Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you ever told yourself -this is my year- only to wake up 365 days later when another New Year, birthday or anniversary comes around - yet nothing's changed? If you answered yes, say hello to Unresolution - a proven system designed to help you break through and achieve the life of your dreams without spending any more time sitting on the sidelines hoping and wishing for something better. You want the truth? New Year's Resolutions don't work. Actually, the entire -this year I promise- mindset leaves well-intentioned people like you worse off, not better. Each year, people watch their self-confidence evaporate because they fell short of their dreams -one more time- - they lose the belief they can make life different, creating a vicious cycle that leads nowhere, fast. How about a better way? Would you like to: -Choose to step into greatness and move forward, regardless of the time in your life; -Strategically design a life on fire, with the purpose, people, places and environments you love; -Achieve your dream results - feeling invigorated and alive; and, -Defeat fear, self-doubt and insecurity, burning them as fuel for your success? Welcome to UnResolution, your new life awaits. Standing on an icy cold football field in January of 2015, Tommy Baker made a decision and uncovered a startling discovery that led him to create a new life, ripping out everything he had known and believed in the process. Through this experience (and the subsequent launch of a platform sharing the principles of success, achievement and fulfillment of the world's top visionaries, athletes and entrepreneurs) - a new paradigm was born. If you're tired of reading self-help books that lead to nowhere... If you're ready to maximize your abilities... If you're frustrated with being a spectator in life... ...this paradigm is for you. Now, it's now in your hands.
Book Synopsis The Two-State Solution by : Ruth Gavison
Download or read book The Two-State Solution written by Ruth Gavison and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2013-06-20 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This timely work, contributed by noted authorities, explains the crucial events in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that led to the UN resolution to partition Palestine into two states on November 29, 1947. The book first analyzes the historical context of UN resolution 181, including the positions and internal debates of the Jewish and Arab parties and of the international community. It then introduces primary sources related to the resolution, such as protocols, letters, reports, and speeches, some of these published for the first time in English. By combining in-depth analyses with such sources, the book provides a rich and comprehensive overview of the subject from a variety of perspectives. It shows that the arguments for a two-state solution, i.e., a Jewish state along a Palestinian state, are as relevant today as they were then. Featuring both Israeli and Palestinian points of view, this significant work renews the debate that has shaped --and is still shaping-- the Arab-Israeli conflict. It will be an essential resource for anyone interested in the past and future of Israel and Palestine.

Book Synopsis Unresolved Issues and New Challenges to the Law of the Sea by : Anastasia Strati

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work analyzes the management of shared fish stocks; protection of the underwater cultural heritage; the possibilities of establishing marine protected areas and other means for safeguarding vulnerable marine ecosystems; the use of the high seas for intelligence as well as recent developments on interdiction of vessels on the high seas. Special emphasis is paid to the role of international courts and tribunals in the progressive development of the law of the sea as well as the ability of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea to accommodate new uses and challenges, such as new concerns, new technological possibilities, in particular, new contexts and functions of established rules. The 1982 Convention seems capable of coping with most of them, although it remains useful to explore its possibilities and limits. This work, covering many aspects, will be useful to anyone interested in the law of the sea.

Book excerpt: When the body of a beautiful young woman is found in the back seat of a new Mercedes on the outskirts of the small central California town of San Timoteo in 1991, Police Chief Paul Thibideaux heads the investigation. Called out of retirement to lead this five-officer police department, Thibideaux is at first stymied by the case. Not only does it take eighteen months to identify the victim, but much of the evidence just doesn’t make sense. The case takes an unusual turn when the dead woman is discovered to be Jennifer Fenland, daughter of Senator H. William Fenland. Jennifer was kidnapped in 1972 and hasn’t been seen since—until her body was left in the Mercedes. Now, Thibideaux must locate evidence from more than twenty years ago. This investigation takes Thibideaux from the world of outlaw bikers to one of the most powerful men in the United States. The police chief relentlessly pursues his quarry while dealing with reluctant prosecutors and interference from the FBI, the Los Angeles Police Department, and a beautiful woman who forces her way into the case. Thibideaux will stop at nothing until he has solved the murder or exhausted every lead.

Book Synopsis Unresolved Tensions by : John Crabtree
Download or read book Unresolved Tensions written by John Crabtree and published by University of Pittsburgh Pre. This book was released on 2008-09-28 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The landslide election of Evo Morales in December 2005 pointed toward a process of accelerated change in Bolivia, forging a path away from globalization and the neoliberal paradigm in favor of greater national control and state intervention. This in turn shifted the power relations of Bolivia's internal politics-beginning with greater inclusion of the indigenous population-and altered the nation's foreign relations. Unresolved Tensions engages this realignment from a variety of analytical perspectives, using the Morales election as a lens through which to reassess Bolivia's contemporary political reality and its relation to a set of deeper historical issues. This volume brings together an expert group of commentators and participants from within the Bolivian political arena to offer diverse perspectives and competing views on issues of ethnicity, regionalism, state-society relations, constitutional reform, economic development, and globalization. In this way, the contributors seek to reassess Bolivia's past, present, and future, consider the ways in which the nation's historical developments flow from these deeper currents, and assess the opportunities and challenges that arise within the new political context.

Book Synopsis The Unresolved National Question in South Africa by : Edward Webster
Download or read book The Unresolved National Question in South Africa written by Edward Webster and published by NYU Press. This book was released on 2017-03-01 with total page 557 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume examines the way in which various strands of left thought have addressed the National Question. The re-emergence of debates on the decolonisation of knowledge has revived interest in the National Question, which began over a century ago and remains unresolved. Tensions that were suppressed and hidden in the past are now being openly debated. Despite this, the goal of one united nation living prosperously under a constitutional democracy remains elusive. This edited volume examines the way in which various strands of left thought have addressed the National Question, especially during the apartheid years, and goes on to discuss its relevance for South Africa today and in the future. Instead of imposing a particular understanding of the National Question, the editors identified a number of political traditions and allowed contributors the freedom to define the question as they believed appropriate - in other words, to explain what they thought was the Unresolved National Question. This has resulted in a rich tapestry of interweaving perceptions. The volume is structured in two parts. The first examines four foundational traditions: Marxism-Leninism (the Colonialism of a Special Type thesis); the Congress tradition; the Trotskyist tradition; and Africanism. The second part explores the various shifts in the debate from the 1960s onwards, and includes chapters on Afrikaner nationalism, ethnic issues, black consciousness, feminism, workerism and constitutionalism. The editors hope that by revisiting the debates not popularly known among the scholarly mainstream, this volume will become a catalyst for an enriched debate on our identity and our future.

This book was released on 2021-04-01 with total page 73 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Odontogenic keratocyst (OKC), also called as Keratocystic odontogenic tumour (KCOT) remains to be an intriguing entity, hitherto. Its paradoxical behavior has always attracted the controversies. It is difficult to understand even for the clinicians and pathologists. The need was felt by the authors of this book to have a simple and clearly outlined book so that everyone who is involved in dealing with this entity; be at graduate, postgraduate or doctoral level gets a fair understanding of the topic. This book provides an overview of nomenclature, classification, recurrence, molecular aspects, and management of OKC/KCOT with emphasis on controversy i.e. whether “OKC/KCOT is Cyst or Tumor”. The attempt has been made to make this dreaded topic an easy going one. There may be few repetitions in the book, which have been done to facilitate understanding among students. Authors welcome the suggestions for improving the further edition of the book.
