Durch Führung soll etwas in Bewegung gebracht oder in Bewegung gehalten werden. Also ist Führung ein zielgerichtetes Einflusshandeln. Doch wodurch zeichnen sich Führungskräfte überhaupt aus? Und was unterscheidet sie von den einfachen Mitarbeitern? Was sind überhaupt die Ziele der Personalführung? Das wichtigste in einem Unternehmen sind die Mitarbeiter. Für einen langfristigen Unternehmenserfolg benötigt jede Organisation nicht nur zufriedene Kunden, sondern auch treue Mitarbeiter, die alles tun um möglich wirtschaftliche Erfolge zu erzielen. Deshalb ist es sehr wichtig, seine Mitarbeiter so zu motivieren und zu fördern, dass sie ihr Bestes leisten und somit ihrem Unternehmen den Rücken stärken. Spezialisierte Aufgabenbereiche der Mitarbeiter könnten zu Informationsvorsprüngen gegenüber Vorgesetzten führen. Herausforderungen sollten von den Führungskräften angenommen, interpersonell und aufgabenbezogen geleitet sowie vermehrt Projektleiterrollen übernommen werden. Führung ist eine Folge von Anweisungs-, Koordinations-, und Überwachungsbedarf bei der Aufgabenerledigung und ist immer nur dann bzw. nur dort notwendig, wenn Selbststeuerungsfähigkeit und -bereitschaft von Mitarbeitern nicht ausreichen und diese Lücken dann von Führungskräften gefüllt werden. Durch die immer mehr zunehmende Automatisierung hat sich die Arbeitsbelastung der Arbeitnehmer von einer physischen in eine psychische Belastung verlagert. Durch starke Globalisierung und Wettbewerbsdruck, der technische Fortschritt und der Wertehandel führt es durch Stellenstreichungen zu schlankeren Unternehmenshierarchien. Eine Führungskraft ist heutzutage für mehr Bereiche und Mitarbeiter verantwortlich, d.h. die Herausforderung bei komplexen Problemlösungen in den jeweiligen Arbeitsbereichen steigt extrem. Oft streben die Mitarbeiter nicht mehr nach großer Karriere, viel Erfolg oder hohem Status, sondern vielmehr wird ein Work-Life-Balance in den Vordergrund gestellt. Ein ausgeglichenes Verhältnis zwischen dem beruflichen und privaten Leben wird angestrebt und umgesetzt. Damit die Kreativität der Mitarbeiter und ihr Potential ausgeschöpft werden kann, die Mitarbeiter herausfordernde und sinnvolle Tätigkeiten ausüben, müssen die Führungskräfte diese Bedürfnisse erkennen und entsprechende Lösungen für einen gemeinsamen Unternehmungserfolg finden. As evident in this special issue, research concerning personal involvement in narrative discourse has benefited from these developments. The five studies supported in this issue examine a range of potential determinants of personal involvement in narrative discourse. These include overt verbalization of thoughts and feelings, foregrounding, preference for genre and protagonists, relevance of the content of a text to the reader, and identifying with a character. These studies also examine different aspects of what is absorbed by the reader, including sophisticated forms of questioning, lasting appreciation of story points, involvement with story characters, commitment to story-consistent beliefs, and changes in the sense of self. Collectively, these studies challenge the conception of what it means to understand media presentations of fictional narratives as well as the conception of the strategies through which such understanding is attained.

The starting point is a discussion of the established literature of environmental psychology in regards to which factors influence environment-related behavior. Afterwards, the author discusses strategies and interventions that can promote sustainable behavior. It is very important that in order to increase the effectiveness of environmental psychological interventions, these must be first contextualized socially. Furthermore, interventions that aim to bring about a socio-ecological transformation should also focus on the goal of subjective well-being. Overall, the findings of environmental psychology are brought together with theories from positive psychology and the approach of psychological resources from positive psychology and the approach of psychological resources from health psychology to answer the question: How can the socio-ecological transformation of a consumer society be supported by an inner transformation of human beings. An answer to this question is provided by the promotion of six psychological resources for sustainable lifestyles: mindfulness, capacity for pleasure, self-acceptance, self-efficacy, construction of meaning and solidarity can both promote individual well-being and increase motivation for sustainable behavior.
