Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a translation of the Greek New Testament with the following features: 1) Each potential parsing of each verb, participle, and infinitive presented in an interlinear format 2) English tenses used that match the Greek tenses 3) Greek nouns that are not made into English verbs (and vice versa) 4) Brackets indicating the words added into the translation 5) Two parsing keys and a page of symbols, abbreviations, and words As a graduate of a non-denominational Bible college and an inter-denominational seminary, the author did not play favorites with any theological school of thought. He strove to find a balance between Greek accuracy and English readability. The following Greek texts were used: the United Bible Societies' Greek New Testament, 4th Edition and the Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum, 26th edition. The author is able to overcome the poor quality of the Greek texts used by sixteenth- and seventeenth-century English translators. Yet, it is very difficult for Bible teachers and Pastors to overcome the traditional words used in these early translations that are so very misleading to English Bible readers. How were "experts" in Latin able to translate their Greek text (and Hebrew) and still be given credit today for being "conservatives?" Many Greek students think that the Greek words have only one parsing (example: mood, tense, voice, etc.). Unfortunately, some preachers speak dogmatically about a Greek word while leaving out the other potential parsing that that particular verb may have. Please honor God's inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed Word by doing a professional job of research and study. Consider the eternal consequences for all speaking and all listening!

Book excerpt: The Greek text of the New Testament, as prepared by F.H.A. Scrivener, with a gloss of words used thirty times or less in the margins. This edition also features the preface to the 1633 Novum Testamentum Graece, translated from the original Latin. From the publisher: "The publishers of this edition of the Greek New Testament appeal to our Reformed and Evangelical brethren to return to holding fast the Received Text of Scripture. Let all seekers of knowledge examine the growing body of argumentation in defense of the specific readings of the Received Text. Let defenders of the canon of sixty-six books received by the Church defend the traditional text of those books. Let proponents of the Masoretic text of the Old Testament, whose deserved place of primacy may soon be challenged, affirm a position of consistency in standing on the Received Text of the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments. Let apologists for Christian orthodoxy refuse to cede to cults and false prophets the idea that the Christian Church throughout history used a corrupted original-language Bible in need of revision through new light. Let them rather defend the historic Scriptural text as a part of the defense of historic Christianity. Let all lovers of the peace and unity of the church contend that our common Head and Savior has not failed to preserve the text of the Bible, once for all laid up for safe keeping in the bosom of his Church. And let all men pray that God would continue to bless the proclamation of this preserved text of Scripture throughout the world, to the conversion of many souls, the sanctification of his redeemed people and the resounding praise of Christ's glory."

Book excerpt: This revised and expanded edition of a classic grammar includes a variety of improvements: additional examples, expanded paradigms and glossaries, a new section on English grammar, assignment layout, and a parsing guide. The Genealogy of a Greek Grammar Robertson--Davis--Beaman--Shackelford A. T. Robertson ('A Grammar of the Greek New Testament in the Light of Historical Research,' 2d ed. 1915) taught in the New Testament department at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville from 1890 to 1934. William Hersey Davis was one of his students. In fact, Robertson remarked that Davis was the most brilliant student of Greek that I ever had. Davis taught for thirty years (1920Ð50) at Southern Seminary and co-authored with Robertson an intermediate grammar, 'A New Short Grammar of the Greek Testament' (1931). In Davis's classes was Roy O. Beaman. Beaman taught at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for twenty-two years. He taught at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary from 1972 to 1992. In Beaman's classes was David G. Shackelford, the editor and reviser of this grammar. Shackelford joined the faculty of Mid-America Seminary in 1988.
