Download or read book Justice et sorcellerie written by and published by KARTHALA Editions. This book was released on 2006 with total page 388 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Traité de sorcellerie by : Édouard Brasey
Download or read book Traité de sorcellerie written by Édouard Brasey and published by Le Pré aux Clercs. This book was released on 2011-10-20 with total page 434 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis The Blood of Jesus Christ by : Andre Ngambu
Download or read book The Blood of Jesus Christ written by Andre Ngambu and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2017-06-19 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In spiritual warfare, the Blood of Jesus Christ is a very powerful weapon that gives us victory over satan and all his acolytes. It is both an offensive and defensive weapon. We have a lot of authority before satan and his henchmen when we declare that "Satan is defeated by the blood of Jesus Christ" and to this all his accusations lose power. The Word of God declares: Revelation 12:11 they triumphed over him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives until they feared death. We will win this victory only when we decide to live in the certainties gained by the work accomplished at the cross by the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, faith must be fully active in our lives. Does your prayer life reflect the kind of relationship you have with God through the blood of His Son? In this manual you will learn how and when to use the blood of Jesus Christ in different circumstances of your daily life in order to find divine protection.
Book Synopsis The Violence of Modernity by : Debarati Sanyal
Download or read book The Violence of Modernity written by Debarati Sanyal and published by JHU Press. This book was released on 2020-03-03 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Violence of Modernity turns to Charles Baudelaire, one of the most canonical figures of literary modernism, in order to reclaim an aesthetic legacy for ethical inquiry and historical critique. Works of modern literature are commonly theorized as symptomatic responses to the trauma of history. In a climate that tends to privilege crisis over critique, Debarati Sanyal argues that it is urgent to rethink literary experience in terms that recall its contestatory potential. Examining Baudelaire's poems afresh, she shifts the focus of critical attention toward an account of modernism as an active engagement with violence, specifically the violence of history in nineteenth-century France. Sanyal analyzes a literary current that uses the traditional hallmarks of modernism—irony, intertextuality, self-reflexivity, and formalism—to challenge the historical violence of modernity. Baudelaire and the committed ironists writing in his wake teach us how to read and resist the violence of history, and thereby to challenge the melancholy tenor of our contemporary "wound culture." In a series of provocative readings, Sanyal presents Baudelaire's poetry as an aesthetic form that contests historical violence through rhetorical strategies of complicity, counterviolence, and critique. The book develops a new account of Baudelaire's significance as a modernist by dislodging him both from his traditional status as a practitioner of "art for art's sake" and from his more recent incarnation as the poet of trauma. Following her extended analysis of Baudelaire's poetry, Sanyal in later chapters considers a number of authors influenced by his strategies—including Rachilde, Virginie Despentes, Albert Camus, and Jean-Paul Sartre—to examine the relevance of their interventions for our current climate of trauma and terror. The result is a study that underscores how Baudelaire's legacy continues to energize literary engagements with the violence of modernity.

Book Synopsis Israelis in Conflict by : Adriana Kemp
Download or read book Israelis in Conflict written by Adriana Kemp and published by Liverpool University Press. This book was released on 2014-06-01 with total page 345 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Globalisation and increased cultural heterogeneity have had a major impact on states whose identity has been defined in terms of a single, often socially constructed, allegiance to the state and a single hegemonic ideology. Nowhere are changing notions of identity more prevalent than in Israel, a country whose dominant (Western-Jewish) society has been subject to understanding their past and present in terms of a single ideology of state formation -- Zionism. This book challenges some of the traditional analytical paradigms prevalent in Israeli social science for the past fifty years.
