Book excerpt: WORLD GOVERNMENT, READY OR NOT! is the first how-to-do-it and how-it-is-being done book on the making of world peace through government of, by, and for the citizens of the world recounted in masterful detail by a veteran of over 50 years experience in the "field." WWII bomber pilot Garry Davis, in 1948 took Emery Reves (Anatomy of Peace) at his word first that "...the ideal of the nation-state is bankrupt.." and second that "There is no first step to world government. World Government is the first step." The eclectic Renaissance Man, stateless World Citizen Davis "lives" the future today treating philosophy, law, economics, travel, space, history and more with equal ease and insight. Moreover, as a world activist, he has seen the inside of over 30 national prisons. E. B.White wrote that "Davis marches to the beat of the Universe while we all march to a broken drum." "The birth pangs of the new world order are already upon us," Davis writes in the Prologue, "and as necessity knows no law but its own, we are too busy attending to that long-heralded and momentous birth to still the shrill cries of infidelity." WORLD GOVERNMENT, READY OR NOT! is a book for the 21st century and beyond.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why would I write about this subject when so many have already covered it? Because God has charged me to write it. You have not read my version with my research. There are Christians and nonbelievers that need to hear this message. This is one of my ways I hope to reach out to encourage and educate Christians and non-Christians alike on the return of Christ Jesus. According to research done by Mark Hitchcock, close to one-third of the Bible is prophetic (Mark Hitchcock, The End, 4). If you are studying or examining anything, you don’t skip out on almost thirty-three percent of the material. This is why study of biblical prophetic signs is so important. With God focusing this much of His Word on this subject, I feel prophecy and its accompanying signs are a must study for Christians. So why believe and teach in a literal return of Jesus Christ? He promised to return for me and all the rest who truly believe in Him. The prophetic accuracy concerning Christ’s first visitation to all of us was faultless. He is faithful; His name is Faithful and True. Besides these main points, the benefits of being part of God’s kingdom now are enormous, but there are future benefits that far outweigh our earthly sufferings. Those benefits await true believers in Christ when He comes to collect His bride, The Church. If I do not meet you here on earth, I hope to meet you in Heaven.

Rapture Ready...or Not is for this generation of readers who are confused and look upon a world that seems to have destroyed opportunity for a bright, abundant future. The Rapture is about to catastrophically strike an unsuspecting world of both unbelievers and believers. Jesus Christ is the Shelter from the coming Tribulation storm of God’s wrath and judgment.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is the Internet erasing national borders? Will the future of the Net be set by Internet engineers, rogue programmers, the United Nations, or powerful countries? Who's really in control of what's happening on the Net? In this provocative new book, Jack Goldsmith and Tim Wu tell the fascinating story of the Internet's challenge to governmental rule in the 1990s, and the ensuing battles with governments around the world. It's a book about the fate of one idea--that the Internet might liberate us forever from government, borders, and even our physical selves. We learn of Google's struggles with the French government and Yahoo's capitulation to the Chinese regime; of how the European Union sets privacy standards on the Net for the entire world; and of eBay's struggles with fraud and how it slowly learned to trust the FBI. In a decade of events the original vision is uprooted, as governments time and time again assert their power to direct the future of the Internet. The destiny of the Internet over the next decades, argue Goldsmith and Wu, will reflect the interests of powerful nations and the conflicts within and between them. While acknowledging the many attractions of the earliest visions of the Internet, the authors describe the new order, and speaking to both its surprising virtues and unavoidable vices. Far from destroying the Internet, the experience of the last decade has lead to a quiet rediscovery of some of the oldest functions and justifications for territorial government. While territorial governments have unavoidable problems, it has proven hard to replace what legitimacy governments have, and harder yet to replace the system of rule of law that controls the unchecked evils of anarchy. While the Net will change some of the ways that territorial states govern, it will not diminish the oldest and most fundamental roles of government and challenges of governance. Well written and filled with fascinating examples, including colorful portraits of many key players in Internet history, this is a work that is bound to stir heated debate in the cyberspace community.

Christensen invites you to follow along as he presents his case for Limited World Government as the only way to deal with the following three intertwined global issues: War and Militarization Corporate Globalization The Need for a Sustainable Balance between the Earth and the Human Family In addition to identifying three key problems of our time, Christensen includes a brief history of peace plans, the evolution of international cooperation over the last two centuries, and the League of Nations and the United Nations. Book excerpt: Management consultant Kenichi Ohmae describes the new reality of global economic competition as a 'borderless world'. What is the future of human values, and of environmental quality, in such a world? The authors whose work is collected in Surviving Globalism try to answer these questions from the point of view of sociology, social history, philosophy, geography and political theory. Many argue that the gains made over the last few decades in terms of social justice and environmental protection are in grave peril. Others take a somewhat more optimistic note, but all emphasize the importance of dealing with environmental and social policy against the background of a transforming global economy.

Macrobiotic approaches to cancer, heart disease, and other degenerative disorders have evolved and expanded, as have basic home care and lifestyle recommendations. This revised edition of The Book of Macrobiotics also includes a new chapter on the Spiritual World; new material on Yin and Yang and the Five Transformations, Man/Woman Relations, and Humanity's Origin and Destiny; and an annotated East West Reading List. Many new illustrations have been furnished, and the Food Composition tables have been expanded to include nutritional information on dozens of additional foods, including tempeh, seitan, rice cakes, and amazake. Here, for a new generation, is a beautifully revised and updated version of a macrobiotic classic.

This book was released on 2016-02-10 with total page 614 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first volume of Greed Unbound is about the ways elites siphoned off value from workers in the early Neolithic farming and herding societies. In the broadest terms, it highlights the consequences of greed in officialdom, the offices of kin groups, cults, secret societies, and chiefdoms. Greed in all of these groups has consistently led to severe inequality. Prior to the Agricultural Revolution inequality had been held in check, being restricted to such things as respect for the elderly and male chauvinism. In the mild inequality of the Long Paleolithic, no one person or faction could siphon value from the labor of others. But all that changed once food was stored in farming societies, allowing greedy chiefs to exploit the common people-in stark contrast to the egalitarian nature of life before the development of stored wealth. With the change, exploitation flourished, as did warfare and mystical institutions that functioned to mislead and appease the masses.

Book excerpt: "The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic marks the most significant, singular global disruption since World War II, with health, economic, political, and security implications that will ripple for years to come." -Global Trends 2040 (2021) Global Trends 2040-A More Contested World (2021), released by the US National Intelligence Council, is the latest report in its series of reports starting in 1997 about megatrends and the world's future. This report, strongly influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, paints a bleak picture of the future and describes a contested, fragmented and turbulent world. It specifically discusses the four main trends that will shape tomorrow's world: - Demographics-by 2040, 1.4 billion people will be added mostly in Africa and South Asia. - Economics-increased government debt and concentrated economic power will escalate problems for the poor and middleclass. - Climate-a hotter world will increase water, food, and health insecurity. - Technology-the emergence of new technologies could both solve and cause problems for human life. Students of trends, policymakers, entrepreneurs, academics, journalists and anyone eager for a glimpse into the next decades, will find this report, with colored graphs, essential reading.
