Book excerpt: When you open your heart’s window, everyday moments transform into the magical. A Heart’s Window is a collection of rhyming and free verse poetry, reading like a story. It explores the magic of subtle moments, navigating from family and friendship to love, loss, and the wonder of nature. Although heartache is not ignored, the focus of the collection is on the light that stands in contrast to the shadows. Each poem is accompanied with an image, a further reflection on the themes of love, loss, and nature. This poetry is relatable, universal, and encourages hope, strength, and the beautiful moments that make up each day. Inspired by the author’s own experiences along with people she encounters, this compilation strives for beauty, while wading through the waves of disappointment and heartache.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I started writing poetry at a young age and this collection is an insight into the experiences that have had an influence upon my life. My poetry reflects my thoughts and feelings on many different subjects and just as they say ‘the eyes are the window to the soul’, my poems, in essence are ‘the window to my heart’. There are dedications within for my dear ones, friends and family, without whom my life would be an empty thing. There are humorous rhymes and rambling reminiscences among these works and other ponderings reflecting the changing seasons of my life. I hope that the reader will find some enjoyment whilst taking a peep through the window and this alone will be my reward.

Book Synopsis Windows to the Heart of People of Faith by : Chris Anianwu
Download or read book Windows to the Heart of People of Faith written by Chris Anianwu and published by eBookIt.com. This book was released on 2013-04 with total page 85 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The people who wrote their names in gold in the sight of God were people of faith. Those ordinary people changed their world by believing God in the face of incredible odds. Each of them passed through unimaginable circumstances but because they held unto God, He moved in their favor. To prove God as they did or to excel their exploits in the field of faith, it is important for us to peep into their mindset when they were in the eyes of the storms of life. The problem is that if we fail to walk in faith, we miss God. On the other hand, if we fail to learn from people of faith, we stand to lose. A close look at what people of faith said or did when they were in the battlefield will help anybody who wants to travel far with God. A good understanding of how they were feeling and proper appropriation to our circumstances will give us the much needed victory. If they succeeded with few examples to guide them, we can do better. The ball is in our court.

Download or read book A Window Into the Heart of God written by Martin Davis and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2016-03-09 with total page 38 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The cross of Christ is the ultimate demonstration of God's unfailing love for humanity. To know that "God is love," we need only look at Jesus on the cross, for in that act, Jesus, who is "of one being with the Father," reveals the heart of God. According to the great Scottish theologian, T. F. Torrance, the cross is a "window into the innermost heart of God," wherein we see the exact nature of God's love for the whole world. In giving himself for us on the cross, God proves that he loves us more than he loves himself (from "A Window into the Heart of God"). Across the globe, there is an awakening to the reality of God's love for all humanity, as revealed in Jesus Christ. Happily, more and more writers today are bringing the good news to a world in profound need of hearing the joyful message that animated the early Christians and empowered them to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ all over the known world. "A Window into the Heart of God" is the first booklet in the author's "Good News Series." In this series of short works, the author joins the many writers today who are finally "putting the good news back into the Gospel!"

Book Synopsis Heart Like a Window, Mouth Like a Cliff by : Sara Borjas
Download or read book Heart Like a Window, Mouth Like a Cliff written by Sara Borjas and published by Noemi Press. This book was released on 2019 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Poetry. California Interest. Latinx Studies. HEART LIKE A WINDOW, MOUTH LIKE A CLIFF is a transgressive, yet surprisingly tender confrontation of what it means to want to flee the thing you need most. The speaker struggles through cultural assimilation and the pressure to "act" Mexican while dreaming of the privileges of whiteness. Borjas holds cultural traditions accountable for the gendered denial of Chicanas to individuate and love deeply without allowing one's love to consume the self. This is nothing new. This is colonization working through relationships within Chicanx families--how we learn love and perform it, how we filter it though alcohol abuse--how ultimately, we oppress the people we love most. This collection simultaneously reveres and destroys nostalgia, slips out of the story after a party where the reader can find God "drunk and dreaming." Think golden oldiez meets the punk attitude of No Doubt. Think pochas sipping gin martinis in lowriders cruising down Who Gives a Fuck Boulevard.

Book Synopsis ECG Based Analysis of the Ventricular Repolarisation in the Human Heart by : Baas, Tobias
Download or read book ECG Based Analysis of the Ventricular Repolarisation in the Human Heart written by Baas, Tobias and published by KIT Scientific Publishing. This book was released on 2012-08-06 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ECG recordings provide diagnostic relevant information on the de- and repolarisation sequences of the heart. A modification of the repolarisation sequence is assumed to cause Torsades de Pointes. Especially drug induced effects on the repolarisation processes are in focus, since some non-cardiac drugs have been associated with sudden cardiac death in the 1990s.The analysis of the ventricular repolarisation using a set of parameters depicting the morphology of the T-wave is introduced in this work. Therefore, new methods of fully automatic patient-specific QRS detection, beat classification and precise T-wave delineation are presented. Using these methods, medical studies are investigated regarding the modification of the T-wave by different compounds. Also the impact of the heart rate on the morphology of the T-wave is part of this research. The reliable identification of ventricular ectopic beats allows an analysis of the influence of these beats on subsequent heart beats. It turned out that the morphology of subsequent heart beats can significantly be changed. This might give new information on the proarrythmical risk of ventricular ectopic beats.
