Ist die zweisprachige Erziehung eine einmalige Chance, eine zweite Sprache auf muttersprachlichem Niveau zu erlernen oder ist es eine unzumutbare Überforderung, so dass das Kind am Ende keine der beiden Sprachen richtig spricht? Daher liegt ein weiterer Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit auf den sprachlichen Problemen der zweisprachigen Erziehung. Welche Probleme haben bilinguale Kinder in ihren Sprachen? Sprechen sie beide Sprachen auf muttersprachlichem Niveau oder sprechen sie eine Mischsprache? Weiterhin sollen mögliche Ursachen für Probleme in den Sprachen näher erläutert und ggf. Vorschläge gemacht werden, wie man als Eltern mit diesen sprachlichen Problemen umgehen kann. Natürlich spielen in bilingualen Familien auch die kulturellen Aspekte eine große Rolle. Um den Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit aber nicht zu sprengen, soll sich lediglich auf die sprachlichen Aspekte der bilingualen Erziehung beschränkt werden.
