confrontation occurs on the grounds of the Washinton Monument in historic fashion before the real truth about alien involvement becomes evident. Alien Times – Book 2 begins with agent Sam Holden attempting to bring ECTG leader General Frank Roberts and his men to justice for the murder of Washington Post investigative reporter Joe Bingham and the kidnapping of Julie Peterson after her rescue at Area 51. Julie is working on her next story regarding anti-alien groups spreading conspiracy theories about aliens and planning a major demonstration at the UN General Assembly in New York City. Tarid’s hostility toward Idin and humans increases as U.S. Navy Fleets continue to operate near his underwater sea base in the Pacific Ocean. Tarid threatens Idin and chases him away from Earth. He then attacks the Navy Pacific Fleet with a high energy electromagnetic microwave weapon causing serious health issues to all crew members on board. Tarid warns the fleet to stay two hundred miles from their underwater base or he will attack again. A final rally takes place in front of the Washington Monument on the National Mall. Anti-alien demonstrators learn the terrible secret of alien interference on our planet. It causes a mass riot that forces President Zora Madison to take extreme security measures to protect herself and others during this historic event. The truth about what happened is hard to accept, but it only serves as a warning that more effort is needed to save the planet and humans from extinction.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Top-Secret U.S. special black operations group has been covering up alien visitations and secret alien UFO research projects for decades. This time, they went too far. They are holding a real live alien captive at Area 51 and will do anything to prevent this alien from meeting with the President and going public, finally proving once and for all that extraterrestrials do exist. This Top-Secret organization is called Extraterrestrial Counter Threat Group (ECTG). It is run by a high-ranking Pentagon Chief of Staff Space Force general who heads a secret team of scientists tasked with reverse engineering advanced UFO spacecraft held at Area 4, which is part of the highly restrictive Area 51 military base in Nevada. The ECTG will do anything to prevent this alien from meeting with the President of the United States, including murdering a Washington Post investigative reporter in the name of National Security. With help from a woman staff reporter for the Washington Post and a special agent for the Airborne Object Identification Group (AOIG), the alien finally escapes captivity and meets with the President of the U.S. at Camp David. The alien has an important message and offer of help for the President and the people on this planet. The question becomes, will people listen to the message or ignore the peril the world is facing in this time of extreme environmental crises?

Book excerpt: ASCIENTIFICDETECTIVESTORY In Confrontations, the second volume of his Alien Contact Trilogy, Dr. Jacques Vallee personally investigates forty astonishing UFO cases from around the world. He finds it shocking that professional scientists have never seriously examined this material. This book is about the hopes, experiences, and the frustrations of a scientist who has gone into the field to investigate a bizarre, seductive, and often terrifying phenomenon reported by many witnesses as a contact with an alien form of intelligence. Dr. Jacques Vallee was born in France, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the Sorbonne and a Master of Science in astrophysics from the University of Lille. He began his professional life as an astronomer at the Paris Observatory in 1961. While on the staff of the French Space Committee, he witnessed the destruction of the tracking tapes of unknown objects orbiting the earth, initiating a lifelong interest in the UFO phenomenon. Vallee arrived in the U.S. in 1962, worked in astronomy at the University of Texas at Austin, and wrote two highly respected scientific examinations arguing for the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis (ETH) of UFO origins. In 1967, he received a Ph.D. in computer science from Northwestern University, where he became a close associate of J. Allen Hynek, then scientific consultant for the U.S. Air Force on Project Blue Book. Eventually concluding that the ETH was too narrow to encompass the burgeoning UFO data, he conducted his own extensive global research, resulting in the "Alien Contact Trilogy." Dr. Vallee is presently a venture capitalist living in San Francisco. His website is www.jacquesvallee.com."

Except that right now, he doesn’t know that. He can’t even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he’s been asleep for a very, very long time. And he’s just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company. His crewmates dead, his memories fuzzily returning, Ryland realizes that an impossible task now confronts him. Hurtling through space on this tiny ship, it’s up to him to puzzle out an impossible scientific mystery—and conquer an extinction-level threat to our species. And with the clock ticking down and the nearest human being light-years away, he’s got to do it all alone. Or does he? An irresistible interstellar adventure as only Andy Weir could deliver, Project Hail Mary is a tale of discovery, speculation, and survival to rival The Martian—while taking us to places it never dreamed of going.

How foolish it is to try and live in a world I do not yet understand. I have also decided never to marry a person I do not know and understand completely. The genetics of other cultures has been and eye opener for me. You can bet your life I will learn the genetics of the man I plan to marry and also his family. The number of subjects covered in this book has been unreal and a real education. I look foward to reading Book Two and the other books mentioned in Book One." Anna Kelly, Portland. Oregon "I have never read a more straight forward presentation on embryology and it's relationship to creation. I was flabergasted and I have been studying the subject for 4 years now. The writer's relationship on embryology and creation is wonderful and very intelligent. The formation of the brain and the instructions forwarded to construct other parts of the body was abosolutely mind blowing. We in Med. are aware of the over all picture but I never got into this area as it was explained by B Elliott and I bet it would be hard to find another MD who had done so. This was enough to sell me on the creative process." Henry Bell, N.Y. This book covers an unbelivable number of subjects,in great detail, and all of them were verifiable by our research group. Every student working on their Phd. was extremly excited. Our group covered all the Medical, Biological, and Theological aspects presented in this Book One also Book Two.The Astrology, Astronomy,Embryology and Astrobiology was like taking a graduate course in these and all the other subjects included. If you read both books you will really want to read his others. Every one in the Science, Biology, and Theology classes have already purchased Book Two after reading Book One. John Henderson, North Carolina This book will give you facts and information beyond your belief and with an open mind you will soon be able to reach your own conclusions on the particular questions and subjects at hand. The author is not trying to make you change your religious beliefs or have you become a scientist, agnostic, or atheist; but you will soon have the necessary information to understand Creation and the existence or non-existence of a Deity. Even if you do not reach your own conclusions, you will be better informed than you were before you read this book.

Book excerpt: One of the Time 100 Best Fantasy Books Of All Time Two men rebel together against tyranny—and then become rivals—in this first sweeping book of an epic fantasy series from Ken Liu, recipient of Hugo, Nebula, and World Fantasy awards. Hailed as one of the best books of 2015 by NPR. Wily, charming Kuni Garu, a bandit, and stern, fearless Mata Zyndu, the son of a deposed duke, seem like polar opposites. Yet, in the uprising against the emperor, the two quickly become the best of friends after a series of adventures fighting against vast conscripted armies, silk-draped airships, and shapeshifting gods. Once the emperor has been overthrown, however, they each find themselves the leader of separate factions—two sides with very different ideas about how the world should be run and the meaning of justice. Fans of intrigue, intimate plots, and action will find a new series to embrace in the Dandelion Dynasty.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This impressive collection of original essays explores the relationship between social conflict and the environment - a topic that has received little attention within criminology. The chapters provide a systematic and comprehensive introduction and overview of conflict situations stemming from human exploitation of environments, as well as the impact of social conflicts on the wellbeing and health of specific species and ecosystems. Largely informed by green criminology perspectives, the chapters in the book are intended to stimulate new understandings of the relationships between humans and nature through critical evaluation of environmental destruction and degradation associated with social conflicts occurring around the world. With a goal of creating a typology of environment-social conflict relationships useful for green criminological research, this study is essential reading for scholars and academics in criminology, as well as those interested in crime, law and justice.
