Book Synopsis Assessing the Extent of China's Marketization by : Xiaoxi Li
Download or read book Assessing the Extent of China's Marketization written by Xiaoxi Li and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-04-15 with total page 351 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: China is indisputably one of the most dynamic economic regions in the world; however the character, nature and extent of its market economy status remains in question. This book provides an empirical analysis of many aspects of the developing market economy including: government reform; the marketization of enterprises; land transactions; capital transactions and finance; the market determination of wage rates; the development of intermediary organizations; and the improvement in the economy's legal framework. China's economic growth has also brought conflict with both the EU and the US. This book examines the contentious debates such as: the extent of renminbi convertibility; the independence of the financial sector; the freedom of labour in wage-rate bargaining; the extent of foreign investment; the extent of government ownership of enterprises; the protection of property rights; and the development of company law and of corporate governance.

Book Synopsis The Extent of the Literal by : M. Rakova
Download or read book The Extent of the Literal written by M. Rakova and published by Springer. This book was released on 2003-06-24 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Extent of the Literal develops a strikingly new approach to metaphor and polysemy in their relation to the conceptual structure. In a straightforward narrative style, the author argues for a reconsideration of standard assumptions concerning the notion of literal meaning and its relation to conceptual structure. She draws on neurophysiological and psychological experimental data in support of a view in which polysemy belongs to the level of words but not to the level of concepts, and thus challenges some seminal work on metaphor and polysemy within cognitive linguistics, lexical semantics and analytical philosophy.

Book Synopsis The Extent of the Atonement by : David L. Allen
Download or read book The Extent of the Atonement written by David L. Allen and published by B&H Publishing Group. This book was released on 2016-06-01 with total page 921 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The extent of Christ’s atoning work on the cross is one of the most divisive issues in evangelical Christianity. In The Extent of the Atonement: A Historical and Critical Review, David L. Allen makes a biblical, historical, theological, and practical case for a universal atonement. Through a comprehensive historical survey, Allen contends that universal atonement has always been the majority view of Christians, and that even among Calvinist theologians there is a considerable range of views. Marshalling evidence from Scripture and history, and critiquing arguments for a limited atonement, Allen affirms that an unlimited atonement is the best understanding of Christ’s saving work. He concludes by showing that an unlimited atonement provides the best foundation for evangelism, missions, and preaching.

The biological weakness of a woman makes her an easy prey particularly to whom it may concern; physical domination. She is often victim of physical and mental violence not only outside her home but also inside the home. Every society accepting the importance of equality of sexes has therefore, made affirmative provisions against gender discrimination.1 However, in spite of the enactment of these provisions, equality between men and women continues to be an elusive goal.
