Apresenta dados da pesquisa de campo, por amostragem, realizada com pais de estudantes regularmente matriculados e que frequentaram as salas de AEE das escolas municipais lageanas até o ano de 2016, bem como com professores que atuaram nas salas de AEE no período pesquisado. A obra é de relevância social e educacional, porque possibilita reflexão e novos questionamentos quanto à formação de professores para o trabalho de inclusão escolar de pessoas com deficiência(s) e o compromisso com a cidadania.
