Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The author untangles a complicated topic and makes it clear and understandable. Filled with illustrative charts, Unveiling Eternity discloses the events of the end times in a simple, chronological, and organized manner. Written in a conversational voice, the author creates a personalized instructional and easy to digest experience for the reader. Referenced Scriptures have been written out into the text to prevent cumbersome back and forth searching from the book to the Bible. Chapters end with a section called Recommended Activities, which serves as a guide for deeper exploration. Much more than a book of the end times, Unveiling Eternity informs the reader on how to interpret the Scriptures using a scholarly methodology. Multiple resources are suggested throughout to aid in further examination of the given focus. An excellent foundational yet profound study for those who have little time to perform the vast amount of research needed to grasp this topic.

Book excerpt: WHAT COULD TERRIFY A STONE-COLD WARRIOR??ONE WORD, LOVE! As an elite soldier, assassin and espionage specialist, Gary Sanders faces danger every day and he's afraid of nothing? Except the words "I love you." Just a hint of commitment expectation has him running for an escape route. Similarly, Holly's preferred method of dating is swiping right on Tinder. By her own admission, she sucks at long term relationships. So, when they're tasked to work undercover together to find a missing priceless artefact at an exclusive Couples Therapy Retreat, things don't go quite to plan. Uncovering the hidden artefact isn't their only problem. Posing as a "real" couple proves dangerous in ways they hadn't bargained for. There's no escape when fiery passion threatens to ignite something intimately more binding between them. Attending mandatory counselling, yoga, group activities and sharing a communal bathroom is bad enough, but when someone makes an attempt on Holly's life, and a Guild operative is also discovered at the retreat, Sanders must step up his game. Finding the artefact is essential to winning the coming battle, but Sanders soon discovers that keeping Holly safe is essential to his own survival.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'Hope for the Earth' explores the viability of an eschatological approach to an ecological theology, spirituality, and praxis in the South African context. The basic intuition of such an eschatological approach is that an environmental praxis can only be empowered on the basis of an adequate understanding of Christian hope. Despair in the face of environmental destruction will inevitably lead to a spirit of resignation. Where, then, can a vision of hope that includes hope for the earth be found? The author proposes a Òroad mapÓ for eschatology based on the observation that eschatology has traditionally responded to three aspects of the human predicament, namely 1) the evil effects of sin; 2) the problem of finitude and transience; and 3) the limitations of human power and knowledge in space (Part A). This analysis is used to fathom the depths of despair as a result of environmental destruction (Part B). The Biblical roots and subsequent history of Christian eschatology are discussed briefly (Part C). Recent contributions in Christian eschatology, ecological theology, cosmology, and South African expressions of hope are explored in depth in search of a vision of hope that includes hope for the earth itself (Part D). The eschatological road map is used to develop a vision of hope for the earth on the basis of a theology of life: life amidst death and destruction, life beyond death and eternal life in the presence of God (Part E). Finally the implications of this vision for an ecological ethos, spirituality, and praxis in the South African context are indicated (Part F).

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This issue of The Ministry contains a complete record of the twelve messages given during the 2007 winter training on the Crystallization-study of 1 and 2 Peter and Jude, held December 24-29 in Anaheim, California. The crucial truth and burden embodied in these twelve messages may be summarized in four statements: (1) In Christ's death we have been separated from sins, and in His resurrection we have been enlivened so that we might live to righteousness under the government of God. (2) We must redeem the time to enjoy Christ as the supreme preciousness of God so that He can build Himself into us to make us His spiritual house and His holy and royal priesthood for the accomplishment of His heart's desire. (3) We should be diligent to pursue the growth and development of the divine life and divine nature for a rich entrance into the eternal kingdom. (4) As we are contending for the faith, enjoying the Blessed Trinity, and taking the way of rapture by giving heed to the prophetic word, our trust is in our precious Lord and God as the One who is able to guard us from stumbling and to set us before His glory without blemish in exultation. These messages are being published immediately following the training in order that they might benefit the saints participating in the many video trainings that are held throughout the earth. The Reports and Announcements section includes two reports related to the Lord's move to Europe and an announcement related to upcoming conferences and trainings.

But how are we to understand this supernatural gift? What does it look like as Christ accomplishes his good work within us? In The Inner Life, Octavious Winslow examines what it means for believers to have the spiritual power of Christ living in them. After looking at how the Spirit of Christ lives in His disciples, Winslow carefully explains how our spiritual life is assaulted, struggles, and regains strength as we travel a difficult but blessed road to our heavenly rest.

We insist that a loving God will provide a trouble-free life. When this does not happen, we blame God for not keeping His side of the bargain. But...God never promises a rose garden! He promised us eternal life. He promised us forgiveness of sins. He promised us He will never leave us or forsake us. Isn’t it time we got real with the real God of the bible? We are being led to publish this work to help Christians unveil themselves before God! Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With Japanese Philosophy: A Sourcebook, readers of English can now access in a single volume the richness and diversity of Japanese philosophy as it has developed throughout history. Leading scholars in the field have translated selections from the writings of more than a hundred philosophical thinkers from all eras and schools of thought, many of them available in English for the first time. The Sourcebook editors have set out to represent the entire Japanese philosophical tradition—not only the broad spectrum of academic philosophy dating from the introduction of Western philosophy in the latter part of the nineteenth century, but also the philosophical ideas of major Japanese traditions of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Shinto. The philosophical significance of each tradition is laid out in an extensive overview, and each selection is accompanied by a brief biographical sketch of its author and helpful information on placing the work in its proper context. The bulk of the supporting material, which comprises nearly a quarter of the volume, is given to original interpretive essays on topics not explicitly covered in other chapters: cultural identity, samurai thought, women philosophers, aesthetics, bioethics. An introductory chapter provides a historical overview of Japanese philosophy and a discussion of the Japanese debate over defining the idea of philosophy, both of which help explain the rationale behind the design of the Sourcebook. An exhaustive glossary of technical terminology, a chronology of authors, and a thematic index are appended. Specialists will find information related to original sources and sinographs for Japanese names and terms in a comprehensive bibliography and general index. Handsomely presented and clearly organized for ease of use, Japanese Philosophy: A Sourcebook will be a cornerstone in Japanese studies for decades to come. It will be an essential reference for anyone interested in traditional or contemporary Japanese culture and the way it has shaped and been shaped by its great thinkers over the centuries.
