Book excerpt: This is a fictional account of the incidents leading up to the Waco Biker Massacre. It is the largest mass murder of Americans by Law Enforcement Organizations/Officers (LEO's) in this millennium. Waco, Texas, is a city known round the globe for massacre. The same for the ATF. On Sunday, the 17th of May, 2015, the North Texas Chapter of the Confederation of Motorcyclists and Motorcycle Clubs, or COM&MC, is scheduled to meet at the Em R Biguns Restaurant. It will devolve into a living hell for everyone involved. This story gives you an idea of how that may have happened from what could have been a firsthand view. Why should you buy this book? Well it is an instant collector's item. Especially if you buy the paperback version. Many people are shitting on the bikers; and their families. These books will be very rare on the day that the truth is finally told. When people are holding their copies of the paperback short stories in their hands and saying that they were the true believers: no one can doubt that. This all came about because the LEO's were rushing the Rasputins and the Swords MCs to complete their patch over into the Californians MC. The Californians wanted a presence in Texas, so that they could eventually push out Los Moteros and become the number one club in Texas. The Rasputins and the Swords were having large recruitment drives and they were sloppy. They took in three ATF agents and numerous rats. The ATF wanted to use the patch over by the Rasputins as a Trojan horse. Their agents would get a free pass into the granddaddy of all 1%er clubs. It is the Holy Grail for the ATF. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) wanted to crush the Confederation of Motorcyclists and Motorcycle Clubs (COM&MC) in Texas. To advance all of these agendas the LEO's needed a virtual riot to break out between the Rasputins/Swords and Los Moteros while at a COM&MC meeting. That riot would allow the LEO's to arrest everyone present. Los Moteros would get the lion's share of the blame and their name would be mud. The COM&MC would have to fold in Texas. In all the confusion the Californians would feel secure enough to patch over the Rasputins/Swords and that would carry with it the ATF agents and the informants serving the various LEO's on the local and state levels. The Em R Biguns in Waco was the only place that fit all of the requirements. The parking lot was like a box canyon. Waco was perfect in that the LEO's had the total cooperation of the local judges, District Attorney's Office and the local Police Department. All the DPS had to do was get the meeting moved from Austin to Waco. Then all the ATF had to do was whip the Rasputins/Swords into a frenzy and place them in the path of Los Moteros. After the arrests the Texas AG will indict everyone on gang affiliation charges and that will sour all of them on COM&MC forever. At that point it all went horribly wrong. The Los Moteros have seen this trick numerous times in the past and sent the minimum contingent to the meeting. Just enough to quell any thoughts of violence but not enough to be seen as a provocation. The ATF picked the most volatile Rasputins, and oiled them with liquor and drugs and pep talks. When Los Moteros arrived they stepped into a hornets nest. But what set the massacre off? What caused to LEO's to panic and start shooting blindly into the crowd of bikers? One predominant theory is that one of the Rasputins was an ATF agent, high on crank. Los Moteros pointed him out, he panicked and shot a Motero while simultaneously yelling for help. The LEO's charged into the parking lot shooting everyone not wearing the specific identifier that the agent was known to wear. Another is that the LEO's had whipped the Rasputins into such a frenzy that one of them panicked and shot a Motero. Once the shot was fired the undercover agent signaled for help and the LEO's over reacted.

Book excerpt: A year after the fact, the brief, deadly, biker brawl in the parking lot of the Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco, Texas on May 17, 2015 remains a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. Nine people died and nineteen more were wounded. Numerous news outlets "explained" the event as a "real life Sons of Anarchy episode." Until now, that has been as insightful as writers for numerous national and international publications have dared to be. From the very beginning, local authorities in Texas have tightly controlled the narrative of what happened in Waco that Sunday in May in order to save themselves from embarrassment and criminal and civil liability. Almost two hundred people face long prison terms for conspiring to act criminally although so far local prosecutors have refused to state what each of those defendants actually did other than try to survive. The prosecutors' refusal to talk about the case has led to widespread and often wild speculation. Now, the shroud of propaganda and lies has finally been lifted. In the exhaustively researched The Twin Peaks Ambush: A True Story About The Press, The Police And The Last American Outlaws, Donald Charles Davis tells the true story of that tragic day to you. And what you read will surprise, touch and outrage you.

Book excerpt: This is my second attempt to publish a scenario by which the Mass Murder of 9 men in less than one minute could have occurred. It is a hard thought to swallow: that Law Enforcement Organizations (LEO's) could have recklessly put a plan into action that resulted in 9 people being murdered and more than 20 wounded. Even more so that the LEO's would resort to arresting every witness and holding them under a one million dollar bond for murder. The First Volume of this series was rushed into place to call attention to the problem. It was not at all a good piece of story telling. But I had hoped that it would draw the attention of the media and/or generate enough money that I would be able to mount some form of a publicity campaign to get an independent review.Law Enforcement and their surrogates undertook a massive campaign of cyber bullying and harassment against me and my first short story. To make matters worse, the first volume was hacked and distributed world wide. It was downloaded nearly 200,000 times and I never received a dime for it.While I am not William Faulkner and this is not great literature, I hope that it is entertaining enough to allow you to suspend your disbelief and consider that the claims that the LEO's fomented this riot are true.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Outlaw bikers represent a very small percentage of motorcycle riders who join motorcycle clubs, but they receive disproportionate attention due to their mystique, unconventional behavior, and violence. Although the outlaw biker phenomenon started in the United States, it has since spread throughout the world. The involvement of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs (OMGs) in organized crime at the local, regional, national, and transnational levels fosters violence that puts innocent persons at risk for death or injury and leads to the demonization of “bikers” and the overcriminalization of motorcycle enthusiasts and club members. The Outlaw Biker Legacy of Violence, written by internationally known expert Thomas Barker, addresses the legacy of violence in the outlaw biker culture and tackles the implications of the violence that progressed as outlaw biker clubs evolved into adult criminal gangs engaged in crimes for profit over long periods of time and across borders. Beginning with a history of outlaw bikers and the construction of the “folk devil” of the biker, the book outlines the distinctions between conventional motorcycle clubs, Outlaw Motorcycle Clubs, and Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs, and then traces the expansion of these groups across the globe. This book will be relevant to those interested in the examination or investigation of biker gangs in particular or organized criminal groups in general. It is essential reading for criminal justice students and others studying social groups, gangs, and organizations, or the sociology of deviance, and is also relevant for law enforcement professionals dealing with these organizations

Book excerpt: On the morning of April 8, 2006, residents of the hamlet of Shedden, Ontario, woke up to the news that the bloodied bodies of eight bikers from the Bandidos gang had been found dead on a local farm. The massacre made headlines around the world, and the shocking news brought a grim light to an otherwise quiet corner of the province. Six Bandidos would eventually be convicted of the first-degree murder of their biker brothers. Like other outlaw bikers, Bandidos portray themselves as motorcycle aficionados who are systematically misunderstood and abused by police, as well as feared by the public. We now know the Bandidos were anything but simple motorcycle enthusiasts. However, unlike such biker gangs as the Hells Angels, who run sophisticated criminal empires, the Bandidos were highly disorganized and prone to petty infighting, and even engaged in sabotaging fellow members. This is the story of how the Bandidos self-destructed over one dark night. As gripping as any crime novel, The Bandido Massacre takes us inside a crumbling brotherhood bent on self-obliteration and betrayal.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The basis for the hit TV series Gangland Undercover! Vagos, Mongols, and Outlaws presents the gripping account from an ex-con who went undercover to help the ATF infiltrate three of America's most violent biker gangs. Despite lacking any experience with motorcycle gangs, Charles Falco infiltrated three of America's deadliest biker gangs: the Vagos, Mongols, and Outlaws. In separate investigations that spanned years and coasts, Falco risked his life, suffering a fractured neck and a severely torn shoulder, working deep under cover to bring violent sociopaths to justice. His dedication was profound; Falco spent almost three years infiltrating the Vagos gang and rose to second in command of the Victorville, California chapter. He even served time in San Bernardino's Murder Unit and endured solitary confinement to protect his cover and the investigations. Falco recorded confessions of gangland-style killings and nearly became a target himself before he sought refuge in the Witness Protection Program. But discontent to remain on the sidelines and motivated by a strong sense of duty, Falco eventually left the Program and volunteer his talents again to infiltrate the Mongols and Outlaws, rising in rank to Vice President of the Petersburg, Virginia Outlaws chapter. His efforts culminated in sixty two arrests of members for various crimes, including assault and murder. Executing one of this country's most successful RICO prosecutions and effectively crippling the criminal enterprise, Falco's engrossing narrative of the dangers of the biker underworld harkens back to Hunter S. Thompson's classic Hell's Angels, vividly recounting a life undercover.

Book excerpt: Ten years in the works, a masterpiece of reportage, this is the definitive account of the Columbine massacre, its aftermath, and its significance, from the acclaimed journalist who followed the story from the outset. "The tragedies keep coming. As we reel from the latest horror . . ." So begins a new epilogue, illustrating how Columbine became the template for nearly two decades of "spectacle murders." It is a false script, seized upon by a generation of new killers. In the wake of Newtown, Aurora, and Virginia Tech, the imperative to understand the crime that sparked this plague grows more urgent every year. What really happened April 20, 1999? The horror left an indelible stamp on the American psyche, but most of what we "know" is wrong. It wasn't about jocks, Goths, or the Trench Coat Mafia. Dave Cullen was one of the first reporters on scene, and spent ten years on this book-widely recognized as the definitive account. With a keen investigative eye and psychological acumen, he draws on mountains of evidence, insight from the world's leading forensic psychologists, and the killers' own words and drawings-several reproduced in a new appendix. Cullen paints raw portraits of two polar opposite killers. They contrast starkly with the flashes of resilience and redemption among the survivors. Expanded with a New Epilogue

Book excerpt: Gonzo journalist and literary roustabout Hunter S. Thompson flies with the angels—Hell’s Angels, that is—in this short work of nonfiction. “California, Labor Day weekend . . . early, with ocean fog still in the streets, outlaw motorcyclists wearing chains, shades and greasy Levis roll out from damp garages, all-night diners and cast-off one-night pads in Frisco, Hollywood, Berdoo and East Oakland, heading for the Monterey peninsula, north of Big Sur. . . The Menace is loose again.” Thus begins Hunter S. Thompson’s vivid account of his experiences with California’s most notorious motorcycle gang, the Hell’s Angels. In the mid-1960s, Thompson spent almost two years living with the controversial Angels, cycling up and down the coast, reveling in the anarchic spirit of their clan, and, as befits their name, raising hell. His book successfully captures a singular moment in American history, when the biker lifestyle was first defined, and when such countercultural movements were electrifying and horrifying America. Thompson, the creator of Gonzo journalism, writes with his usual bravado, energy, and brutal honesty, and with a nuanced and incisive eye; as The New Yorker pointed out, “For all its uninhibited and sardonic humor, Thompson’s book is a thoughtful piece of work.” As illuminating now as when originally published in 1967, Hell’s Angels is a gripping portrait, and the best account we have of the truth behind an American legend.

Book excerpt: In 1998, William Queen was a veteran law enforcement agent with a lifelong love of motorcycles and a lack of patience with paperwork. When a “confidential informant” made contact with his boss at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, offering to take an agent inside the San Fernando chapter of the Mongols (the scourge of Southern California, and one of the most dangerous gangs in America), Queen jumped at the chance, not realizing that he was kicking-starting the most extensive undercover operation inside an outlaw motorcycle gang in the history of American law enforcement. Nor did Queen suspect that he would penetrate the gang so successfully that he would become a fully “patched-in” member, eventually rising through their ranks to the office of treasurer, where he had unprecedented access to evidence of their criminal activity. After Queen spent twenty-eight months as “Billy St. John,” the bearded, beer-swilling, Harley-riding gang-banger, the truth of his identity became blurry, even to himself. During his initial “prospecting” phase, Queen was at the mercy of crank-fueled criminal psychopaths who sought to have him test his mettle and prove his fealty by any means necessary, from selling (and doing) drugs, to arms trafficking, stealing motorcycles, driving getaway cars, and, in one shocking instance, stitching up the face of a Mongol “ol’ lady” after a particularly brutal beating at the hands of her boyfriend. Yet despite the constant criminality of the gang, for whom planning cop killings and gang rapes were business as usual, Queen also came to see the genuine camaraderie they shared. When his lengthy undercover work totally isolated Queen from family, his friends, and ATF colleagues, the Mongols felt like the only family he had left. “I had no doubt these guys genuinely loved Billy St. John and would have laid down their lives for him. But they wouldn’t hesitate to murder Billy Queen.” From Queen’s first sleight of hand with a line of methamphetamine in front of him and a knife at his throat, to the fearsome face-off with their decades-old enemy, the Hell’s Angels (a brawl that left three bikers dead), to the heartbreaking scene of a father ostracized at Parents’ Night because his deranged-outlaw appearance precluded any interaction with regular citizens, Under and Alone is a breathless, adrenaline-charged read that puts you on the street with some of the most dangerous men in America and with the law enforcement agents who risk everything to bring them in.

Book excerpt: In the past decade, no individual act of violence has killed more people in the United States than the mass shooting. This well-researched, forcefully argued book answers some of the most pressing questions facing our society: Why do people go on killing sprees? Are gun-free zones magnets for deadly rampages? What can we do to curb the carnage of this disturbing form of firearm violence? Contrary to conventional wisdom, the author shows that gun possession often prods aggrieved, mentally unstable individuals to go on shooting sprees; these attacks largely occur in places where guns are not prohibited by law; and sensible gun-control measures like the federal Assault Weapons Ban—which helped drastically reduce rampage violence when it was in effect—are instrumental to keeping Americans safe from mass shootings in the future. To stem gun massacres, the author proposes several original policy prescriptions, ranging from the enactment of sensible firearm safety reforms to an overhaul of how the justice system investigates potential active-shooter threats and prosecutes violent crimes. Calling attention to the growing problem of mass shootings, Rampage Nation demonstrates that this unique form of gun violence is more than just a criminal justice offense or public health scourge. It is a threat to American security.
