Eine Betrachtung der Ist-Situation des Umgangs mit Wissen in mittelständischen Unternehmen und der Vergleich zu den theoretischen Erkenntnissen, scheint eine notwendige Grundlage zu sein, auf der mittelstandsbezogene Wissensmanagement-Konzepte entwickelt werden können. Gang der Untersuchung: Daher besteht die Diplomarbeit aus zwei Teilen. In Teil 1 wird das Themengebiet Wissensmanagement über eine Literaturanalyse untersucht. Im zweiten Teil wird über eine qualitativ-empirische Untersuchung der Umgang mit der Ressource Wissen in mittelständischen Unternehmen betrachtet und in bezug zu den theoretischen Erkenntnissen sowie anderen Untersuchungen ausgewertet. Die Untersuchung basiert auf 15 qualitativen Leitfadeninterviews, die in 14 mittelständischen Unternehmen aus verschiedenen Branchen erstellt worden.
