Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This textbook introduces new business concepts on cloud environments such as secure, scalable anonymity and practical payment protocols for the Internet of things and Blockchain technology. The protocol uses electronic cash for payment transactions. In this new protocol, from the viewpoint of banks, consumers can improve anonymity if they are worried about disclosure of their identities in the cloud. Currently, there is not a book available that has reported the techniques covering the protocols with anonymizations and Blockchain technology. Thus this will be a useful book for universities to purchase. This textbook provides new direction for access control management and online business, with new challenges within Blockchain technology that may arise in cloud environments. One is related to the authorization granting process. For example, when a role is granted to a user, this role may conflict with other roles of the user or together with this role; the user may have or derive a high level of authority. Another is related to authorization revocation. For instance, when a role is revoked from a user, the user may still have the role. Experts will get benefits from these challenges through the developed methodology for authorization granting algorithm, and weak revocation and strong revocation algorithms.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cloud Computing has changed how computing is done as applications and services are being consumed from the cloud. It has attracted a lot of attention in recent times due to the opportunities it offers. While Cloud Computing is economical, the security challenges it poses are quite significant and this has affected the adoption rate of the technology. With the potential vulnerabilities being introduced by moving data to the cloud, it has become imperative for cloud service providers to guarantee the security of information, leaving cloud service consumers (e.g., enterprises) with the task of negotiating the terms and conditions of services provided by the cloud service providers as well as trusting them with their data. Although various security solutions used for addressing the security of data within the enterprises are now being applied to the cloud, these security solutions are challenged due to the dynamic, distributed and complex nature of the cloud technology. This thesis proposes a novel Policy-Based Management (PBM) framework capable of achieving cross-tenant authorization, handling dynamic and anonymous users while reducing the security management task to address cloud security. The framework includes an access control model adapted to the cloud environment that adopts features from role-based, task-based and attribute-based access control frameworks for a fine-grained access control. We demonstrate how this framework can be applied to develop an access control system for an enterprise using cloud services. The framework verifies the correctness of access control policies for cloud security through reasoning technique.

The authors are mathematicians and specialists in data modeling and security. Experience of scientific collaboration with industry inspired the authors to attempt to conceptualize the common processes and strategies in cloud security, in order to make security system deployment as simple and transparent as possible. The deployment is broken into several essential steps that allow the functionality of security architecture for any cloud to be split into a set of modules. The continuous verification of security support on all levels (data, processes and communication channels) helps to avoid common security breaches and protect against the most dangerous attacks. Additionally, performing the proposed optimization of the selected set of mechanisms will enhance the efficiency of the security system.
