It is particularly meant for anyone who has come face to face with their own humanity, like David or Simon Peter. This book details the true promises of God that will take you from that desparate place of brokenness to a place of joy, peace and fruitfulness for Christ. In it you will be reminded that God has orchestrated your life, every detail of it just like David proclaimed in Psalm 139.

This book was released on 2017-12-03 with total page 56 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Welcome! This book, A Broken Spirit, a Contrite Heart, is book #8 in my Hiking the Trail of Truth series. I have received several requests regarding the subject matter, which material covers an in depth look for all of those who are willing and want to learn and to understand what God requires of them. And what does God require of you? Moses once answered, "To fear the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the Lord's commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you this day for your good" (Deuteronomy 10:12,13). Micah completes this thought by saying that one is required to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8). These are indeed spiritual sacrifices, not physical ones as were required under the old law. Jesus of course made the ultimate sacrifice, yet we as individuals are required to make important sacrifices as well, which is why this book was written. Our most essential sacrifice? The psalmist makes it clear: "O, Lord open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise. For you do not desire sacrifice (physical) or I would give it. You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart-These, O God, You will not despise (Psalm 51:15-17). Let us hike this section of the trail of truth together, dear reader, and let us endeavor to understand the depth and importance of this particular sacrifice required of us...a broken spirit, a contrite heart... Sincerely, M S Taylor

Download or read book A Fourfold Salvation written by Arthur W. Pink and published by . This book was released on 2011-02-01 with total page 50 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Salvation is of eternal importance yet it is very often misunderstood. In A Fourfold Salvation Author W. Pink addresses the subject of salvation by addressing; Salvation from the Pleasure of Sin, Salvation from the Penalty of Sin, Salvation from the Power of Sin, and Salvation from the Presence of Sin. "Ask the average Christian, Are you saved? and he answers, Yes, I was saved in such and such a year; and that is as far as his thoughts on the subject go. Ask him, To what do you owe your salvation? and "the finished work of Christ" is the sum of his reply. Tell him that each of those answers is seriously defective, and he strongly resents your aspersion." Arthur Walkington Pink was an English Christian evangelist and Biblical scholar known for his staunchly Calvinist and Puritan-like teachings. Though born to Christian parents, prior to conversion he migrated into a Theosophical society (an occult gnostic group popular in England during that time), and quickly rose in prominence within their ranks. His conversion came from his father's patient admonitions from Scripture. It was the verse, Proverbs 14:12, 'there is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death, ' which particularly struck his heart and compelled him to renounce Theosophy and follow Jesus.

Isn’t it true—we really don’t know someone until we understand what makes that person happy? And so it is with God! What does bring delight to the happiest Being in the universe? John Piper writes, that it’s only when we know what makes God glad that we’ll know the greatness of His glory. Therefore, we must comprehend “the pleasures of God.” Unlike so much of what is written today, this is not a book about us. It is about the One we were made for—God Himself. In this theological masterpiece—chosen by World Magazine as one of the 20th Century’s top 100 books, John Piper reveals the biblical evidence to help us see and savor what the pleasures of God show us about Him. Then we will be able to drink deeply—and satisfyingly—from the only well that offers living water. What followers of Jesus need now, more than anything else, is to know and love—behold and embrace—the great, glorious, sovereign, happy God of the Bible. “This is a unique and precious book that everybody should read more than once.” —J.I. PACKER, Regent College, Vancouver, British Columbia

Book Synopsis The Acceptable Sacrifice by : John Bunyan
Download or read book The Acceptable Sacrifice written by John Bunyan and published by . This book was released on 2013 with total page 101 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In John Bunyan's book, Acceptable Sacrifice, he addresses the question, what can man bring to God which will be excellent and acceptable in His sight? Bunyan's answer may surprise us -- a broken and contrite heart. This is the "acceptable sacrifice" of the title. In this moving exposition of Psalm 51:17, the last work which he prepared for the press, Bunyan shows from Scripture why a broken heart is so acceptable to God. He characterizes the unbroken heart of man, showing why it must be made contrite, and explains the nature of the change which is involved. He also guides the reader in discerning whether this change has taken place, and shows how the heart, once broken, can be kept tender. - Banner of Truth.
