Others who have read this book have said: "Well that is probably the deepest book on Sex I have ever read. Raw, Real, and Revealing." - Letty Donald, Woman of God and Internet Marketing Guru A Must Read For Everyone!! I was given the opportunity to read this book through the generosity of the author Tiffany Domena. I was not sure what to expect based upon the title. It is one of the most important books I've read on human sexuality from a spiritual perspective. There are brief paragraphs at the beginning of each chapter that describe different scenarios one might find themselves in as born-again believers. Tiffany writes from a place of deep truth that is rarely found in books of this kind. I found it to be bold and refreshing. I would recommend this as a study for Sunday School, bible study or small groups. There is vitally important information shared and you would do yourself a huge disservice by not reading this book. I learned a number of things about sexuality God's way. It's time to reclaim this area of our life so that we might be instruments of change in the kingdom. -Tawana Hawkins, Women's Spiritual Growth Mentor DOWNLOAD YOUR COPY NOW!

Download or read book How Claims Spread written by Joel Best and published by Transaction Publishers. This book was released on with total page 318 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Best's anthology examines for the first time how diverse social issues--road rage, the metric system, gun control, and abortion are among those included--migrate across national boundaries, modifying themselves from place to place as a result of different claims, claimsmakers, and policy responses. This unique collection, assembled from new research by an international group of social problems scholars, will fill a gap in undergraduate and graduate level studies in the constructionist analyses of social problems, as well as in political science, public policy, and criminology. Claims concerning one social problem often influence those about another: claimsmakers borrow rhetoric and tactics from one another. In some cases, experienced claimsmakers join efforts to call attention to other social problems: compelling images (e.g., the threatened child or random violence) link claims about different problems and reactions to one set of claims. These case studies describe very different processes, ranging from deliberate attempts to disseminate social problem claims to developments that were more inadvertent, from successes in which social problem constructions spread to new countries to failures in which claims were sown, but failed to take root. They are intended to suggest that the diffusion of social problems is neither simple nor automatic. Joel Best is professor and chair, Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice, University of Delaware. He has served as an editorial advisor for Aldine that has produced fifty titles.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: div When it was published twenty-five years ago, Catharine MacKinnon’s pathbreaking work Sexual Harassment of Working Women had a major impact on the development of sexual harassment law. The U.S. Supreme Court accepted her theory of sexual harassment in 1986. Here MacKinnon collaborates with eminent authorities to appraise what has been accomplished in the field and what still needs to be done. An introductory essay by Reva Siegel considers how sexual harassment came to be regulated as sex discrimination. Contributors discuss how law can best address sexual harassment; the importance and definition of consent and unwelcomeness; issues of same-sex harassment; questions of institutional responsibility for sexual harassment in both employment and education settings; considerations of freedom of speech; effects of sexual harassment doctrine on gender and racial justice; and transnational approaches to the problem. An afterword by MacKinnon assesses the changes wrought by sexual harassment law in the past quarter century. /DIV

Book excerpt: Illustrated by in-depth empirical research from Kenya – one of the most popular country destinations in Africa for sex tourism – this book gathers much-needed statistics and data, and then critically examines the features of tourism and the sex trade, contextualizing this in relation to tourism development. It addresses the conditions which generate this 'social problem' and, while not taking a potentially problematic moralistic stance it questions whether this trade is exploitative in nature, particularly in cases of child sex tourism. It then critically evaluates the current policies in place to regulate the sex tourism industry and provides suggestions for future direction.
Download or read book Kosher Sex written by Shmuley Boteach and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2023-09-26 with total page 330 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Great sex consists entirely of motions, Kosher Sex consists of motions that elicit lasting emotions. Great sex is an undertaking of two separate bodies, Kosher Sex is two halves of the same whole. Twenty-five years ago, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach's celebrated international bestseller Kosher Sex changed how we view and approach sex, marriage, erotic attraction, and personal relationships by drawing on traditional Jewish wisdom. Based on his extensive experience counseling individuals and couples, the author breaks down sexual taboos and openly yet respectfully discusses the meanings, emotions, and hidden power of sex. With his unique anecdotal style, Rabbi Boteach illustrates each and every point, using real couples who have discovered the joys of "kosher sex"—sex that blends passion and lovers—and suggests revolutionary ways of synthesizing the best that each has to offer. When half of all marriages fail and one third are sexless and platonic, Kosher Sex has an astonishing and electrifying impact.
Book Synopsis The Right to Be Out by : Stuart Biegel
Download or read book The Right to Be Out written by Stuart Biegel and published by U of Minnesota Press. This book was released on 2018-10-23 with total page 555 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An updated edition of this measured, practical, and timely guide to LGBT rights and issues for educators and school officials With ongoing battles over transgender rights, bullying cases in the news almost daily, and marriage equality only recently the law of the land, the information in The Right to Be Out could not be more timely or welcome. In an updated second edition that explores the altered legal terrain of LGBT rights for students and educators, Stuart Biegel offers expert guidance on the most challenging concerns in this fraught context. Taking up the pertinent questions likely to arise regarding curriculum and pedagogy in the classroom, school sports, and transgender issues, Biegel reviews the dramatic legal developments of the past decades, identifies the principles at work, and analyzes the policy considerations that result from these changes. Central to his work is an understanding of the social, political, and personal tensions regarding the nature and extent of the right to be out, which includes both the First Amendment right to express an identity and the Fourteenth Amendment right to be treated equally. Acknowledging that LGBT issues affect people of every sexual orientation and gender identity, Biegel provides a road map of viable strategies for school officials and educators. The Right to Be Out, informed by the latest research-based findings, advances the proposition that a safe and supportive educational environment, built upon shared values and geared toward a greater appreciation of our pluralistic society, can lead to a better world for everyone.
