Dans une troisième partie, l’auteur propose une classification des manuels de traduction et procède à un examen minutieux du métalangage qu’utilisent les auteurs de ces manuels pour tenir un discours sur la traduction et son enseignement. Enfin, la quatrième et dernière partie rappelle avec insistance que la traduction fait l’objet d’un enseignement spécialisé dans des écoles spécialisées pour qu’elle est une profession à part entière. Cet ouvrage, qui n’est pas un manuel pratique d’enseignement, n’a d’autres ambitions que de contribuer à nourrir la réflexion sur la pédagogie générale de la traduction.
