But… She Has a Boyfriend! is a nostalgic “college love” story of two teenage students – Rohan, a boy of simple taste and mediocre sense of humour and Aditi, a girl who has everything: beauty, brains, compassion, sense of humour and also a BOYFRIEND! Aditi is blindly in love with her boyfriend who, according to Rohan, doesn’t deserve her, of course! Rohan, on the other hand, is determined to prove his love for Aditi and show her that she is not loved the way she deserves to be loved. The paths of these two intertwine in the most unpredictable of ways and what entails is a turbulent yet light-hearted journey of falling in love, the ups and downs of being in love with someone you can’t have, the pains and the heartbreaks, the cute chats and talks, and of course, the memorable college days that would make anyone revisit that golden time of their lives. This is not a love story… this is a story about love!

Book Synopsis Augustine on the Will by : Han-Luen Kantzer Komline
Download or read book Augustine on the Will written by Han-Luen Kantzer Komline and published by Oxford Studies in Historical T. This book was released on 2020 with total page 493 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "By analyzing a variety of texts from across Augustine's career, Augustine on the Will: A Theological Account traces the development of Augustine's thinking on the human will. Augustine's most creative contributions to the notion of the human will do not derive from articulating a monolithic, universal definition. He identifies four types of human will: the created will, which he describes as a hinge; the fallen will, a link in a chain binding human beings to sin; the redeemed will, which is a root of love; and the fully free will to be enjoyed in the next life when perfection is made complete. His mature view is "theologically differentiated," consisting of four distinct types of human will, which vary according to these diverse theological scenarios. His innovation consists in distinguishing these types with a detail and clarity unprecedented by any thinker before him. Augustine's mature view of the will is constructed in intensive dialogue with other Christian thinkers, and, most of all, with the Christian scriptures. Its basic features shape, and are shaped by, his doctrines of Christ and the Holy Spirit, as well as creation and grace, making it impossible to abstract his views on willing from his account of the central Christian doctrines of Christology, Pneumatology, and the Trinity. The multiple facets of Augustine's conception of will have been cut to fit the shape of his theology and the biblical story it seeks to describe. From Augustine, we inherit a theological account of the will. Augustine Will Free will Voluntas Uoluntas Grace Fall creation eschaton Christ"--
Book Synopsis The Greek Hoplite Phalanx by : Richard Taylor
Download or read book The Greek Hoplite Phalanx written by Richard Taylor and published by Pen and Sword Military. This book was released on 2022-01-31 with total page 545 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Greek hoplite and the phalanx formation in which he fought have been the subject of considerable academic debate over the past century. Dr Richard Taylor provides an overview of the current state of play in the hoplite debate in all its aspects, from fighting techniques to the social and economic background of the ‘hoplite revolution’, in a form that is accessible for the general reader and military history enthusiast. But the book goes further: offering a new perspective on the hoplite phalanx by putting it in the context of other military developments in the Mediterranean world in the middle of the first millennium BC. He argues that the Greek phalanx was different in degree but not in kind from other contemporary heavy infantry formations and that the hoplite debate, with its insistence on the unique nature of the hoplite phalanx, has obscured the similarities with other equivalent formations. The result is a fresh take on a perennially popular subject.
Book Synopsis Women Give Men Too Much Power by : Charlotte Hall
Download or read book Women Give Men Too Much Power written by Charlotte Hall and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2010-04-23 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A thought-provoking, enlightening, and empowering read awaits readers, especially women, as author Charlotte Hall shares how Women Give Men Too Much Power and lose themselves in the process. Because some men tend to forget to tell the truth always, the author takes on this task to help her fellow females stand up against or let go of things—or in this case, men—that try to destroy and disrupt their lives. This book is about real issues that face women and family. It gives a perspective focusing on the ugliness that men don’t want to confront: being the head of the household, keeping in-laws in check, being intimidated by successful women, if men would become successful in the things of God, they would know how to treat women right, loving and respecting her like royalty, and more. There are only two types of men: the faithful and the unfaithful. There’s no in-between. And in this book, the author talks about purpose and addresses when to run for the hills. This is a personally intimate talk, woman to woman, heart to heart. She shares all the important concerns, from knowing who the man is, the type of man he is, the abuse and healing, and so much more. “One of my strongest attributes is the fact that I can take accountability for my failures. The people who fooled me who lied to get what they wanted, who didn’t love me or could care less if I live or die, sometimes it hurt. At other times I avoided the obvious so I didn’t have to deal with it, hoping that it would go away, but it doesn’t. Confession will destroy pride and humble you so you can help others not to make the same mistakes,” says Hall as she explains the reason she wrote this book. Women Give Men Too Much Power aims to help, enlighten, uplift, inspire, heal, and move others.
