The writer has made a study of The Values of Old English Silver and Sheffield Plate '7 for more than twenty years, during which time he has attended upwards of three thousand sales by auction, and has become acquainted with most of the principal dealers in this country, thereby enabling him to obtain information at first hand as to the prices paid by the trade.
