In this debut novel that’s perfect for fans of Jenny Han and Morgan Matson, Marisa Kanter hilariously and poignantly explores what happens when internet friends turn into IRL crushes. Is it still a love triangle if there are only two people in it? There are a million things that Halle Levitt likes about her online best friend, Nash. He’s an incredibly talented graphic novelist. He loves books almost as much as she does. And she never has to deal with the awkwardness of seeing him in real life. They can talk about anything… Except who she really is. Because online, Halle isn’t Halle—she’s Kels, the enigmatically cool creator of One True Pastry, a YA book blog that pairs epic custom cupcakes with covers and reviews. Kels has everything Halle doesn’t: friends, a growing platform, tons of confidence, and Nash. That is, until Halle arrives to spend senior year in Gramps’s small town and finds herself face-to-face with real, human, not-behind-a-screen Nash. Nash, who is somehow everywhere she goes—in her classes, at the bakery, even at synagogue. Nash who has no idea she’s actually Kels. If Halle tells him who she is, it will ruin the non-awkward magic of their digital friendship. Not telling him though, means it can never be anything more. Because while she starts to fall for Nash as Halle…he’s in love with Kels.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The bestselling, beloved classic on how to go into the dark side of yourself to bring out the light -- now with new material. Debbie Ford believes that we each hold within us a trace of every human characteristic that exists, the capacity for every human emotion. We are born with the ability to express this entire spectrum of characteristics. But, Ford points out, our families and our society send us strong messages about which ones are good and bad. So when certain impulses arise, we deny them instead of confronting them, giving them a healthy voice, then letting them go. It is to these feelings that Ford turns our attention, these parts of our selves that don't fit the personae we have created for the rest of the world. She shows us the effects of living in the dark, of keeping all our supposedly unsavory impulses under wraps. We find ourselves disproportionately frustrated and angry at the selfishness of friends, the laziness of colleagues, the arrogance of siblings. When we are unable to reconcile similar impulses in ourselves, Ford explains, we waste our own energy judging others instead of empathizing. But most important, we deny ourselves the power and freedom of living authentically. Through the stories and exercises in The Dark Side of the Light Chasers, Debbie Ford shows us not only how to recognize our hidden emotions, but also how to find the gifts they offer us. This is for fans of Marianne Williamson, Neale Donald Walsch, and Deepak Chopra. The very impulses we most fear may be the key to what is lacking in our lives.

Book excerpt: Current and comprehensive information concerning the assessment and treatment of suicidal persons and the prevention of suicidal behavior The eighth leading cause of death in the United States and the second leading cause among U.S. teens, suicide is unique in being self-inflicted and is, as such, often preventable. By assessing the risk of suicide accurately, providing effective treatment according to this risk, and implementing strategies against suicidal urges, mental health professionals can successfully guide their clients away from this senseless taking of life. Assessment, Treatment, and Prevention of Suicidal Behavior provides the most current and comprehensive source of information, guidelines, and case studies for working with clients at risk of suicide. It offers clinicians, counselors, and other mental health professionals a practical toolbox on three main areas of interest: Screening and Assessment covers empirically based assessment techniques and how they can define dimensions of vulnerability and measure the risk of self-destructive behavior. Authors discuss research on the use of each screening instrument, guidelines and suggestions for using the instrument in practice, and a case study illustrating its application. Intervention and Treatment compares several different approaches for structuring psychotherapy with suicidal clients. Each author covers a psychotherapy system, its application to suicidal clients, and a case study of its real-world use. Suicide and Violence explores the relationship between suicidal individuals and violence, covering suicide in specific contexts such as school violence, police confrontations, and terrorist violence. This section also includes a discussion of the increased risk of suicide in our more insecure and violent world, as well as how topromote coping styles for these new anxieties. While addressed mainly to psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals for use in serving their clients, as well as students of psychology, Assessment, Treatment, and Prevention of Suicidal Behavior is also an accessible and valuable resource for educators, school counselors, and others in related fields.

Book excerpt: God is there to save you from harm. The devil can’t take no more then you can’t ever have in life on what you can have is yours in life who stands by the great waterfalls of life stands for ups and downs everything is meant for a reason because you wonder why your life is so block from others because something maybe missing in order to put common sense together which was unsaid and done that needs to be done. so you cherish the memory of that day of your life every stone you can ever take and every breath in your body, give it to god and glory and take a deep breath and praise God. Trials must be mistaken because whatever you do or whatever you did, it must be something or what you did needs to be fixed and prepared of a dislike compare to or a distance. A distance is a challenge, of course, or a state of mind. What people do for a living is the unit of life. It’s the bad things that you do that makes trials go wrong and bad rather then right. One way it is or another, and one way it doesn’t. What you do or what you don’t do, you pick up the pieces of the puzzles and get it right on time, on the dot and line, and you take a piece of the pie—what you like and dislike and show and prove the way you want it. You talk about the good old times, and sometimes, it’s about the wrong times of your life and the things you did in the past, whether it be good or bad in your wildest dream life. You take that and swipe your shoulders off. The greater it is, the badder it maybe. It can be fixable that same day or a couple of days a head. Trouble don’t last always and not for long. That’s how it works and what should be done, and you take it and fix everything that has been broken. You stand forward to that and be strong and have strength, and whatever that needs to be done and whatever that it is you can’t do, you don’t have to do it or put up with it. Be yourself and do all that you can do as possible, and that’s all you can do. You cannot please everyone because it’s gonna have a passing moment when you can do something or not and you will be tired of it. It also includes fatal attraction, breaking relationships, tragedies, boo thangs, lover and friends, blessings, curses, magic spells, cast of spells, Buddhism, voodoo, and many more.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reality has seven letters which is common to the generality of human existence and it is the medium through which the literal meaning of life are unraveled to us but when given keen glances, it is ideally related to seven days of the week we are globally familiar with and several secrets of life that are noteworthy and will be mind-blowing to us when discovered. This number connotes perfection in Hebrew linguistic parlance but expedient enough to have prompt sensitivity into its nature (enquiry, cause and effect), which brought about the constant need to understudy unfamiliar forces in our everyday engagement. These forces are realities that has been dominating the affairs of man since the time of creation, they are cogent factors that are associated with the complexities of modern experience like the consumables we utilize daily and the facts that are yet to be known as time advances becoming days, turning into months and years that culminated in history. These forces kept repeating themselves without prior or later awareness of what we are going through, let alone discover solutions to proffer in order to keep escaping what isn’t glaring. To us, it is life – an unrealized entity for that matter and we are living it to the fullest. The book series “the hidden realities of life” volume 1 is a change of perspective from the usual; a call to action that can help retrace the steps of man towards the right path; a great eye opener for individuals who want to keep sharpening their sight for improved perception; an enabler to stand out by remaining on the shoulders of many giants (great predecessors); and immense records of some of the limitations of man with experimented tips to keep avoiding invincible loopholes in life which necessitated the disclosure of uncommon realities that has been made obvious in this exposition.
